Hotel Gravina San Pietro

Nice location and good service

Great location right next to San Pietro station, close to nice cafes and restaurants as well as a carrefour.

About a 10-15 minute walk to St Peter’s square. Which made early morning visits quite easy, this was a bonus in the jubilee as visitors were lining up at 6:30 to get in.

Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Rooftop bar was lovely and had a great view to San Pietro.

I could see the dome of St Peter’s from the window of my bedroom as well.

Comfortable hotel, helpful staff and good breakfast.

Excellent location for those interested in being close to St. Peter's (Vatican).
Impeccable service with particular reference to the reception; polite, helpful, kind staff.
I was unable to check the food because I had already left during breakfast and had already checked out at lunchtime.
Satisfied with the choice made and if the opportunity arises, I will return.

The hotel was perfect, with shampoo, hair dryers, bath towels, etc. The staff were also kind and polite.

Excellent location for us who had to participate in the celebrations planned for the Jubilee 2025: the hotel is in fact located 10-15 minutes walk from St. Peter's Square and the same distance on foot from the Rome San Pietro train station. Good and plentiful breakfast: more varied for the "sweet" section, less varied for the "savoury and fruit" section. Friendly staff, but only apparently available to receive guests' reports. In the bathroom only small soaps and shower caps were available; the fixed dispenser for shower gel remained empty for the entire stay, despite our reporting to the hotel staff. The shutter of the French window of the balcony was not working and remained so for the entire stay, despite our reporting to the hotel staff; however, it was still possible to darken the room with a curtain. Spacious and clean rooms, but a bit noisy, especially because of the bathrooms' location in relation to the bedrooms and the presence of guests who thought they could shower at 04:30 at night or sing loudly from 01:30 to 02:30 always at night, without anyone in the hotel realizing or intervening. In any case, the experience can be considered good and repeatable if necessary.

Good location, close to the city center. There is a train station nearby, which is convenient for getting to the airport.

I went there as a female solo traveler. There are plenty of towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and good water pressure. The room is comfortable with air conditioning. If you hang the tag on the door, they will clean it every day. The breakfast is the same every day, but it's enough. Bread, two kinds of ham, cheese, butter, tomato, coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, and yogurt. They always check and replenish, so there was never a shortage, and the staff always kept the tables clean and very well.
There is a supermarket nearby, which is convenient, and it is a great location, with the Vatican only a 15-minute walk away. You can also walk to Castel Sant'Angelo.
When you arrive at the REG San Pietro Station, go down the stairs towards the San Piero Cathedral, and it is a 5-minute walk to the hotel. (However, there is no elevator, probably due to construction.)
I went up and down with a 25 kg suitcase.
If you go down the stairs in the middle of the platform, you will come out at the central exit where the ticket machines are located, but from there it is a long way around and takes about 12 minutes to get to the hotel.
Buses to the city center depart near the hotel and you are asked to buy a ticket at the front desk, but if you have a credit card you can just get on the bus without buying a ticket and just place your credit card against the red machine on the driver's side to complete the payment, which is convenient and fast. You can also pass through the metro by placing your credit card against the ticket gate. However, you have to buy a ticket every time you use the REG (train), which was a hassle.
The location was great and the area had a good atmosphere even at night, so I felt safe even as a woman traveling alone and I'm glad I chose this hotel.
