Hotel Smeraldo

This hotel has small rooms however, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Close to a number of the tourist spots. The included breakfast is wonderful and the staff extremely friendly. Particularly, Manuel, who when he found out it was my wife’s birthday bought a little cake over!

We had such an amazing experience with this hotel! The staff was so kind and really made you feel welcome. The breakfast was the best we had from multiple hotels across our stay in Rome, Florence, Venice, etc. The AC worked great during the hot summer months. Right next to Roscioli bakery. Wonderful location for site-seeing. Really can’t say enough about what a great hotel this is!

Everything with this hotel was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good and staff were accommodating. There is a rooftop bar that was quaint and we enjoyed the food and drink options. The hotel is centrally located and we were able to walk to all tourist sites easily. Lots of great shopping and souvenirs! Highly recommend this hotel.

This was a great place to stay. Centrally located and walkable to many of Rome's tourist attractions. It appears the rooms have been redone recently and were very clean. Our room had a king bed so the room itself is smaller, but provided a nice closet and chaise lounge to hold our stuff. The hotel service was incredible. They welcomed us with espressos when we arrived and provided recommendations. The hotel also has a rooftop bar which was a great addition.

The rooms and common areas were impeccably clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was exceptional, offering a wide variety of delicious options that cater to all tastes. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Campo De’ Fiori, making it easy to explore the city’s attractions. The staff were the most helpful and accommodating I’ve ever encountered, ensuring that all our needs were met with a smile. This hotel did not disappoint and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Rome.

Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms. Rooftop views from communal areas. Decent continental breakfast options with good coffee. It is a historic old building with a very walkable location to food and many sites. The floor plan of the rooms are pretty tight, but you don't go to Rome to stay in the room. The building has tons of charm, the staff was fantastic and helped us stow our luggage until we could check in. Bring comfortable walking shoes. There is so much to see and most of it is within walking distance.

We rented 4 rooms and stayed for 3 nights over Easter weekend. The location is wonderful - yes a bit of foot traffic around but that is what gives it a great vibe. Shops at your fingertips and convenient walk to Trastevere and other sites. Staff was wonderful and helped with transportation and taxis when needed. Rooms are definitely on the small side, but functional and it's a clean safe place to rest your head after a long day. Breakfast was included with very good selection of traditional Italian items. And the rooftop bar was a big draw for our group....even on a rainy evening, they had it covered with clear flaps and lights...it was beautiful. No complaints here - would definitely stay again.

We had a family suite and it was worth every penny. The staff were all amazing. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and our experience in Rome was enjoyable. They assisted with multiple transfers and assisted with directions. The rooms were all clean. It is a great location. The only negative due to the location in the city was that it was noisy at night so bring ear plugs if you need it quiet. The breakfast was amazing! Highly recommend and would book again!

The hotel is really nice, and although the AC warmed up the rooms too much, the hotel stuff supplied fans to chill the room.

Across from the famous roscioli Bakery, and about 4 minutes walking from campo di fiori.
The food at breakfast was good and there were also savory options (Italians tend ti eat only sweer breakfast), although more vegam options or just more varieties in the vegetables would be nice.
The hotel was kubd enough for an early check in (we were after a red eye flight)
And all the stuff were knowledgeable and very nice.
