Hotel Smeraldo

I personally stay here as well as book for clients and this hotel is perfect in every regard.
The rooms are modern and comfortable , the staff is superior not only in hospitality but as well as assisting with questions. And the fact you see the same staff over a number of visit speaks volumes of positive in management.
Top quality staff across all levels from waitstaff to housekeeping to door man to front desk!! Excellent!!
The breakfast is extremely hearty, fresh and delicious.
And the roof top bar is absolutely wonderful!!! Open until 11pm most nights.

Great hotel and walking distance to all the best spots. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Great gelato place across the street, great leather handbag store, and great restaurants around. You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was exceptionally friendly. I had a single room in the annex building and it was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is very centrally located for visiting all the hot spots in Rome. Many restaurants close by.

Had the most perfect stay at hotel Smeraldo, as soon as we entered the staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything. One of the receptionist, Cesare was great he was giving us all of his top recommendations for places to go, eat and drink. Such a great, friendly guy, thank you!

My first time in Italy, and staying at Hotel Smeraldo was a fantastic choice. Every amenity was exceptional, exactly as described on booking sites.

Staff: The team was excellent—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Whenever I needed assistance, they were there with clear explanations, making my stay even more special.

Food: Breakfast was wonderful, with a great variety of well-prepared and beautifully presented options. The café staff was incredibly helpful, ensuring each morning started perfectly.

Room: The room was spectacular, always clean and orderly, with a privileged view of the main street, allowing me to experience the charm of Rome’s historic center from the start.

Location: The location is unbeatable, close to all major sites, with travel times ranging from 5 to 20 minutes. There are also a variety of restaurants within a 3-minute walk, and on Saturdays, there’s a nearby market that adds an authentic touch to the experience.

This hotel has small rooms however, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Close to a number of the tourist spots. The included breakfast is wonderful and the staff extremely friendly. Particularly, Manuel, who when he found out it was my wife’s birthday bought a little cake over!

We had such an amazing experience with this hotel! The staff was so kind and really made you feel welcome. The breakfast was the best we had from multiple hotels across our stay in Rome, Florence, Venice, etc. The AC worked great during the hot summer months. Right next to Roscioli bakery. Wonderful location for site-seeing. Really can’t say enough about what a great hotel this is!

Everything with this hotel was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very good and staff were accommodating. There is a rooftop bar that was quaint and we enjoyed the food and drink options. The hotel is centrally located and we were able to walk to all tourist sites easily. Lots of great shopping and souvenirs! Highly recommend this hotel.

This was a great place to stay. Centrally located and walkable to many of Rome's tourist attractions. It appears the rooms have been redone recently and were very clean. Our room had a king bed so the room itself is smaller, but provided a nice closet and chaise lounge to hold our stuff. The hotel service was incredible. They welcomed us with espressos when we arrived and provided recommendations. The hotel also has a rooftop bar which was a great addition.
