Peppery Hills Hotel in Chiang Mai

We came to explore Chiang Mai and really liked this hotel. It’s quiet, peaceful, and about a 20-minute walk to the Old Town. There are lots of cheap food stalls and coffee spots nearby. The room and bathroom were super clean, and the staff were amazing — really friendly and even helped us organise a taxi to the Elephant Café. It would be nice if there were some non-Thai TV options or apps like Netflix, since lots of foreigners stay here. The only downside was that it’s a bit far from the main spots, so we often had to take taxis.

Such a good budget hotel!! I would really recommend this place if you are in the budget side but still want CLEAN BATHROOMS AND CLEAN bed 😅

We paid around 90 usd for 5 nights and I fisn ig such a steal!!!! Didnt get to take photos but it is good! Haha

Good concierge servce, good breakfast, and good laundry service. Room was alright, bedsheets and towels were clean, but the floor could be cleaner. For the shower, it would be better if there was a shower box. Location is a bit further from the old town and requires a Grab to get around, however there are some food options/convenience stores nearby. Overall a great stay!

We enjoyed our 5 night stay in our clean and comfy twin room, with included a tv, small fridge, kettle and large bathroom. The desk was big enough for both of us to work on our computers.
The reception staff were very friendly, particulary Terry, who was very helpful and greeted us by name each day.
There was a good buffet breakfast (7am-10am) with a variety of cooked dishes (eg pad thai, sausage, fried eggs, chicken), rice, soup, cereal, bread, salad, watermelon or pineapple and tea/coffee.
The pool area was spacious with a number of deck chairs and umbrellas. Unfortunately, the pool water was green and the grout between the tiles was covered in green algae. When I raised the issue with reception, they said they were aware of the problem, which was due to the recent rain. We didn't see any improvement in the water quality or any pool cleaning done over the duration of our 5 night stay (Sep 2025).
The hotel is located across the road from a school and recycling centre. Recommend requesting a room away from the road. There are a number of local restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. There were complimentary bicycles available for guests to use.
Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay at a good price point.

Good hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff are very friendly, and there’s a nice swimming pool. Housekeeping is done every day, which I appreciated. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with great service.

Just one thing to keep in mind—it’s located in a quiet area, so if you want to go to a 7-Eleven or convenience store, you’ll need to walk about 5 to 10 minutes.

Still, I had a great time here. Highly recommended!
