InterContinental Pattaya Resort, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is located on a hillside with an amazing view of the sea. The property is really well-maintained, and you can tell they take care of things here. I got upgraded from a Classic King room to a newly renovated Junior Suite, which was super spacious and modern. The only thing I missed was a desk for working. The balcony, though, with a view of the grounds and the sea, was perfect for relaxing. Breakfast and room service were top-notch – no complaints at all. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, always available when needed. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A Good experience,but could be a little better.During my one-week stay with my family at the Intercontinental Pattaya, we had a great experience overall. The room was comfortable, though it felt a bit outdated, reminiscent of the early 2010s. However, the hotel’s interior was beautifully maintained, creating a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. The business room, kids’ area, and lobby were all excellent, offering great facilities for both work and relaxation. The gym was good,but the equipment was some lacking,the animation team was super nice,but maybe some more advertising of the activities should be made .But the real highlight of the hotel was undoubtedly the pool and beachfront area, which provided stunning views and a truly relaxing environment. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel’s location was quite far from the city center, but given how chaotic Pattaya can be, this was actually a good thing. It provided a peaceful and relaxing environment, away from the noise and crowds. Thankfully, the hotel offered a shuttle service to the city center, which was very convenient. However, it would have been even better if the shuttle ran more frequently, as sometimes the waiting times were a bit long.
That said, the main downside was the food experience. We had half board for dinner, and while the food was delicious, the portions were somewhat lacking. It would have been nice to have the option to order more of a dish, especially since some portions felt limited. Another issue was the inconsistency in drink policies depending on the restaurant. In some places, certain drinks were included, while in others, they weren’t, which was confusing and a bit frustrating.
If I were the hotel manager, I would make a few changes to improve the dining experience. First, I would allow guests to order additional portions and perhaps expand the menu slightly. There were some dishes we didn’t particularly like, and having a few more à la carte options included would have been great. Second, I would ensure that basic drinks, such as water and sodas, were free of charge to avoid confusion and improve guest satisfaction.

As expected from an Intercontinental hotel, the overall experience was excellent. The brand maintains its high standards in terms of service, comfort, and facilities, making our stay very enjoyable. Despite some minor issues with the dining experience, the hotel lived up to the quality and reputation that Intercontinental make me used to.

Rooms are spacious and well designed in terms of comfort and convenience. During the day it is peaceful at the resort and at night quiet - a big plus in a party city like Pattaya.

The garden is beautiful and the pools are very nice. Private beach is a bonus, but not that spectacular.

Breakfast is amazing, with a lot of variety for Asian and western dishes. Overall staff is very friendly and helpful.

If you drive a car, the location isn’t a big deal. If you need to rely on the shuttle bus/taxi’s, if can be an issue…

I recently had the pleasure of staying at InterContinental Pattaya Resort, 9 Feb 2025 and it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm and professional service from the staff stood out. Every member of the team was attentive, courteous, and always ready to assist, making my stay feel effortless and enjoyable.

The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Both the rooms and public areas were maintained to the highest standards, ensuring a comfortable and refreshing environment. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with lush gardens and stunning sea views adding to the overall ambience.

The facilities were excellent, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the resort made for a truly memorable stay. I highly recommend InterContinental Pattaya Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Thailand.

Overall, a fantastic stay—perfect for families. The location is secluded, offering a retreat-like atmosphere that feels far removed from typical Pattaya.

The suite was spacious and beautifully designed, resembling a private villa. The resort itself has a charming layout with lush greenery, walkways, and a serene ambiance. There are three pools to enjoy, as well as a beach area, though it’s worth noting there’s no direct ocean access.

The lounge access truly elevated our stay. Complimentary afternoon teas and late-night drinks were a delight, and the private check-in added an extra touch of convenience. Choosing a room with lounge access was absolutely worth it—we’re so glad we made that decision.

That said, the resort may not be ideal for older guests or those with mobility issues, as getting around requires quite a bit of walking between facilities even with Bucky services

However, there are a few areas for improvement, primarily at breakfast. The service was inconsistent, and the selection felt underwhelming for a hotel of this caliber. At the bread station, utensils were missing, and staff took several minutes to assist, requiring multiple requests. Additionally, a staff member at the noodle station was coughing without a mask, which raised concerns about hygiene.

Lastly, the kids’ club felt outdated and dimly lit, not ideal for play. Considering the hotel’s family-friendly focus, a renovation would be a great addition.

Probably the strongest point for this hotel is the lounge.

They offer shuttle bus to the Central, and this is a good service, considering their location.

I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel with a breathtaking view of the beautiful Pattaya Ocean. The highlight of my stay was the stunning swimming pool, which was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sun. The club lounge service was exceptional, offering a variety of delicious food that catered to every taste. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway. Cannot say enough good things about this place. My wife booked it from Canada after looking at properties online. She booked us into the pool villa (two Queens). Travelling with our 17 year old son. So nice as a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Tranquil, relaxing, great views. Also nice dichotomy from the walking street in Pattaya that we did a quick tour through. Would highly recommend. About 10-15 min into downtown. A great relaxing stay, I wish I had more time to spend here. Will be back, hopefully for 2-3 days next time.

Just had another great stay at Intercontinental Pattaya Resort! The staff always make me feel like a VIP, and their hospitality is on point.

I booked a club room and asked for early check-in, but it wasn’t ready, so I chilled in the oceanview club lounge with some food and drinks. After a bit of a wait, they upgraded me to a suite! Loved it!

The room was spacious, with all the amenities - huge bathtub, big balcony, and a sweet garden view. The swimming pools were a vibe, and it was the perfect getaway from the city noise.

The food at the lounge and restaurants? So good. Service? Top-notch, as always.
