This hotel was booked by my Agent after I requested a 5 star hotel. Lovely staff everywhere but upon seeing our room we were underwhelmed. Not really a 5 star hotel. It was dated with yellow walls, small, smelly. There is a canal running through the hotel and the smell of sewerage was a final straw for me. Checked out after one night and my agent could not get any refund for the 3 more nights we had already paid for (although they acknowledge the smell and it is due to local authority works ie. Not their fault) They did offer us an alternative room, but once you’re used to 5 star luxury, it’s just not up to that class. The pool cushions were dirty and the pool backs into the canal, so many mosquitos :(
I would say that the breakfast was good, but again not 5 star experience.
If you like walking street, then this place is for you! You can hear the music through the night and the hotel has easy access to the end of that street on one side and also another entrance where you can find lost of restaurants etc.
Their guest relations and reception staff were apologetic and genuinely sorry to see us go, I’m not a confrontational type of person, so we just gave them some feedback and left.

I recently stayed at Siam Bayshore Resort in Pattaya, and I must say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had – and I travel frequently. The resort may boast about being a 5-star property, but in reality, it falls far below even 3-star expectations.

1. Terrible Food and Breakfast:
The food served at the resort was bland, cold, and of extremely poor quality. The so-called breakfast buffet was completely underwhelming – very few options, stale bread, watery juice, and even the eggs were overcooked and left sitting out for too long. I expected at least a decent morning spread at a place that claims to be high-end, but this was more like a budget motel breakfast gone wrong.

2. Housekeeping Was a Disaster:
The room was not cleaned properly when we arrived – hair on the floor, smudges on the mirror, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. When we asked housekeeping to come and clean again, they seemed annoyed and rushed through the job. Towels were not replaced regularly, toiletries were not refilled, and overall, the staff showed zero attention to detail.

3. Room Size and Condition:
The rooms were shockingly small, outdated, and not at all what the photos online suggest. The furniture was worn-out, and the bed was uncomfortable with poor-quality linens. The balcony was so tiny it felt pointless. Nothing about the room felt like a luxury experience. Honestly, I’ve stayed in budget hotels that offered more comfort and space.

4. Worst Hospitality Ever:
The staff was rude and indifferent. Every request was met with reluctance or outright dismissal. No greetings, no smiles, no assistance with bags – just cold and careless service all around. We didn’t feel welcomed or valued as guests for even a moment during our stay.

5. Not Worth the Price – Not 5-Star by Any Standard:
For the price we paid, this resort is an absolute rip-off. The facilities are outdated, the service is abysmal, and the experience was so far from “luxury” that I’m still shocked they’re allowed to market themselves as a 5-star resort.

Final Verdict:
Do yourself a favor and avoid Siam Bayshore Resort. You can get better service, cleaner rooms, and much better food at half the price elsewhere in Pattaya. This was supposed to be a relaxing getaway, but it turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal. I would never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Great stay. close to night life, walking street, beach, ferry dock to Ko Lan. Security maintains guest grounds from foot traffic outside. Places to eat and explore just outside the door. Facilities inside are clean and maintained. Pool is lovely, rooms are spacious. Foot bridge crosses a public canal which emits an odor but is being addressed. Would recommend, would stay again.

Worst service by receptionists.

When we checked in. They let us check in 1 hour late. Then they asked us to check out on time before 12pm. Worst management skills by receptions as well. When we checked out. We left one of our water gun in the room. The receptionist asked me to go take it by myself in the room even though we have already checked out and the housekeepers could easily bring it to the reception where I was. When I got to the room, the housekeeper said someone took it already. I had to come back to the reception. When I asked receptionist she told me to sit down and wait like I have nothing to do except wait for them till their important, busy work are done. It was just running around in the hotel instead of enjoying my Songkran holiday

i stayed in a room in the conference hall building. the room was basic which was ok, but it was not as clean as i had expected (pubic hair from previous guest left by the side of bathtub, took 3 days for housekeeper to spot and removed it), the chair by the desk made me itchy. there’s LOUD music by the beach till midnight or even later so stay somewhere else if you are an early sleeper. gym is very small. didn’t have much dinning choices bc the restaurants on the main street outside are mostly indian. there were more choices by the beach tho.

Rooms are looking very tired , it doesn’t need to look modern or chic but it would be great if they could preserve the current style and just maintained the decor and furnishings better.

Check in was a mess, staff couldn’t differentiate who is who due to the large amounts of people surrounding the check in counter. Housekeeping , lots of areas not cleaned , towels and bottled water not replaced.

Suggest guests to buy their breakfast , as there aren’t that many morning options around the area. Evenings and nighttimes transforms the entire district to a bustling sleazy zone. But if that’s your gig, then it really is one of the best places to be.

The best things is that the hotel isolates its guests away from the hustle and bustle. The pools and gardens provide a calm place to relax. I especially enjoy the pool by the coastline rather than the larger pool inside the resort complex

There are two entires of this resort, back side is walking street from side is lot of Indian restaurants. Rooms are neat and clean. Overall it’s a good experience.

Location is good.. very rude staff, rooms are old and smelly.. big waste water channel passes from centre of property.. better courtesy can be offered. Though rooms were available, we were charged 2000 bhat for each room for early check-in.. some consideration would have been appreciated

First of all, there is no beach access as the pictures suggest so it is a fake! More importantly, all three rooms had a termite infestation, which the resort management did not really care for. All they did was send a housekeeper with a bug spray. They did not even apologize for that, so I guess it is a norm in this resort. Termites on the desk, the TV stand, and a colony behind the wooden mirror, which seems that never been cleaned; and who knows where else. Also, termites were found around the coffee tray, and inside the water kettle! Moreover, the rooms were very dirty even after we asked for a room make up. The floors and corners were all grubby and dusty. In addition, the air conditioner was making loud and annoying noises the whole time no matter what sitting it was on; which made sleeping even more difficult. Also, the night before check-out, all of our keys stopped working, and we all had to make the long walk towards the lobby to reactivate them; and again, no apologies for that either so I am guessing it was intentional. Additionally, the phone line was disconnected after housekeeping supposedly made up the room on our last day, and did not bother to reconnect it. One more thing, there were no laundry bags inside the rooms, and sometimes housekeeping brought a bag when they picked up the laundry and other times they simply did not, so we had to use shopping bags to put the laundry in. Bottom line, you are better off sleeping in a tent on the street than spending a penny on this so-called resort. I fully understand that this is a tropical country with abundant animals, but as a former hotel employee, I know there is no excuse for termites. This was undoubtedly the worst resort I have stayed in so far.

This resort is a secret oasis, hidden away at the end of the walking street. The team here are genuine and goes above and beyond to accommodate.

Gym, two pools, tennis court, spa, and peaceful. Great place for family as they have security at the gated entrances.

Hope this helps someone out!
