The Bostancı Mini-hotel

Our stay at The Bostancı Hotel was a huge disappointment and fell far short of a 4-star standard. The breakfast was of very poor quality, and to our surprise, the only coffee option available was instant coffee—nothing else. Our room smelled strongly of cigarettes, there was a water leak, and the shower was dirty, outdated, and had no water pressure. Communication was a major issue, as the staff only spoke Turkish. The female receptionist was unfriendly and unhelpful, and we couldn’t address our concerns because she didn’t speak either English or Russian, even though the listing claimed staff spoke both languages.

The experience was so bad that we decided to cut our stay short after just one night, even though we risked losing our money. On the bright side, when we checked out, a different receptionist named Bora spoke English, apologized for our experience, and promised to request a refund for our stay. While his professionalism was appreciated, it couldn’t make up for the poor quality and misrepresentation of this hotel. Overall, The Bostancı Hotel does not meet the standards of a 4-star property, and I cannot recommend it.
