The room was decent and overall well-kept. It could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleanliness, but nothing major. The breakfast was a nice start to the day — simple but satisfying. The coffee wasn’t the best, but it did the job.
One downside is the thin doors — you can hear pretty much everything from the hallway, especially when guests are loud. Of course, that's more about the people staying there than the hotel itself.
On the bright side, the staff was very welcoming and always smiling, which made the atmosphere warmer and more pleasant. Friendly people really make a difference.

Service from three star hotel without manners and help and decent advise. Receptionist a guy with beard, didnt give clear confirmation for pickup hotel from airport, ended up not having it, just right when i landed and i have to call him. When i call him to ask for help, he answer with rude atittude.
When arriving to room, it says has heater, no heater at all. Istanbul is cold now. I will be dying if i stay there.
I have to upgrade my room that has ACTUAL heater. And payment has to be cash no card, and no information about this before. Bad facility thats for you.
Room service, they dont throw the trash out and just organizing my things? Are u cleaning or organizer?
Room i book for upgrade has door through the garden, im solo traveler female, its opened not closed no key to close. I ask that guy with beard, and he lock the door while complain to me saying this door usually open in summer, and he keep complaining saying we usually open this door. Since i still have God and im not idiot like him, i didnt start any argument further and simply says I WANT IT TO BE LOCKED.
Theres no safety guarantee in here. They dont understand safety, they are lazy and basically they are scammers.

A Great Stay with Exceptional Staff, but Beware the Receptionist
I’ve stayed in several hostels in the area, and I can confidently say this one stands out as the best. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, making for a pleasant stay. However, the breakfast is below average and could use some improvement.
What truly makes this hostel special is the exceptional service provided by Muhamt and Nerzis. Their warmth, professionalism, and willingness to help create a welcoming atmosphere that every guest appreciates. They are undoubtedly the heart of this place.
Unfortunately, the biggest drawback is the daytime receptionist. His attitude is consistently unwelcoming, with poor communication and a visibly negative demeanor towards guests. Many visitors, including myself, have shared the same experience. To avoid unnecessary frustration, I’d recommend minimizing interactions with him.
Overall, this hostel is a great choice, thanks to its comfortable rooms and outstanding staff—just be mindful of the reception experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cheers Lighthouse. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The bar is good fun in the evenings, played Jenga & Table Tennis with other guests which was good fun.
The location is great, 5 mins walk to the centre where the Blue Mosque is located. Lots of good restaurants around.
The rooms are basic you pay for what you get. It was very cheap.
Drink is 250 lira a pint.
If you are on a budget this suits.

Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the room. I ate well, drank well and above all danced well. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel for the 3rd time. I'll be back again next year. I recommend this establishment. The staff is very pleasant, especially Eddy who has become a very good friend.

Staff were amazing and beyond helpful - top vibes. There are hostel run events ran every evening, guaranteeing you will always have an evening plan if you want it.
The rooms are clean, and some have nice balcony views over the ocean - depending what side of the building you are on.
The breakfast is very good and there is plenty of it. Watermelon being one of my favorites for some sweet sweet hydration (especially if you had a couple of 'blue Jay' cocktails the night before!).
Location is amazing for quick access to the Hagia Sophia, blue mosque, tram stops and food/drink.
Had a great time, twas absolutely smashing

My best friend and I stayed at Cheers Lighthouse for 5 nights in late July 2022 and we had the absolute best experience! The location was perfect - Great views and close to many tourist attractions. But what made this Hostel truly amazing were the staff. Jay, the bartender, Murat, and Tumay made our stay so much fun! We played games and enjoyed the events they had every night. The atmosphere was always positive and fun, and the food and drinks were great. For two female travelers, they made us feel comfortable and made our stay in Istanbul truly amazing. We will be back! ❤

This was my best experience. Highly recommended to be at here. They organise different parties everyday. Specifically on Saturday, the belly dance with barbecue and games. Host are really great and cooperative. Breakfast is also good. Location wise close to prime tourist destination (Hague Sophie).

Well ,it was nice hostel ,because of the guests mainly.
Too many stairs.
I stayed in female 6beds dorm,
Bed was comfortable ,but door handle and the key were broken and they tried to fix it but no success , for us was more easy to just keep the door open whole time!!
There was an BBQ event and me and some other guests joined that for 15€ , food was delicious plus one free drink ,but it doesn't worth it .
But the main reason I won't go back here is, you are not allowed to drink other drinks ,alcoholic or not there. bar is in common area ,so when I was drinking a beer on terrace , bar tender came and told me I'm not allowed to drink things they serve at their bar , and if I wanna drink them I have to do it in my room! Nothing to say !
So unreasonable , rude ,...

This hostel is amazing. The beds are comfortable, the showers are nice and warm, the rooms are clean, and most of all, the people really add to the atmosphere of this place. The Cheers Lighthouse team are extremely fun, caring, and polite. There are activities at the hostel everyday. (I think I might have done all of them) There is karaoke, delicious bbq nights, pub crawls, belly dances, and shisha nights. (I might have missed something) You will never be bored here and if you want a quiet night, the rooms remain quiet even when there are parties going on. Stay here. I am sure you'll love it as much as I did.
