We had a wonderful week at the Marmara Guesthouse. We booked quickly to celebrate my birthday in Istanbul and were so touched by the warm and personal confirmation for a sea-view room. Every morning, breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a delightful surprise—varied, delicious, and of excellent quality.
At such a fair price, we didn’t expect too much, but we were more than pleasantly surprised: friendly, clean, personal, with a truly family-like atmosphere, yet always professional. We would love to come back and enjoy it all again.

Merhaba.
I've stayed at Marmara Guesthouse for 4 nights with my father, and the experience there was lovely.
Room, breakfast, kindness and quality of the staff, proximity from both mosques...
Everything was great.

Breakfast and the terrace were wonderful.
Service was ok. The room was ok, not very good value but for the location maybe it was ok. The rooms have no sound proofing. We were on the top floor and were not bothered by the sounds from breakfast as we were always up early, but every night we could hear our very loud next door neighbours. We would be woken up by them speaking on their phones. Considering the walls don’t touch, it seemed very strange that the soundproofing was as bad as this. There was also an unclean smell coming from the room that might have been a sewage issue.
It’s in a very touristy part of Istanbul so be prepared to pay a little extra for restaurants etc too in that area. I would probably try to stay somewhere different next time but overall it was ok - what you may expect for 3 stars but just more expensive and just manage your expectations.

Great view from the terrace and really good breakfast! The room was a bit noisy, but manageable for my 3-day stay. Excellent location - just a short walk to Topkaki Palace, Hage Sophia and more.

We loved our stay here!! We stayed for three nights here in two rooms, one was the economy room and the other was the standard and we both thought our rooms were spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with good AC.
It’s located incredibly close to the Blue Mosque and Aiga Sophia, and in walking distance to all the main sights in Istanbul.
The breakfast was also probably one of the best hotel breakfasts you could find! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in Istanbul again, the value here can’t be beat!

Fantastic team. Great service. Friendly, welcoming, informative and helpful. The breakfasts are so nice with plenty to choose from. The views from the roof terrace are great. It’s on a small little side road but so close to all attractions as well as local bars and restaurants. Rooms are nice and cleaned every day to a high standard. Would 100% go back and would recommend to anyone. The view from the dining area overlooks the Bosphorus and you can regularly see Dolphins!

Highly recommend this guesthouse. The covered rooftop terrace where breakfast is served has an amazing view of the sea and the Asian side. Their breakfast is an excellent Turkish breakfast. Their coffee machine makes delicious cappuccinos, lattes, etc. I was skeptical about the machine but they use excellent coffee and it was a highlight. All staff are kind and helpful. Location - 5-7 min walk to Topkapi and Hagia Sofya. Spent 4 nights there and would return if I have the chance!

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days at the end of June, beginning of July 2025.
It is a lovely hotel. The rooms are comfortable and cosy. The staff are so very friendly, helpful and charming. The location close to the beautiful Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace is superb. It is also close to the Metro system and tram station, making the rest of the beautiful city of Istanbul very accessible. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. Overall, it is one of the best places I've ever stayed. It's not flashy or pretentious, but lovely and welcoming. I recommend it and hope to go there again.

Marmara Guesthouse was a great place to stay for our three nights in Istanbul. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The location is very convenient to all of the main city highlights and lots of restaurants. We had a sea view room. The view was lovely but the street was pretty loud into the night (it was warm so we had our windows open).
