We had a very good experience in Hay Hotel. The reception and staff very welcoming, kind and friendly. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and air conditioner works perfectly which is especially important in hot summer days in Izmir. Breakfast was also good with variety of choices

The rooms are smaller than you would think, the staff are very helpful for the most part and the location is great. The management is very poor and will rip you off any chance they get. We did two rounds of laundry (about one American sized load) and the bill was $163.00 (USD)!! I thought it was a mistake so I asked and it was not a mistake. They told me it was my fault that I didn’t see the price sheet in the room, which was placed in a closet and had fallen to where we couldn’t see it.
I have never paid that much for laundry anywhere in the world. We switched hotels and stayed down the road and I did MORE laundry and it only cost me $30. Both places outsourced their laundry.
The management wouldn’t speak to me directly at this hotel and even the staff was frustrated by how the manager handled it.
RENTER BEWARE! Make sure you ask if there is a price on anything before you use it.
Whoever made the decisions should be ashamed of themselves and is a VERY dishonorable person.

Good hotel, will give more than 3 stars. Clean rooms,no smell, comfortable bed and pillows, quiet aircon . Location is good as well , but a bit noisy from outside. Irish pub just next door. Friendly staff. Missing only swimming pool on the rooftop).

Thanks for the honeymoon service. Staff are great and friendly. However, there are some improvements can be taken into consideration.
1. The lobby and ground floor elevator is not easy to acces for luggage. There's no ramp. Customer need to carry the luggage by 2~3 staircases.
2. The hotel is near the nightlife area, but the window is not soundproofed. Noise from the street can be heard.
3. During our stay, we can smell the cigarette smell. Not sure if the smell is coming from outside the street or from other guest room.

The rooms are clean, relaxing and well equipped in terms of technology. I think location is great; you can almost go to the every great restaurant, cafe and cultural centres by foot. Also, the staff is so friendly, especially Şehsuvar, who treated with such kindness and attention. I would definitely consider staying again if I visit Izmir in the future.

I came from Australia to İzmir for the first time and really had an amazing stay at Hay hotel that I even returned back to İzmir and stayed there again. Location is excellent, hotel is clean, rooms have air conditioning that works perfectly and hotel staff are excellent always polite and willing to help as much as they can and as a female solo traveler this was the best choice I’ve made and I highly recommended this place.

Air condition is not working! We couldn't sleep at night because it was too warm. Because of the noise it is not possible to sleep with an open window! That's a shame for the hotel. We made a round-trip for 2 weeks and every other hotel did offer a fully working air conditioning!
For this price this is absolutely unreasonable!

This is the best hotel that you can find in whole Izmir city for many many reasons, first of all it’s very very clean, they clean up every single day, it is located in the best location ever, kibris sehitler sokak is the liveliest place of Izmir, and this hotel is right at the beginning of it! There are places that are open 24/7 and you can eat different types of food there anytime you want, plus there’s a really cools Irish pub that belongs to this hotel and they have really really good food and cocktails and everything, and the staff are amazzzzing, there’s a guy names Sehsevar, who will help you with everything, he speaks English, he’s always so kind and caring and will make sure you are having a great time in their hotel, thank you so much!

The hotel is good-located; in the city center of Izmir, next to Kıbrıs Şehitleri street and Kordon. The workers of the hotel are kind people. Our room was a bit smaller, but we had asked cradle for our baby which occupied some place. The bathroom was clean and perfect. It seemed that the cleaners were changing everyday the towels. You can enjoy your shower time in a hot summer Izmir days if you visit summer. The breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't have wheelchair ramp. We use baby carriage and we need to carry my little son with his carriage everytime that we enter and go out. I personally had a security problem, but the hotel workers were very sorry because of the happened situation and they had given a special importance that I appreciate.

Really nice experience. Most staff speaks a little English, so it's okay. The rooms are nice, modern and clean. The price at about 35€ is really good. The hotel is located right at a shopping street and near to the port. Only thing I didn't really like was the restaurant, which is nowhere near a "Irish Pub", but it's okay for an occasional meal.
