Staybridge Suites Al-Maktoum Airport, an IHG Hotel in Dubai

By far, the WORST hotel I’ve ever visited in Dubai. I’ve never been treated so poorly in any hotel before. The only positive point about this hotel is the friendliness of the breakfast staff otherwise I would give a zero star.

On my first visit, the hotel staff were very rude when we overstayed at the hotel pool during our late checkout. The hotel staff was extremely rude and said he tried to contact us many times. But we didn’t notice since we were in their pool and not in the room. I explained that we already requested late checkout. He talked to us in a very bad and disrespectful manner saying we have 10 mins to go back and get out of the room. Then I raised this issue with the manager Hamza, he was very kind and this is the only reason I gave a 2nd chance to this hotel.

I gave this hotel a 2nd chance, (my mistake) and went back 2 days later. While checking in, the staff placed a paper bag containing my shoes on the trolley and then put the huge 30kg suitcase on top of it. When my family questioned him about it, his reply was “it’s only shoes”. (You can understand the staff’s audacity and rudeness).

The next day we were out the whole day so I put the “do not disturb” light in the room then I called the housekeeping once I was back at 9.30pm but nobody picked up the phone and then I tried again in the morning at 9am and once again nobody picked up. Then I tried again at 8.15pm, I was able to reach them and waited for 20mins then called them again at 8.35 since they were still not coming. They finally came at 8.45pm.

We also went for breakfast and found cigarettes stuck in the gaps of the table. We requested the staff to remove them and they apologized saying the students leave their cigarettes between the gaps. The breakfast staff is really nice and friendly but it’s a little gross to find those cigarettes stuck in the table while you wanna grab breakfast.

Last but not least, we requested a shuttle bus and the receptionist requested us to be there sharp on time. So we made sure to be there 10mins upfront. Then the bus was not coming, we waited 23mins for the shuttle to come. It was scheduled at 6.45pm and came at 7.08pm. The other guests mentioned that it was not the first time and last time they waited over an hour.
Bear in mind, that during this whole time, I tried to reach the hotel 8 times but nobody was answering the phone. I had to call from a different phone for them to answer. Only once someone picked up and then hung up on me so I had to call again and again until a lady finally picked up and checked with the driver. We were already in the shuttle when she called us back.
It is unacceptable not to be informed that the driver is running 25 minutes late.

Long story short: DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL

Air conditioning is not cooling. Complain for a long hours 4time after they sent tecknication com and fix it it was filter blocked. But still no chance and refused to change the room. But the food good .
