Hotel Aktinia - All Inclusive

My experience with Aktinia as part of a package holiday was highly disappointing and frustrating. Upon check-in, we encountered arguments with the manager who denied our booking despite presenting ticket vouchers from our travel agent. They showed no willingness to assist in finding our reservation, which was surprising since they should have records of who is booked at the hotel.

The staff were consistently rude and unsmiling, showing little regard for customer service. The cleanliness of the rooms was lacking, with cleaners merely folding the quilt and not properly cleaning or removing rubbish. We even found several condoms in the drawer, indicating a lack of proper cleaning, which was not suitable for a child-friendly environment. Additionally, our tickets to Aqua Paradise and clubs mysteriously disappeared after the cleaners visited our room.

While the beds were comfortable, the rooms had several issues such as cracks in the walls, loose plug sockets, and loud, creaky bathroom doors. The bathroom floors became dangerously slippery after showering, leading to a risk of accidents. The air conditioning produced a lot of dust, causing sore throats. It's advisable to check the aircon yourself before use.

The food quality was poor, and the all-inclusive option didn't offer much choice. The menu was described as "continental," but apart from hotdogs, there was no other continental food available. The staff's behavior was inconsistent, as we were kicked out of the restaurant for not wearing sleeves by an assistant manager, but others with similar attire were not asked to leave.

The pool was too small and remained uncleaned throughout our stay. The pathway to the beach was hazardous, with missing planks, leading to a friend breaking their ankle. The lift was also unsafe, lacking sensors and causing doors to close forcefully. Despite raising these issues with the manager, they made no effort to address or fix them.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Aktinia. It's best to spend a little more money and opt for a 4-star hotel with better standards. This place lacks reliability and safety, making it an unsuitable choice for future stays.
