Arthotel Munich

Try to avoid room 628, in the annex. There is a problem with the hot water pressure to the shower, apparently this is due to a very narrow supply pipe. It was hopelessly under-strength and took about 15minutes just to rinse shampoo from my hair. Apparently it will take an extensive renovation to remedy the situation so the job is never done.

Apart from that it was all fine. Breakfast was great - a wide selection to suit all tastes. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a good location. The elevators worked and were quiet. The art is interesting and the staff were friendly and spoke good English.

Third time staying here for the Munich Bierfest, great hotel. Really clean and friendly, breakfast is good, and it's perfectly placed for access to the central station, the Bierfest and the old town. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Overall nice budget hotel

We had a great stay at this hotel over two nights. It's convenient to the train station and an easy walk to the old city. Very clean, great service and an excellent breakfast buffet. I enjoyed the quirky art work all around hallways, stairwells and public places. I highly recommend.

We received excellent service at this hotel during our check in provided by Aaryan. Aaryan helped guide us into the parking garage, was super friendly and got us a room in the main tower where there was an elevator to use (despite our booking in the less expensive annex room). He even offered to provide us suggestions for the sunny weather during our stay in Munich and made sure to say hello and check in on us each time we saw it. It was natural and friendly customer service.

The hotel is a little older and has some interesting decor. The room had a futon couch, a good bed, desk area, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge (with some pop and water you could pay for), an iPod dock, a good sized TV, and plenty of counter space to put our things. They provided gummy bears and a couple of cookies in our room too which was nice. The bed was comfy for me and the hotel can provide more bedding or pillows on request. We felt the cleanliness could have been better as our tea cups were a bit dirty.

The bathroom was interesting with two stools but really a place to put them. The shower was not our favourite with no door or shower curtain and the glass was not enough to keep the water in. There is an all in one shampoo/body wash that was ok. The towels were a little thin and could use replacement.

The cost of the hotel was good and we felt it was a decent location. It is a bit far from the main attractions of Munich but it has good public transport access including the nearby central station which is less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores by the hotel that are open quite late and there are some Bavarian/Oktoberfest souvenir stores nearby. I felt safe walking around alone at night to get a late night doner.

The breakfast at the hotel is pretty good with a good variety of food including deli meats, cheeses, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. There was lots of seating available including some artsy chairs.

There is limited parking at this hotel and it is very tight so we are glad we rented a compact. If you choose to park here you have to go in to see reception so they can open the door and guide you to your spot. It may also be recommended to contact the hotel in advance to reserve a spot. The front desk initially said it was 20 euros for parking but charged us 22. There are other parkades nearby but due to the construction in the area we felt there was convenient having the car parked at the hotel.

Within 5mins walk from main station. Hotel is clean and comfortable with satisfactory breakfast. However, there is a construction going on opposite the hotel so can be noisy in the morning. Nevertheless, will stay again next time.

Excellent location, just around the corner from the train station, not much further to the buses.
A 5 minute walk to various eateries and 10 minute walk to the shops. We were in a room at the front overlooking the main road, didn't find it noisy and although we kept the windows closed there was AC in the room.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
A good selection of foods were offered at breakfast, hot, and cold. Although the hotel was full, the breakfast room had space available and was calm. If I had to say a negative, it would be that the shower didn't get hot.
Excellent stay, would definately recommend it and return ourselves.

The location is very good. It is only a few hundred meters walk from Berlin after getting off the bus. The next day, it is also only a few hundred meters to the train station. It is convenient

The room is a little small, and it's a bit difficult to open the luggage, but the facilities are OK. Safe, small refrigerator. The breakfast is very OK, delicious and with a wide variety.

Very close to the train station, go straight for 5 minutes to reach the train station elevator, the hotel location is also conspicuous:
