Arthotel Munich

Overall nice budget hotel

We received excellent service at this hotel during our check in provided by Aaryan. Aaryan helped guide us into the parking garage, was super friendly and got us a room in the main tower where there was an elevator to use (despite our booking in the less expensive annex room). He even offered to provide us suggestions for the sunny weather during our stay in Munich and made sure to say hello and check in on us each time we saw it. It was natural and friendly customer service.

The hotel is a little older and has some interesting decor. The room had a futon couch, a good bed, desk area, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge (with some pop and water you could pay for), an iPod dock, a good sized TV, and plenty of counter space to put our things. They provided gummy bears and a couple of cookies in our room too which was nice. The bed was comfy for me and the hotel can provide more bedding or pillows on request. We felt the cleanliness could have been better as our tea cups were a bit dirty.

The bathroom was interesting with two stools but really a place to put them. The shower was not our favourite with no door or shower curtain and the glass was not enough to keep the water in. There is an all in one shampoo/body wash that was ok. The towels were a little thin and could use replacement.

The cost of the hotel was good and we felt it was a decent location. It is a bit far from the main attractions of Munich but it has good public transport access including the nearby central station which is less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores by the hotel that are open quite late and there are some Bavarian/Oktoberfest souvenir stores nearby. I felt safe walking around alone at night to get a late night doner.

The breakfast at the hotel is pretty good with a good variety of food including deli meats, cheeses, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. There was lots of seating available including some artsy chairs.

There is limited parking at this hotel and it is very tight so we are glad we rented a compact. If you choose to park here you have to go in to see reception so they can open the door and guide you to your spot. It may also be recommended to contact the hotel in advance to reserve a spot. The front desk initially said it was 20 euros for parking but charged us 22. There are other parkades nearby but due to the construction in the area we felt there was convenient having the car parked at the hotel.

Within 5mins walk from main station. Hotel is clean and comfortable with satisfactory breakfast. However, there is a construction going on opposite the hotel so can be noisy in the morning. Nevertheless, will stay again next time.

This hotel is close to the train station, but the opposite side is being demolished. The window of the room I stayed in was very small. It should be suitable for sharing a window next door, but this window is only a quarter of a window. The room is rectangular, and there is plenty of space on both sides, but the bed and the wall are too close, and the suitcase can't be dragged by people. The aisle is very narrow, so the suitcase can only be carried over the bed, and most people can't carry it at all. There was no hot water for showering on the last day. In short, this room is not a good room. Ctrip is cheating me again. Ctrip has been cheating me recently.

There was a pot and instant drinks nearby, which was helpful, but I was bothered by the fact that they were covered in dust. There was also water stains on the spout of the pot.

I am very satisfied with the facilities, room size and service here. It is very close to the station, and the station is not far from the city center, just a few minutes' walk. The two front desk staff are very enthusiastic. When I checked in, they took me to the floor where I was staying and introduced the breakfast place. My charging cable was broken, and they helped me find a charging cable to lend me. I will recommend this hotel next time or if my friends come over.

The location is very good. It is only a few hundred meters walk from Berlin after getting off the bus. The next day, it is also only a few hundred meters to the train station. It is convenient

The room is a little small, and it's a bit difficult to open the luggage, but the facilities are OK. Safe, small refrigerator. The breakfast is very OK, delicious and with a wide variety.

Very close to the train station, go straight for 5 minutes to reach the train station elevator, the hotel location is also conspicuous:

Nice hotel, very conveniently located close to main railway station and a reasonable walk into old town.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
