MEININGER Hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof in Berlin

Hotel was clean, friendly and located right next to the central Berlin train station. You have a short journey into the city either along river 20mins Aprox or over bridge through park again 20 mins on foot….Not many bars /restaurants in direct area but not far to travel…the hotel bar is really well priced and we sat there late in evenings ….excellent location for train station and quiet but not in the hussel and bussel of the city which I must say I would stay nearer, but that’s my opinion and I would definitely use MEININGER such a great chain, rooms staff costs great value

I was in this hotel in April 2024. The location is good. Hotel is just right next to the Berlin main train station. Hotel rooms are comfortable and value for money. Hotel lobby has a cafeteria. Hotel not allowed early chcek in even if there rooms are available. Checked in time 3.00 pm So all of the guests should wait until that time. They hold your baggage’s for a charge. Hotel location close to many attractions.

Super location, steps from main central station. Very clean. Beds weren't comfortable, staff refused to provide more four pillows to the four of us, they said that against the policy which was weired But overall accommodation was pleasant

Brilliant location, the best. Rooms are really good. Breakfast is a great way to start the day. Yummy. Other school groups can be noisy but management is helpful in responding to that. Group booking is helpful and responsive. I would recommend this hotel to any UK school group visiting Berlin. That said I have stayed here as a visitor to Berlin .

This is a budget hotel that does the job, with a great location.

It has small rooms, but the curtains are good and it was relatively quiet and they have air-conditioning.

The air conditioning made a clicking noise all night. I don't think the beds are full size singles in the twin room and there's no room even for a bedside table (there is approx a 4*6 inch space of shelf).

But the shower is good and hot and there is a TV which has BBC news.

The room only comes with a single pillow. I asked twice for a second pillow and was told I would be given one (after a look of much confusion both times) but it wasn't supplied. They supply clean towels if you want them but they don't seem to hoover while you stay so the floor got gritty from the city streets.

However, the location is spectacularly convenient - right by the central station so connecting to every bit of public transport you could require and maybe 5 minutes walk to the Reichstag. The Cube next to the central station has a "food court" called "food factory" in it which serves some really nice fresh food - not cheap but for the convenience and how nice it was (and being right outside a main station) perfectly reasonably priced. Worth knowing about in case you want somewhere to go for dinner without a walk.
