Central location (Altstadt) and price are the top reasons to book this hotel. Forget any type of luxury, rooms are small with hardly any room to spread out. Not much surface area to put your stuff. It just meets the basics. Booking the breakfast there is recommended based on my experience (three breakfasts there).

Hotel located exactly in the centre of Dresden, with a very kind staff. The room has the necessary minimum, exactly as needed for tourist purposes. Very good, varied breakfast. I recommend without hesitation.

Spotless comfortable quiet.
Great breakfast.
But literally just a bed, toilet, shower, sink.
Rooms need a hair-dryer and a kettle at least for that price!

This hotel is in a highly strategic location, right in the middle of a shopping street and close to popular tourist attractions. Next to the hotel, there’s a shopping mall, and below the mall, you’ll find a grocery store, a food court, and a variety of Asian food options. Fast food outlets like McDonald’s and KFC are just 500 meters away, and there are many premium restaurants directly across from the hotel.
As for the room, it is small but clean. However, the main drawbacks are the lack of complimentary drinking water, no hairdryer in the room, and no access to hot water.

Our stay at the Ibis Budget Dresden City was okay. The hotel is located close to the city center and all its landmarks. The room was small, but for two people, it was manageable. The breakfast was okay but lacked diversity, as we had a long stay (5 nights). The staff was nice and helpful. One aspect that needs improvement is cleanliness. The room was overall clean, but during the stay, I could see that it wasn't being vacuumed.

The only problem is there is either heat or a/c for the whole hotel. I sweat all night, taking three or four showers to cool off and just left the room in the afternoon because it was so hot. Over 90f or 32c one afternoon. Awesome room and location, but simply avoid unless you like sweating.
My reply to yours. I carry an alarm clock that has a built in thermometer and the first afternoon, it was 32c in the room. Yes it was only 23c outside but the sun shining into the room and against the curtains warmed the room up much past that. The fact that you don't know that is troubling. At one point the curtains smelled like they were being ironed because the sun was so hot against them. I brought this up with your staff. But hey your hotel, you enjoy it because I will go somewhere else. Stinks you ruined a nice hotel chaim for me by arguing the outside temp has to equal the room temp.

Unfortunately, one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. The treatment is bad, especially with foreigners. The air conditioning service was blocked in the room under the pretext of moderate weather in the evening.
The TV does not work, and all coffee machines doesn't work. Not recommended at all for families or staying for more than one night.
We paid for the accommodation and left without spending the night.

Cheap and cheerful budget hotel. Great central location. The showers are in the bedroom - not a separate room, which we didn't find ideal - but overall great value for money.

I was satisfied: 1) Great location. 2) Great and friendly employees. 3) Very clean environment and rooms.
Neutral: Breakfast. We had several options. The quality was normal but nothing special.
I wasn't satisfied: Rooms and Decoration. Rooms were very weird. Toilet in a tiny room. Shower and washbasin next to the bed not in a separate room. Bed a little bit uncomfortable but normal.
I could go again for a 2 days max if I could find it on a very good deal. But it's not for more days. For sure the rooms are not for more than 2 people.

First of all. It's a 1 star hotel . So the room is small. No special treatment like a chocolate or complimentary sewing kit
But for a 1 star hotel it delivers what expected and some more. The rooms are fresh, clean, well arranged and has AC . Reception staff friendly and helpful. So definitely good value for.the money
