Reviews
It's an older hotel so do not expect state-of-the-art facility. The front desk staff is modest, professional but not going out of the way to help. It feels very German. They speak fluent English so easy to communicate.
Cons: room was not cleaned well as there were several strands of hair in the beds and shower. missing amenities like an iron but will provide one if you call down. However, they will leave it at the door and not knock which is weird. Not very quiet location but not a lot you can do with that being downtown.
But the biggest issue to me is providing low speed internet unless you sign up to H rewards. This is of no value for me and pay walling me by forcing to give my information to something I won't use is unacceptable. This is not consumer friendly and I will always point it out.
We were able to park very conveniently at the nearby Schießgasse parking lot, which is easy to reach by car. This is directly opposite the police station.
Varied breakfast menu with a large selection. There is also a cozy bar in the foyer.
There is also a small spa area which we did not use.
The rooms are large enough and very homely and comfortably furnished. However, the mattresses were far too hard.
Overall, not quite cheap but highly recommended.
