Reviews
Very disappointed and very happy that I will never ever make again any booking in this hos t el.
In addition to that, the noise is an issue that makes me not want to stay here again. When I saw that my room was near the elevator I thought it was going to be an issue but it was not - the other guests in the hallway were. There was loud noise all through both nights. The lockers/luggage cages under the bed are also unnecessarily loud, since they're made of metal and roll on the floor.
I decided to get breakfast but it was not worth the €11. For that price you can get much better in the area.
Location was great, close to many different tram stops which made it easy to get everywhere.
This hostel is terrible. We got a private room. The front desk staff is rude, condescending, and poorly trained.
They offer an extended checkout time if you’re staying a bit late. I asked the night staff about it, and she told me that it was 13 euros extra to check out at 3 pm. I said “ok we want to do that.” She said ok. No mention of payment.
The next morning when I get up, I go down to the desk and I’m told that extended checkout is only until 2, and not 3 like I was told last night.
Here’s the kicker. The water is out in the building until 2 today for some work. No shower. Can’t brush my teeth.
So I ask if we can stay until 3 because:
1. The night staff told me that was the extended checkout time.
2. When I told lady at the desk that, she had the nerve to tell me:”well you’re just saying that…you can say anything.” She had the nerve to call me a liar.
3. If I’m paying extra to stay extra…I think it’s fair that I can brush my teeth and shower before I travel. Full stop. When I suggested that we pay the 13 extra and stay until 30 minutes after they get their water back on, she rudely told me no and that “you need to leave right now or pay the 13 and get out at 2.” We packed our things and left.
It’s not my issue that their night staff doesn’t know their own policy. It’s not my issue that they had their water off for 2.5 hours. It’s also not my issue that their front desk staff is rude and doesn’t know how to properly deal with their guests.
I wouldn’t stay here again if they gave me the room for free.
Also, they let people run around screaming in the halls all night. And I do mean all night. They also let people scream and play music in front of the hostel at 430 in the morning. Security just sits there. I had to go down and outside to tell them to knock it off and the “security” just sat there watching me. Didn’t do anything.
If you like to sleep stay somewhere else. If you like to brush your teeth and shower stay somewhere else.
If you enjoy being called a liar and treated poorly by desk staff…this is the place for you.
