Reviews
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in.
The room itself was far below my expectations. It was outdated, with a persistent, unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my stay. The bedding and towels were visibly worn and did not feel clean. To make matters worse, the bathroom had mold in the shower and grime in the corners, which was off-putting and unacceptable.
Having previously stayed at their branch in Sahl Hasheesh, I was expecting a similar standard, but unfortunately, there was no comparison.
The staff seemed indifferent, as if they were accustomed to receiving similar complaints. Overall, I would not recommend Baron Hotel Cairo to anyone. For the price I paid, I expected a much higher standard of service and quality.
On asking for the same (when i realised my colleagues were given better rooms), the guy at reception was rude and the manager initially lied about unavailability of deluxe rooms . On probing about the bookings, he said he upgraded my room just a minute later. They use English at their convenience and often are rude to communicate with.
The junior staff working at the hotel is cordial and helpful, although the manager is manipulative. Breakfast is not so great for which they additionally charged $10.
But location not very good as this high price
One small recommendation is to improve the elevator time and speed. It is too slow and i didn’t know if it was going up or down.
Thank you Baron staff
The staff is very helpful and the service is top. Great rooms, a touch of modernity could be an extra value. Breakfast and dinner very good. Too bad the pool was closed, I hope in my next trip to be able to use it.
Very quiet
Personal are friendly and professional.
Breakfast is good
The bistro restaurant is a great option, for dinner
Review:
Having stayed at the Baron Hotel in Heliopolis twice in the last three years, including just a few days ago, I can confidently say that nothing has changed—literally, nothing. This place is like a time capsule of mediocrity, preserving every element of unprofessionalism and incompetence from my previous visit.
The staff remains impressively arrogant and unhelpful, almost as if they’re competing for the "Least Likely to Assist" award. The rooms are small and cramped, offering just enough space to maneuver around the air-conditioned confines. The food? Well, let’s just say the restaurant's panoramic views are the only appetizing feature. After what felt like an extensive training session, the kitchen staff still couldn’t manage a simple sunny side-up egg. It's a culinary comedy routine, but without the laughs.
Entering the hotel is akin to passing through a military checkpoint, complete with heavy security at the gate. The reception staff's lack of a warm greeting or even a basic smile makes you wonder if you’ve stumbled into a high-security prison by mistake. If you’re looking for contemporary comfort, keep looking—this historical charmer needs a serious reality check.
