Reviews
Really easy to get to from the airport - a 25 min bus ride and 10 min walk, and walking distance to many central attractions. I'd definitely stay at this or another Petit Palace again, I was that impressed.
I didn't have any breakfast as this was provided at the conference but did grab a cheese, tomato and ham croissant from the cafe one morning which was tasty.
One of my favorite details was the antique cast iron elevator — it gives the hotel such a unique, historic character. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and making sure everything was perfect.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience — cozy, charming, and full of character. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
It was close to main tourist attractions and restaurants.
Not only did they refuse to refund us, they didn’t offer any alternative: no option to reschedule, no credit for a future stay, not even a reduced cancellation fee. Nothing. Just a cold, rigid “no,” as if this were a normal cancellation — not a life-or-death situation.
What’s even more disturbing is the strong feeling that their refusal may have been influenced by *the fact that we are Israeli — and possibly Jewish.* When a hotel shows zero willingness to help guests who are literally trapped in a war zone, one has to question whether prejudice or antisemitism played a part.
They had more than enough time to resell the room — we gave early notice. But they simply didn’t care.
The contempt, coldness, and complete lack of basic human decency from this management is shameful.
I strongly warn anyone considering this place: if you’re from Israel — or if you care about basic moral values — stay far away. This isn’t a hotel. It’s a business that abandons its guests when they need it most.
The rooms are great. The only drawback is that the staff is not very welcoming. We complained about a noise from the air-conditioner and the guy at the desk claimed it was a regular noise (without even coming to check)
