My check in was made easy. My room was clean tidy and comfortable. The Hotel was near to everything.

Hotel is well located and the rooms are average. I stayed for 8 nights. Few problems;
- The pool area is not temperature controlled, life guards apply very heavy rules, 1 small bottle of water in the rooftop is 6 euros, they make you pay 3 euros per towel, and there are not enough sun beds. Another company owns the rooftop so it feels like it is not apart of the hotel.
- Getting your room cleaned takes asking several times and is not at a consistent time. Sometimes 11am, 2pm, 5pm.
- Breakfast is very very very boring. After several days you will hate it.

Centrally located, stunning rooms, elegant bath with a stellar rain shower, very accommodating staff - very responsive when we had trouble operating the lights and air conditioning in the room (we didn't realize you had to insert your key card, oops!). We even got to enjoy the rooftop bar! Would absolutely recommend, excellent value for the money.

We loved the Hotel Santo Domingo. Its location was perfect - right in the middle of Madrid, with a Metro station outside and within a comfortable walk of everything we wanted to see. Our room was very comfortable and a good size for two people. We had an excellent breakfast each morning with plenty of choice. All of the staff were warm and helpful. We would happily return here.

This was a 4 star hotel so, I expected better. The check-in was great. They welcomed us, checked us in quickly, and they immediately took our bags and brought all our things upstairs. I was disappointed at how small the room was. We really struggled with how small the room was and it wasn't their cheapest rooms. There were two more tiers that were cheaper and I'm wondering how small they are. Housekeeping cleaned our room but never replaced the shower caps, tissues or the other small items. Plus, they only had shower gels. I think they need to do better. I asked if housekeeping could replace the tissues and the front said yes but they never did. The hotel was very pretty, clean, has a rooftop restaurant and bar, and is at a very convenient location that's walking distance of everything. I just think that they need to do better being a 4 star hotel.

We loved our stay there, people were friendly and helpful, great location right in the middle of everything. Room was fine, nothing outrageous and nothing bad. We were there for about 10 nights so the breakfast being the same every day did take a toll on you but overall, great stay and would stay there again if ever back in Madrid.

Definitely not a 4 star. More like a 2 star hotel. Squeaky beds and doors. AC doesn’t work. No water. No room service to clean the rooms even for multi-day reservations. Hallways were dirty. Huge stains on towels provided. Stay away from this hotel.

The front end staff is something to be desired they are very rude, not very helpful or informative at all. Arrived early with the understanding that our room may not be available, which it wasn’t no big deal. But it wasn’t even ready at the advertised check in time. The reasoning was that if you book online your checkout can be as late as 2PM which also is the advertised check in time. So we had to wait an additional hour to finally get into our room. So they should change the check in and check out times to not be identical. We went with numerous families that all experienced similar issues, so very poor management for sure. One day on our way back we stopped at the grocery store and got 2 salads upon returning to the hotel we asked if we could eat them in the lobby/dining area or should we take them to our room, the gentleman at the front door said sure no problem you can eat in the lobby/dining area, well evidently the general manager and front end manager didn’t like that upon seeing us eat there they came to harass us about eating even though we did ask. Now mind you I can understand if the restaurant was open that would cause a conflict but nothing in the hotel was open. So not to make this any longer cause I could go on for a while longer, I wouldn’t recommend staying here I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and never have I experienced this poor of an experience. Hope this helps someone out there avoid the headaches they caused our friends and family.

Hotel Santo Domingo boasts an excellent location in Madrid, just a short walk from various historical landmarks, parks, shopping centers, and dining options. The rooms are clean, though they may not be as modern as advertised online. The hotel’s comfort level is satisfactory. In comparison to the less-than-warm service we found elsewhere in Madrid, the hotel staff was noticeably more approachable, which was a relief. Despite the overall attitude towards customer service in the city, the hotel was a positive exception. I’d consider staying here again for the convenience and better-than-average interaction with the hotel personnel.

This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life. The facilities are completely neglected, old broken furniture, dirty rooms, the wc floaded at 2am leaving the whole toilet dirty with feces and the whole room stunk. The shower was broken. The food at the restaurant was bad quality and very expensive. The staff were not helpful. I would not recommend this hotel.
