A beautiful, classic hotel that is truly elegant.
Everything about this hotel was perfect.
Our room was very comfortable (overlooking the palace gardens), quiet and extremely clean and so were the communal parts of the hotel.
The breakfast was excellent, held in the beautiful room with a skylight.
The hotel location is perfect for all of Madrid’s sightseeing and an easy walk to the Gran Via etc. My favorite cake shop in all of Madrid (La Duquesita) is on the same street as the hotel.
What really makes this hotel standout are the staff. Everyone is very professional, friendly and attentive. Sara in the breakfast area was particularly wonderful.
I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

We had an amazing stay here. The hotel was beautiful, and the service was top-notch! The housekeeping team did such a great job. I would choose this hotel again if we are in Madrid.

I am not sure why anyone would stay here. I was tricked into staying here because of an agreement with jpmorghan chase where I would get an upgrade if it was available and a 100 dollar credit for use within the hotel. I should have known not to use it. I have used this with other hotels (much better ones) and the rooms were fantastic, the credit I could use towards room service. Here I spent over an hour trying to check in. They did not have rooms for upgrade, they said, but then they did when I said I would leave. They tricked me into getting a lower room saying that one was ready and yet I waited an hour. Then, when I was sick of every answer being no and nothing of what they had promised was being delivered, I asked to speak with the manager and they said the manager only comes Monday thru Friday. And this was the weekend. So, if you ever come make sure it is within working hours Monday to Friday, But do yourself a favor and do not stay here!! I regretted every minute.

First impression upon entering is that this is a very nice hotel. All of the staff was very professional. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. We visited in mid May when outside temperatures were 18-26°C. Air conditioning was not really what we expected it should be at this class. It was much warmer inside the room than outside I don't believe we were able to see below 75°F/23°C with the windows closed. We had to keep the windows open to keep the temperatures down for comfortable sleep. This seems to be normal in Europe, but we had hopes for this hotel being different. The streets are not extremely noisy outside the hotel, but there were a few mosquitos that came in. Something was either wrong with the hot water for the hotel or our shower. I could not get the water to be between scalding hot and freezing cold for more than a couple seconds and eventually gave up. The shower at the spa worked well though.
The SPA: My Fiancé said she received the best massage of her life here. I was unable to get a massage due to lack of availability. I wasn't very impressed with the water area of the spa. The water seemed a bit chilly and slightly below body temperature. I didn't find the jets strong enough to be therapeutic. We did not try the restaurant here.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and could not have been more pleased with Urso! The location was perfect - right by the Tribunal metro station and walking distance to popular neighborhoods. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the spa services were excellent, and the room was clean and spacious. We will definitely be back!

Thank you URSO for the passion and dedication that you also demonstrate with your reply and interest. You’re right, giving reasons for a rating is much better than purely marking the stars. And while I have enjoyed my short intermezzo with URSO very much, a clean and well located place in the center of Madrid, I would have enjoyed the bar/lobby area if it would have had a slight touch of more warmth. I think you’re not far away from the top rating to me (in addition to what I mentioned earlier I only experienced friendly, welcoming and supportive staff) … create some more intimate spaces, maybe with bigger furniture so that spending a bit more time at the bar/lobby area would be comfortable. But alas, in the end it will also always be subjective ;-)

Perfect place for a cozy drink in a warm and calm environment. The pianist is phenomenal and plays from 19:00 to 22:00.

An amazing hotel
The rooms are very nice and clean
Also the breakfast is diverse and tasty
location is excellent for people how like to be a walking distance from most places and “barios” but not on the “main street” with all the fuzz

We had an amazing experience! I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars. They helped me with putting together a couple surprises for my wife's birthday by organizing some flowers to the room and making an off menu vegan dessert for us! There were a lot of personal touches - such as a birthday card from the staff for my wife and everyone congratulating her all throughout the hotel. The staff was all friendly, the water area was very relaxing, the entire hotel (including the room) were very clean. My wife further had a massage at the spa, with which she was very satisfied as well! I have nothing negative to say about it. Will definitely be booking again.
