Hotel Nap By HappyCulture in Nice

Really happy with our stay in this hotel. Rooms and bathrooms were well-sized, comfortable, and clean - no issues at all with the room or towels being dirty, unlike what some of the other reviews said. The staff at reception were friendly and very patient with my terrible French and still spoke back to me in French :) The refillable water/tea/coffee station was great. We also got a mini bottle of rose wine which was a really nice touch.

Location fab, right next to the main shopping area, 10 mins from Vieux Nice/Promenade des Anglais/the beach. Trams all close by so easy to get to from the airport.

Only two real cons. (1) The only downside of being so near the centre is that there is quite a bit of street noise. They do supply earplugs and I would recommend using them. I didn't notice noise from other rooms, but maybe because I went in offseason. (2) The lift is pretty slow so half the time we took the stairs; I would probably pick another hotel if you really need to use the lift regularly (some people with prams/pushchairs struggled).

For the price (approx 70-80euros) a night the price/performance ratio was very good. I think the prices go up a lot in peak season which explains some of the other reviews...

Comfortable room and bed in small hotel well located in the downtown area of Nice. 8 minute walk to the sea and old town area. Easy tram or suburban line access. Nice Ville (main) train station is 12 minute walk away. The standard room was definitely on the small side, especially the shower. If you are not a small person you'll be banging your elbows and knees on the shower partitions many times trying to get clean. Once actually, the water never warmed and had to skip a shower that day. I'm sure a one-off problem, but it was substantial for me that day. No food options, no water kettle in room which is annoying. So this is really just a bed and half-shower in a clean place in a good area. I would stay again if I was in a more spacious room with real-size shower.

The place is in the heart of the city, which is a very good reason to choose. Do not expect a briliant room, but what you need from a place to stay. Rooms were clean, and cleaned every day. Staff is nice, many thanks to Mrs Cristina and Mrs Ana for their efforts on delivering great service on meal service area. Enjoy your stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return. Friendly staff and very good service. It was great that there is a coffee and drinks station at reception where you can help yourself, this is most welcome after a day exploring the city. Really appreciate that hotel can store our luggage after check out and we have a later flight home. Great location too for everything. Thank you all so much 😊

Very nice hotel! The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach, and there is also a wide selection of restaurants and shops on the next street.
I would especially like to mention the two girls at the reception—thank you very much for your hospitality and friendliness. And in general, all the people working there are very kind and attentive.
I had only positive emotions from Nice, and the hotel played a significant role in that. Although the trip was short, I will remember it for a long time.

A good small hotel in the center of Nice, small rooms, but very clean, polite staff, free coffee and sparkling water.

Very good location from the hotel. Close to the central square.
We took a room with a balcony, the room is excellent in size. The bathroom is also good in size.
There is a coffee maker in the room, you can make tea and coffee.
There is also a coffee machine at the reception, you can make coffee and tea. And get drinking water.
There are sweets and lemonade.
The breakfast is very good.
Before booking, I read that many people are not satisfied with the soundproofing.
There was only one room next to us occupied and you could hear the door slamming and talking through the wall, but everyone went to bed after 22:00-23:00, so we slept well.
And for this case, there are earplugs in the room.

Perfect place to stay! Very helpful staff: I was able to use the fridge to store cheese and caviar, the employees of the hotel helped in calling to the Shagal museum to find out the working hours and assisted in checking with the airport regarding the flight delay. Olga (employee) speaks English, French and Russian, ahe is super nice and helpful. They upgraded my room and there were tasty snacks and water available. Breakfast is just perfect. Wuick Internet. Nice furniture and design in a super clean room. I also liked the location of the hotel. Last but not least I was able to pay in cash, important from travellers from the countries whose Mastercards/Visas are blocked.

Delighted with my experience at this establishment. Friendly staff, comfortable bedding.
