The resort had a relaxing and friendly atmosphere throughout. The staff were always welcoming and helpful, and the overall vibe made it easy to unwind. The surroundings were beautiful, well-maintained, and created the perfect setting for a peaceful holiday.

During my stay at High Beach, I was truly impressed by Lia Captain! She welcomes everyone with a warm smile and treats all guests with kindness and respect. She talks to everyone in such a friendly and positive way, and whenever someone gives her feedback, she listens carefully and accepts it with an open mind. Lia creates such a positive and welcoming atmosphere, and I honestly wish all employees were like her!

Hotel is right on the sandy beach, yet also in city of Malia. The beach itself is nice and clean, and there is very nice swim out to a small beautiful islet. Sun ubrellas are pre-booked for certain rooms types. Shops, cozy tavernas, and everything else you might need are within easy reach, and yet the hotel itself feels like a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. Whether we wanted to enjoy some quiet time by the sea or take in the lively energy of Malia, everything was just a short stroll away. This balanced combination made my stay especially comfortable and memorable. A real highlight for me was the food. Every meal was a real pleasure, starting with generous breakfasts that featured local specialties and moving on to satisfying dinners where both local and international dishes were always well-prepared. If good food is important to you when traveling, you’ll be delighted here. I also have to give special mention to Mr. Yannis, the hotel manager. He was ever-present, always ready with a friendly greeting and truly dedicated to making everyone feel welcome. You get the sense that the whole team works together smoothly, and the genuinely caring attitude of the staff makes all the difference. During our visit, we also took the opportunity to head into the mountains for some scenic walks, explored the charming village of Mochos, and visited the famous archaeological site at the Palace of Malia. Each outing added something special to our holiday, leaving us with many memories.

⸻ I had the pleasure of enjoying Rodoula’s cooking at High Beach, and I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious! Every dish she prepared was full of flavor, made with care, and served with a warm smile. She’s not just an incredible cook, but also a truly kind and lovely person. You can feel the passion she puts into her work, and it really makes the dining experience special. Thank you, Rodoula, for making every meal unforgettable!

The hotel boasts excellent facilities; the rooms and beds are comfortable and extremely clean, just like the rest of the hotel. The food was fantastic, with a wide variety, and I personally enjoyed the Cretan options and the traditional sweets. The hotel organizes evening events in the beach bar, which were enjoyable. Even though the hotel is calm and quiet, giving a relaxing atmosphere. Staff were exceptional, always super friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful week we spent at the High Beach hotel.

The entire service is excellent – both the waiters and the cleaning staff, and the food is also truly delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful, whether you are by the beach or by one of the pools. I can highly recommend a massage with Mr. Pavlos – it was an amazing experience. All in all, everything is top-notch, and it’s definitely worth trying.
