Where to stay in Thessaloniki

The location is great with a panaromic view of Thessaloniki. The rooms are equipped with a bathtub for those that prefer taking baths. There is also a gym/fitness center that offers classes. However, the hotel has not upgraded it's facilities in some time (probably dues to the economic crisis). The quality of the mattress in each room varies.

The staff was very friendly and the overall experience excellent.

Kind staff, great location, close to the bus station and city center by foot. Rooms are a bit old and not maintained but comfortable bed, Air condition and fridge. For the price is great.

Excellent service and value for money! The location is perfect close to Ladadika and the seafront so no need for additional transport, everything is in a walking distance!

The room and the bathroom were very small, the bed uncomfortable and the front doors could not close properly. Otherwise, the room was clean. Breakfast was excellent Greek one. The staff were professional and kind. Low budget-low standard. Will not recommend this for business travel, rather for private not demanding travelers.

This was my fifth stay at this hotel, and as always, it was a great experience. The staff are polite and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at the Astoria! We were in such a good location, walking distance to the water and other attractions. The room was very clean. The reception staff, housekeeping staff, and breakfast staff were very kind. I was extremely satisfied. It was a perfect stay.

It's an old clean hotel with beautiful architecture and a small lift. Location is great — close to all amenities and easily accessible from and to the airport via the 01X bus. Room was adequate and nice staff. We didn't try the breakfast, so can't comment on that.

Rooms are rather small. Some have balcony and some don't. But the bed was realy confortable and all amenities included. Our stay was pleasent. The seevice was good. Location is great! Very close to everything. There are a few steps to climb till the elevator.

We chose this hotel for its central location and it walking distance to the beach. It was an older style quaint hotel, clean and comfortable with outstanding service. Stefan at the front desk was exceedingly friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. Definitely coming back to this one.

Hotel is located in the best possible neghborhood- beautiful Agios Dimitrios street. Groundfloor was completely renovated. It looks high-tech, like a 4 star hotel but the rooms are the same like before. Overage but nice. No kettle , slippers and safe box. Everything is mediocre, the pictures are misleading, rooms don't look like that. Breakfast is ok but the tables are not enough for a hotel that size. By the way there is no swimming pool and the parking area that they say they have is always full. The view of the church from the balcony was good though.

The room was on the street and very noisy. We couldn't find a place for breakfast, we waited 45 minutes. It says there is a car park but they said park in the empty place on the street.

Very pleasantly surprised! This is a famous hotel near the sea. Go downstairs and walk to the left to the seaside, and walk to the right to the pier. The hotel is close to the attractions, but you can walk to the attractions in the city center. The room has a kitchen and kitchenware, so you can cook.
