I spent 5 days at the beginning of July. I rented an apartment (224) for 3 adults and 2 children, but I think it could accommodate a larger group. The hotel has an old architecture, but the rooms are spacious, modern furniture and generally clean. The breakfast, although not very varied, was suitable, with a good selection of fresh food. The hotel has 2 swimming pools (Olympic pool) in which I could swim daily. Very kind staff. The hotel is close to bus 9, you can reach most attractions very quickly and you don't need a rental car. There are also less pleasant parts: the noise of the tram that passes by the hotel, but in the evening/night they are quite rare, so it is not really a problem. I appreciated that the air conditioning was on when I arrived and the refrigerator was full of cold water. I got the best price directly from their website. In conclusion, when we return to Budapest, we will stay here again

The room had a strong smell due to humidity, likely because it was underground. When we asked the reception for a room change, they informed us that there was nothing they could do and advised us to keep the windows open. However, this did little to solve the issue in a few hours. Additionally, the hotel is located right next to a tram line, and the noise from the passing trams could be heard even with the windows closed, making it hard to relax.

Never going back. We made an reservation for a room and wrote in the reservation that we would be arriving 23.30-00.00 since we arrived on a late flight.
When we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night 00.00 there was no room for us. And the staff told us that we had to check in 15.00. We showed him the reservation and the text for check in time in our reservation. But he insisted on that you can only check in 15.00 charp. They have not even tryed to call us or kontact us in any way.
So we had to leav in the middle of the night with our Child And try to find another hotel.
Worst service and experience in a hotel ever. I do not rekommend this place.
Luckely for us we have been trevelling here alot the past years so we called another hotel that we used to stay in on the budda side and explained what just happend and we got a nice room direktly. Thats really great service in compereson to that unproffesional place.

Andras (or Andrew) receptionist but also the staff from the breakfast area both were very polite, helpful during our stay.
The hotel is very close to the tram stop, supermarket but also Danube river.
The cons:
We really didn't like the bathroom. Very small, there was no dryer for the water and after every shower the whole area looked like a lake.
The bed was normal and the breakfast was fair enough for the price.
The coffee machine needs to be set. (Thinner grinding of coffee beans = slower extraction = better results.) The coffee was watery.
The hotel is very close to the tram stop, supermarket but also Danube river.

Reasonably priced hotel in a quiet area close to everything. Rooms are small breakfast is minimal. Pool and nearby bath are probably the best attractions.

Very noisy. All the room windows look on the street with the Tran line, so forget about possibility to sleep with the window open — this train will drive you to hell every 5 minutes. On a second day of our trip the sink was broken — told the staff about that, he advised us to use shower…only. No fixing, no room change, neither discount at the check out. Moreover, at the checkout we were asked to pay more, because of some tax, which is not included in initial offer, of course. The room was extremely small, not even a chair, neither chance to move. Same in the bathroom — not even small piece to put stuff on. The breakfast was weird — the only hot thing was sausages, the same every day. And bad coffee.

This is one of the few hotels on the Buda west bank side of the Danube. I stay here every time I'm in Budapest and nowhere else.
With trams stopping yards from the front door, is easy to get to. An Olympic size swimming pool free use for guests, accessed by a door by reception, one needs a hat to go into the water.
The hotel and the street outside has been massively upgraded in recent years, the rooms are clean, have AC and the buffet breakfast is very good too. The staff are always helpful and the receptionists always speak English.
British travellers will need to bring your own black tea and milk for the room, they only do fruit tea.

Very great location. You can walk to the center in about 10 minutes (tram stops in front of the hotel). It offers a very good deal for the price. Very clean rooms and great breakfast. Large swimming pool.

Good location near the tramway to the city center (5-7 min). Soviet style building with historic atmosphere. Open water pool with 24 degrees temperature for free.
Clean rooms, nice, friendly staff. Room is warm, heating also in the bathroom.
Rooms are not soundproof, in a case if you have a noisy neighbors it might be an issue.
Coffee, tea and 2 bottles water for free.
Good breakfast from 7 to 10 in the morning with pastry, coffee, vegetables, eggs, sausages.

Very comfortable budget hotel, location was excellent for tram and bus, the rooms were comfortable, and the service was first class... Andrew at reception was a brilliant host advising us on where to go, exactly how to get there and what to expect. Thoroughly recommended.
