SOUS44 Hotel

Absolutely terrible service here. They knowingly gave me this room with a broken AC when it’s been 33 everyday (almost 100F). With closed windows and a tiny fan. Housekeeping told me that this has been a known issue. When I told them of the issue it was nighttime on my first night there when i noticed I was sweating, and they said they would get me another room. I told them I’d be gone all day for the festival, and they said it’d be fine. When I came to get the keys, they said they sold the room already and was completely booked. How does that even make sense? Aware that a room is needed due to a faulty system, and you sell it anyway? I melted everyday. The temp of my room by 10 pm was 30-31 C. They don’t even do that to zoo animals. Absolutely unacceptable. Very rude older man at reception too. He clearly didn’t give af. Don’t risk roasting to death here when there are so many nice cheap hotels around. Ridiculous.

Terrible Hotel. Never stay here. The girl at the reception Barbara (but I’m not sure that she told her true name) so unpolite, so crude! The management of Hotel should note it. She was also the reason that we didn’t want to stay here. Rooms are dirty, smells awful, so old. Never back here and don’t recommend it anybody!

Worst accomodation ever. We stayed there for one night for a layover at 3am and my wife found many hairs on the bedsheets and covers. When we asked for new ones the lady behind the desk didn't want to give them and only after persevering she went looking.

After this we also discovered lices and decided we wanted to get out there ASAP. Mind you it was almost 4am at this point. When we asked if our money could be returned we had to reach out to the manager who was unavaible at the time. The lady told us to come back the next morning and assured us the manager would be avaible then. In cold, dark weather in the middle of the night we had to search for a new hotel, which we found after a while.

Indeed, the next morning we returned and again asked for a refund. This time there was a man behind the desk. He already knew about the matter and told us the accomodation already "checked the room and didn't find any hairs or lices". Again, because of the fact we were extremely tired after a flight and because it was 4am and we didn't have a hotel and were disgusted by the room, our main goal was to get out there and find a new hotel. Unfortunately, this is why we forgot to take pictures and hence why we didn't have any "proof". When I asked the guy to open the room (which by the way was right next to the reception desk) he refused and gave us a lame excuse that the room was already made up for the next guests. Even when I told him I wasn't going to touch anything. When we finally offered to call the manager, the man told us he was on a holiday.

This shows us that the lady lied the night before, just like he was lying to us the entire time and only used the lack of proof against us. However, looking at other reviews on Google, it's clear that we weren't the first customers who experienced this. I've read several reports about lices and hairs (which the man denied and told it was from many years ago, another lie).

My advise: don't go to this accomodation unless you are willing to be treated like an animal, while simultaneously they are pathologically lying to you and offering no help whatsoever. Stay away at al cost and save your money (that you will never see again after an inconvenience) and your health.
