The Market Urban Hotel
Florence, Via Nazionale 15 🧭 Map
Pool: Pool
Went in the off-season, the price/performance ratio is quite high, but the wireless is terrible, there is no network in the room, you can check in early, it is quite close to the train station, not far from the attractions, and there are many Chinese restaurants on the road next to it
The welcome candies at the counter are delicious, the breakfast options are also very good, the bed in the room is very comfortable, the hotel is close to the station, there is an elevator so you don't have to carry your luggage up and down
Front desk is friendly and helpful, breakfast is an added value, location near train station, easy access to other city nearby like Pisa leaning tower, walking distances from place of interest in Florence.
The only drawback is that there are probably too many restaurants around, and you can smell the smell of cooking in the restaurants in the morning and evening
The location is great! It only takes 8 minutes to walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. And they are all reached quickly within a straight line
The counter staff was very friendly. Even when I returned to the hotel at 11pm, there were still people on duty, which made me feel safe and secure

Wonderful place, cellar and restaurant, very kind staff, very spacious and well maintained rooms. Comfort in the restaurant/breakfast room and breathtaking view. To return in summer, given the beautiful pool
It was very lovely and we sat out in their beautiful restaurant garden but again not worth the expensive price. Also the "Pool bar" was not what we had expected, neither in terms of price nor of service
This is a very relaxing and beautiful place very close to Florence. Our Room was very nice and we enjoyed hanging out at the pool
We opted for the tour and picnic bundle and have enjoyed enormously. The staff is extremely well prepared and speaks in many languages, so you won’t have any problems. Last but not least, the wine is amazing.
Beautiful place with lovely outdoor seating to enjoy a fine dining experience. Food and quality is very high. Everything was great from the service to the meals we had. You get great value for your price

Fresh towels daily, and in a wonderful old building. Showers could use some anti mildew cleaning. Short walk to train station and short walk to any tourist attraction
Hotel a few steps from the main attractions, the room clean and well maintained. Personal available.
Also had their A/C turned off because apparently it got cool at night so they just said to open the windows. But mosquitos would enter if I did that, so I found that suggestion weird. But a nice stay for a great price!
The rooms were fine , the beds firm and the linen fresh and lovely. Breakfast not a vast choice but perfectly adequate and enjoyable. Reception staff very helpful and the young lady was charming
My wife and I together with two friends stayed here for four nights on the 20th April. We had two large rooms overlooking the square at the front of the hotel
The location of the hotel was excellent , a quiet oasis to return to after a busy day site seeing in the City. Thank you team we will return

This hotel does things in a very traditional manner. The team is kind and friendly, and you feel more like staying at a friend's house than like being in a hotel. It would be my first choice if I ever return to Florence
I discovered this place ten years ago and have been lucky enough to return. Others I have recommended enjoyed their stay too. If you like well executed cabinetry, you are going to love the details of this villa
This a three story Villa in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Florence. It is family run, mom and dad plus three brothers. The rooms with terrace views have a commanding view of Florence and the Duomo
Hotel has a quaint charm, it is a 30 minute walk from the city centre and a 20 minute walk to the best views in Florence at Michelangelo Point. The staff are always friendly and happy to help
Really enjoyed my stay. The people that run the hotel are unbelievably welcoming and friendly. I really hope I get the opportunity to come back just for their hospitality alone.
It's situated outside Florence in a beautiful hillside setting. The owners operate hands on and make guests feel like family. Large, beautiful rooms and incredible grownds

Right next to the Medici Chapel, the location is very convenient, about 7-8 minutes walk to the train station, about 5 minutes walk to Santa Maria del Fiore, 2 minutes walk to the Central Market, there is no shortage of restaurants, supermarkets and shopping around, the location is extremely advantageous, and it feels very safe
Loved the service provided by the hotel staff. Thanks to staff Nigel and Rachel!! They were very friendly and offered good advice and suggestions to us about traveling and what to do in Florence
Good location, very close to the station, Central Market, and Florence Cathedral; Regarding the lobby design, you have to carry your suitcase up and down the stairs on the 0th floor before you can take the elevator, which is not very user-friendly; breakfast is 18 euros per person, which is not cost-effective; the front desk staff are very enthusiastic and proficient in Italian and English
The hotel is right in front of the Medici Chapel, so the view is outstanding. The breakfast buffet is also delicious.
Very close to different attractions, e.g. central market.
Room was big by any standards and very cosy

I am extremely satisfied with the hotel team. Marto and Florence helped us out. I got a sting by a sea urchin on my second day and I needed some rest on the checkout day
They arranged a doctor to visit and take out the splinters and give me treatment and also arrange the room for longer so I could rest. This warmth will definitely make us repeat customers
A friend and I went to visit my daughter in Florence while she was on her semester abroad and we stayed at this hotel
Our only solution was to leave the window open in the bathroom (furthest away from us) and close the one directly near the bed. Thankfully, we are both good sleepers, so it wasn't too much of a bother at the end the day
We were informed that until the weather got hotter, the only option was to open the window. Which was fine during the day, but at night, the noise on the streets were incredibly loud and not ideal
The room is spacious (compared to our other Paris hotel) with high ceilings and a large king size bed. Staff were also amazing, they were all very friendly, professional and helpful

Strongly recommended! Located right by the Arno River. Florence itself is quite compact, so all the major attractions are within walking distance. The staff were extremely warm and attentive
Due to Demidoffs strong interest in art and culture, this building was home to Tolstoj and Chaikovski during their time in Florence, and the interior was made with special attention to details, such as carved marble fireplaces, marble handrails or amazing original paintings on walls and ceiling of the breakfast room
What a wonderful experience we had. We were upgraded to a beautiful room which was a bonus. Welcome drink was a blessing after a long day’s travel. We were met by Dario who was very helpful
There is a 24-hour service in the hotel lobby, and there are very nice smiles every day, which feels very warm. In the mini bar in the room, you can drink water, drinks and cola as you like, which is quite generous
The staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond — we were surprised with a free room upgrade and a bottle of Prosecco to help celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture
Although it is not very far, it is a bit difficult to get there on such a hot day. Of course, you can take the bus, but after trying it, the bus experience is not very good

It’s a bit away from city centre but very nice rooms with kitchen. There is a nice outdoor swimming pool and the heating system will be installed soon. Good public transportation to Florence
A Tuscan escape, private villa style experience, great service, very attentive and extremely pleasant staff, great breakfast, lunch and dinner, beautiful pool, landscape, views of hills and city of Florence
The hotel is small but beautiful, the service staff is warm and thoughtful, the room is very large, with a living room and bedroom, and the breakfast food is cold, which may not be suitable for Chinese stomachs
Please make sure to book the table for dinner to avoid disappointment since there is no other restaurant nearby in the walking distance
Warm reminder, if you drive, the hotel entrance is at the entrance of the parking lot, please pay attention to the road signs
The environment is good, you can see the ancient city halfway up the mountain

They can also wash your clothes for a small fee (perfect for us who have been on the road for over two weeks) A simple and good breakfast, very good coffee! We look forward to coming back
Amazing hotel! The staff members are really kind, helpful, and readily available. The room was really comfortable ((and the bed wasn't noisy ;) )). It's not far from the center and the zone felt quite and safe
The boss is very nice and the location is very good, very close to the main attractions. The 24-hour front desk is worth praising and the breakfast is also good.
very nice people who work there who were helpful and happy from day one

Had a great room with a view of the Arno River. Easy walk to the Ufizzi, Duomo and Palazzo Pippi. Fantastic breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.
A very interesting family hotel. The rooms face the river view. The service is super good above and beyond. Although the facilities are a bit old, it is very comfortable to stay!
Free upgrade to the top floor river view room. Traditional Italian retro decoration style. The room is not big but very clean. The breakfast is simple and delicious
It‘s not the most modern, but by far the most personal and warm place. Stayed here as a kid and came back as an adult, still a wonderful experience. Best location, great view, great coffee and very comfortable bed
Beautiful hotel, perfect location with both a gorgeous rooftop terrace view and a quiet garden patio. The staff is attentive and the place is sparkling clean with an absolutely breathtaking decor!
Fantastic location right in the river, not in the thick of Florence but a 5 min walk to the city centre. The hotel was so clean and tidy and all the staff were so attentive and helpful

A majestic and historic villa overlooking Florence has with tender love and care by the owners/operators been turned into the optimal retreat for exploring the city or just lounging in the lush gardens by the pool
The staff are wonderful, the gardens glorious, the swimming pool a dream and the donkeys, cats and crazy looking chickens all add to the fun
They make you feel like house guests in a Fitzgerald novel. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a cookery class one evening with Ana, the proprietress
I had my very first cooking lesson which later became dinner and much to my surprise it was a masterpiece of Gustatory delight
Simply divine and possibly our best holiday stay ever

The staff were friendly and answered many questions without us feeling we were an annoyance, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful which we used to have in the lovely courtyard with the resident pigeon for company
First, it is very noisy as you can hear every movement of other guest and other guest shared the same comment with us. Second, they do not change your towels everyday unless you ask
It is in a great location, on a quiet street but within two minutes walking we were in a busy place, we were able to enjoy our sightseeing without ever being too far from the hotel
Myself and my teenage nephew enjoyed a few days in beautiful Florence and we stayed at this lovely hotel for our stay
I would love to stay there again
A beautiful comfortable hotel with excellent service. Safe parking for our classic car. Easy walking to the favourite sites in Florence. We were only there one night 1st May 2019 but memorable

Beautiful hotel, large high vaulted ceilings in large room. Large shower room, nice toiletries, helpful staff, cosy lounge/bar. Great location opposite Foundling Hospital
We had an extra bed in a triple room but we all slept well. The decoration is antique, the equipment has been refurbished, and the stay is very comfortable
Very close to the station, the location is very good, the breakfast is very rich, the attractions are nearby, the front desk is also very qualified, very convenient, we are traveling independently, the hotel also has a map, and the room is very big!
This is my second time in Florence. This hotel is right on the square, with a supermarket downstairs and only a few minutes' walk to Santa Maria del Fiore! The breakfast is good, the room and bathroom are big!
The hotel is located in Piazza della Annunciation. You can see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore from the window. The location is very good. It is a 16th-century house. It is suitable for family travel
A very good hotel, located in Piazza della Signoria of the Annunciation. It is only a few minutes' walk from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and there are several good Chinese restaurants next to it

It's located just outside the center of Florence (walking distance). You can tell this place is run by passionate people. Each morning start off with fresh juice and the staff is very friendly
in september and was an amazing surprise when they upgrade us to an apartment close to the main atractions just 2 blocks from ponte vecchio. The attendant who was the owner was a very attentive guy
This is a great hotel with everything you need for a great price. It's located just a couple blocks north of everything and closer than it looks on a map. Clean and a great breakfast to boot.
Wonderful, cosy and modern hotel. Delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, therapeutic shower and perfect sleep was aided by blackout shutters. The staff was also top notch. Would stay again.
Her mom receive me with flowers in the suite which was a nice touch
I can warmly recommend staying at relais modern ?

Excellent for cleanliness, breakfast and its quiet location. Excellent everything 👍
Very nice hotel and in a strategic position to reach the center and the peripheral streets thanks to the presence of the tram 1 stop and buses 2 and 28. Clean rooms; adequate breakfast
I love to lodge away from turistic places so I can walk and get a better feeling of the city and the location of the hotel was perfect for that!
This is a bit hard to walk up three flights of stairs to a room in the old city. Carrying luggage is too much. The only drawback is
Friendly, courteous and helpful staff. I had forgotten a jacket and they sent it home immediately at their expense
· I liked the staff - the lady in reception is wonderful!!!! she showed us the city (and gave us the map), she always willed to help (with coffee and our problems). the breakfast was nice, just enough

Hotel Emma Small Luxury Hotel

Our trip started in Florence, we then went to Sorrento and back to Florence for a night before heading to Rome. We cancelled our downtown hotel and came back to Hotel Emma. Wonderful value for what you get
We arrived around 8 pm on a Sunday, but we found a cozy little wine bar (other drinks, too) just a couple three blocks' walk. Very nice bartenders, and no other tourists. Our room was very clean, if a bit small
I stayed in this property for 2 nights, from 16 to 18 December, with my wife. From the outside the hotel looks dated, but once inside it changes completely. The room was tidy, clean and very comfortable
The breakfast is in two star standards. The center can be reached by bus (stop a few steps away), but also on foot. Excellent location for those who need to go to the stadium
The stairs to get up to the hotel door itself, once you go into the building were a little bit of challenge with luggage, but I'm reaching for something to criticize
The staff are very friendly and informative, nothing was any trouble for them , even booking a taxi etc. Only a 20/25 min walk to the centre of Florence

My 68 yo mother walked that distance with a carry-on, you can do it to :). Had a safe inside large enough for laptop. We have one queen and one small bed. The small bed was not the most comfortable, but manageable
We stayed here for one night during our trip to Florence and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the city center
A cute hotel very close to the train station. The TV in the room was high quality and the internet service was also very successful. The croissant was very delicious, definitely worth trying
The room was spacious, well-equipped with all necessary amenities, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, our stay was outstanding—definitely a 10/10
The restroom door is a sliding door, so is not like a regular door but it does the trick. I might be blind but only could find one electrical outlet

The location is very good, about 5 to 8 minutes walk from the train station, the room is quite big, there are many free breakfast options, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Central Market.
It was very good experience. They were very kind. Rooms were big and clear. 5 minutes to the train station on foot. 10 minutes to town center on foot. I will definitely choose this place next time.
The fact that it is very close to the train station, combined with the fact that you can easily reach everywhere you want to visit on foot, puts this hotel at the top in terms of price/performance
It was the cheapest, yet also the first one where the A/C actually managed to cool the room (39 C outside all week!) and where there was a fridge so we could wake up to chilled water
The attentive attitude of the staff was enough to make us overlook the limited hotel facilities. The rooms were clean and relatively adequate, thank you for this kind experience
The location is very good, 10 minutes to the popular tourist area in the city center. Disadvantages: Not very soundproof, it is not comfortable to meet loud Italian neighbors.

I will definitely recommend this hotel and definitely be staying here again
When you arrive you have to push a doorbell for the hotel. After entering you find an elevator. Go to the 5th floor where the reception is. The rooms on the 3rd floor are in the process of being renovated
However you have a terrific view from the roof top terrace

Small room and definatley more on the older traditional side from a decor perspective, but you're not coming to Florence to hang in the room right!? I was traveling alone so space wasn't my priority
Breakfast was great with hot food and fruit, cereal and pastries and just a max 15 min walk to most of the major sites
