Hotel Regency - Small Luxury Hotels of the World in Florence

Cool hotel, easily walkable to all the major attractions in Florence! Service was outstanding, very friendly and respectful staff. They set up dog beds and bowls for our dogs staying with us which was very nice of them!

Rooms were a little dated with USB outlets on only one side of the bed. Room keys are very unique, but cumbersome and we had to leave them with reception.

Flooding in the bathroom from the shower and thin doors entering the room made for a slightly less ideal stay. Breakfast was well made with convenient hours.

Valet parking was fast and convenient, but a little pricey at 45€ a day. The elevator can be a little scary with some bumps and jerks.

I came to Florence while visiting my daughter at Syracuse University, and choosing Hotel Regency was the best decision. The service here is exceptional — warm, personalized, and genuinely attentive. They truly tailor everything to your needs. I prefer sparkling water, and without ever asking twice, I had sparkling water waiting for me every single day. That’s the level of care they provide.

The rooms are beautiful, spotless, and elegant. Breakfast is outstanding — fresh pastries, perfect cappuccinos, and thoughtful service that makes every morning special.

A quiet, refined gem just steps from the center. I’m already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend.

We hated to leave this wonderful hotel! We felt like we were staying at a friend’s beautiful home from the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed by Milo at the front desk. We were a bit tired so decided to eat at the hotel. Glad we did because the food was delicious and perfectly prepared.

Our server, Ricardo, was personable and professional. We looked forward to seeing him each morning at breakfast. And on Ricardo’s day off, Dino stepped in and seemed to already know our preferences. Impressive.

The bed was comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water! I really appreciated that the water from shower did not wet the bathroom floor as has been our experience in other hotels. There was also a beautiful claw foot tub in our room.

Breakfast each morning was good and plentiful, with a nice view of the sunny patio.

The only thing that might not be to everyone’s liking is the location, about 0.8 miles from the Duomo. We prefer to be away from noisy tourist area and appreciate a little walk after dinner so fine for us. On the one day we needed to be somewhere quickly, the front desk called us a cab that arrived in a couple minutes.

It was my birthday and so kind that there was a plate of cookies waiting for me in our room and a muffin with a birthday candle in it for breakfast on my actual birthday.

I had failed to book activities one day but George, the front desk manager took care of arrangements and we had a great day! Gemma, at the front desk went above and beyond when she made me a same day hair appointment on a Monday (most salons closed on Monday)!

There is nothing the staff is unwilling to help with. The cleaning staff also greeted us warmly each morning and provided very nice turn down service. This hotel had done an excellent job hiring and training its staff.

Hotel Regency Firenze is a beautiful, boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance to most attractions. The entire staff (housekeeping, wait staff, maitre d', sommelier and concierge) was truly exceptional, catering to our every need. Our VIP tickets, private tour, and dinner reservations were waiting for us upon check in, and events went flawlessly. The chef of Relais le Jardin, the restaurant hotel, was truly exemplary. We returned to eat in the Bistro for a second night after our exquisite meal in the restaurant. Compliments to staff and to management for providing an unforgettable trip to Florence.

Gorgeous hotel with beautiful art and an amazing staff. Definitely among the best 5 star hotels in all of Italy. I chose it for its location close to the Duomo but was shocked to find this stunning building next to a quiet and well maintained park. There are 5-6 staff for every guest and they clearly love each other and their jobs. What really surprised me was I arrived early and in passing noted that I was leaving early and they offered to make me a breakfast togo and it was waiting for me when I checked out the next day.
I literally only mentioned it and the young man remembered and got it done. Enjoying my Regency breakfast on the high speed train to Venice was a delight.
The ownership with their investment and the GM with the choice of staff is without words. A staff member from the restaurant have me a warm welcome when the desk staff gave me a tour. They really make you feel like a king. Italian hospitality is superb but this hotel is world-class.

This is the second hotel on our tour, this time in Florence, or Firenze. It was within walking distance of several of the places we came to see. It is very clean, friendly staff, extremely comfortable beds, classy. Leave your heavy metal key and fob at the desk because it does set off metal detectors.

We stayed at Hotel Regency for our honeymoon and overall had a nice experience, though it didn’t start out perfectly.

The hotel itself is charming and elegant, and the staff were consistently kind and accommodating throughout our stay. However, the original room we were placed in on our first night was underwhelming, and unfortunately, the AC wasn’t working properly. It was uncomfortable enough that we had to request a fan just to get through the night...

Thankfully, because we had booked through American Express, we were able to receive a room upgrade, and the new room was exactly what we had imagined for our honeymoon (beautiful, spacious, and most importantly, cool and comfortable).

While the initial room experience was not what we expected, the warm hospitality of the staff and the upgraded room helped make the rest of our stay memorable & enjoyable!

This is my second time staying at this boutique hotel. The last time was in Granada, Spain, and it was great!

The room is clean but not luxurious. The hotel is a small historic house with many rooms. The service of a small hotel is attentive and because there are not many guests, every guest will be remembered. It is very warm and nice.
