Reviews
In mid-September when we stayed, the A/C did not work well and we difficult to sleep.
It was too hot to sleep, so we were asked to offer about a couple of other rooms, but these were also same situation.
It was so cooler with the window open. However, mosquitoes would invade and it was a security hazard, so we refrained from sleeping with the windows open, so we had a morning with almost no sleep.
I glanced at other reviewers' similar complaints, so I don't recommend choosing this hotel because of the A/C problems.
Bed: No Large Duvet for double bed! Cold in the room at night! Noise: OK
Curtain: OK
Air conditioner/Heater: Heater doesn't work (Italy law doesn't allow central heating or provide a heater before Oct 22 in Milan region)
Cleanness: Bad
Decoration: Old
Staff: good.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience the 1980s without a DeLorean, look no further! Stepping into this hotel felt like a nostalgic trip back in time, minus the charm of leg warmers and mullets. The decor screams "Top Gun" era, but without any of the cool jets or Tom Cruise cameos.
The staff? Well, let’s just say they make sloths look like Usain Bolt. Requests here are processed with the speed and enthusiasm of a snail running a marathon. It’s like they’ve taken the term "leisurely pace" to a whole new, almost spiritual level.
Booking a superior room was a masterclass in expectation versus reality. The room we got was about as superior as a knock-off handbag. When we inquired about the mix-up, the staff gave us a look like we’d asked them to explain quantum physics.
Breakfast was the highlight of our stay, but that’s a bit like saying the best part of a root canal is the free toothbrush. It was… fine. Edible. Not quite gourmet, but hey, if you like your toast with a side of mediocrity, you’re in for a treat.
For the price we paid, we could have stayed somewhere actually nice. You know, with friendly staff, rooms that match the description, and maybe even a breakfast that doesn’t feel like it’s judging you for waking up.
In summary: unless you’re a die-hard fan of retro decor and lackluster service, give this place a miss. You can get much better rooms for the same price, and they might even come with a smile. 😜
When we arrived in the room, we found hair in the sink and some undefined stuff under the luggage rack.
The hotel has not seen any real renovation since the early 2000... this really has the feel of an 20 year old IBIS hotel.... I cannot imagine this is up to Accor standards.
