We chose the InterContinental outside Milan due to driving, and it met the usual international chain standards. Free parking was a big plus, and it was convenient to get to the city center by bus. It was also easy to drive to nearby attractions.

· **Excellent Location**: There's a convenience store and restaurants right downstairs, which is incredibly convenient.
· **Thoughtful Service**: The front desk processed check-in quickly. Knowing I was on a business trip, they proactively offered a late check-out. The room attendants were also very polite.
· **Comfortable Room**: The room was clean and spacious, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – so I slept really well. The soundproofing was good; I wasn't disturbed by any hallway noise.
· **Great Breakfast**: There was a wide selection of both Chinese and Western breakfast options, and the freshly cooked noodles were particularly delicious.

Transportation: 0/10. This place is 9km from the central train station – yes, you read that right, 9km. The nearest train station is 1.1km away, and it's in what looks like a dangerous neighborhood. On the walk from the subway to the hotel, the ground was littered with liquor bottles and cigarette butts, and people would stare at you. It's hard to describe the feeling, but it wasn't good. In short, it's very far. I was careless and mistook the 1.1km distance for the central station, which really marked the beginning of a tragedy. They even denied my request to cancel when my Switzerland itinerary unexpectedly changed. This hotel is definitely for the brave and adventurous; if you're traveling with children or the elderly, please steer clear. It's unsafe AND far. There's only one bus stop about a 5-minute walk away, and the public transport here is unreliable. You might find yourself shivering in the cold for 20 minutes waiting for a bus. If you plan to use public transport, absolutely avoid this hotel.

We had to go to Milan Central Station the next day and left an hour and a half early, but the bus was late. We ended up taking a taxi to the station and lost 40 Euros 😂.

Room Environment: Can I give it a 0? A 1200-unit hotel (referring to the price) is probably equivalent to a 500-unit hotel in China (like Shanghai). The drains in the room smelled awful; we thought food had gone bad, but it turned out to be the drain smell, which was really indescribable. Then, the bath towels and scarves had a roasted bacon smell – seriously, how bizarre is that? 😂 And there's no heating in the room this season; the AC set to 28 degrees felt like it wasn't even on, and showering with hot water felt like cold drafts were blowing through...

Breakfast: 0/10. The bacon was cold – seriously, LOL! The boiled eggs were really fishy. The coffee was worse than Manner's pour-over. Honestly, there wasn't a single item at breakfast I wanted to eat more of. The kiwi was so sour it could make your teeth ache. There were hairs and food scraps on the table – like, hair stuck between the glass layers of the table. It was disgusting, if you know what I mean. Staying at this hotel truly leaves you speechless.

Soundproofing: Not the worst, but it felt like the cleaning staff outside were about to burst into our room at any moment.

Summary: We only stayed one night in Milan. We've never had a bad hotel experience abroad before, but this one in Milan was truly our Waterloo, hahahaha! It's all part of the experience, I guess.

Finally, and this is important, I'll say it three times: If you're traveling with elderly people or children, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE avoid this hotel. If you rely on public transport, PLEASE avoid this hotel. If you want a good breakfast, avoid this hotel. Also, it's very cold at night this season, and there's no heating in the room. If you want a comfortable stay, PLEASE avoid this hotel.

This is a relatively new hotel, but it's quite far from the city center. A taxi from the central train station to the hotel costs €40, and there's no direct public transport; you have to transfer once (usually a bus then the subway). If you have an early flight, a taxi is your only option. The front desk service was mediocre. There was an older female staff member with darker skin who was quite cold and indifferent, and a few other staff members with darker skin also had a very average attitude. After using the shower in the room, the showerhead kept dripping noisily, but it seemed to have been fixed by staff before the second night, as it was much better. Breakfast was just okay.

Great! I've always trusted InterContinental. The hotel is very smart and high-tech, and the breakfast is delicious. The service is also very warm and welcoming.

Excellent! The hotel breakfast is especially delicious. This is truly the best and most comfortable hotel in Milan, very suitable for Chinese travelers. The rooms are also incredibly spacious. All in all, it's just wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Absolutely fantastic.

This hotel has excellent amenities and services. The breakfast spread was fantastic, even including smoked salmon. It was also very convenient to have two complimentary bottles of mineral water in the room. The location was great for getting onto the highway, which was just on the outskirts of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a really good rest.

Facilities: Excellent!
Cleanliness: Absolutely spotless!
Service: Outstanding! The hotel itself is wonderful, and the surroundings are lovely. Parking is available, which is very convenient. It's not far from both the city center and the airport.
19.08.2025
The hotel is quite out of the way, which isn't ideal for business trips, as commute times are long and transportation costs are high. However, the hotel itself is good. The rooms are a decent size, the breakfast is great, and it lives up to chain hotel standards.
14.08.2025
The hotel is brand new with a great ambiance. We drove and found it convenient that both free and paid parking options are available. While its location isn't central, there's a large supermarket nearby. Breakfast was quite generous compared to other hotels; definitely try the coffee, it's good and you can even take it to go. Highly recommend!
