Great location for us, we accessed the city through the nearby park as we enjoy walking.
The staff were all fantastic and really made the stay, nothing was too much trouble, so polite and kind, my son loved going to the bar on an evening, especially for the little snacks provided with the drinks. Thankyou for a lovely stay!
The staff are incredibly lovely and helpful, especially after we arrived early in the morning after a 35hr~ journey from New Zealand. Breakfast has a great selection and is delicious. We spent six nights on the forth floor, I think it was room 405, which is renovated and very spacious and light. I miss the bed already! They also have usb ports by the bed so you don’t need converters if you’re travelling from overseas. There was no iron or ironing board in the room but they provided one promptly when we asked.
The surrounding streets are a bit… dirty… but filled with great restaurants and bars. We found the streets very safe to walk around at all times of the day and night.

While the re-painting and new carpets are great, the rooms are functional and seem a little dated as a result. But they sport many plugs everywhere, safe, fridge, tea and coffee, big shower, I mean everything you need really.
The location was great for me, near enough to the tourist areas by foot, 20-30 minutes but with many nice bars and restaurants that are not as extortionate as some closer to the landmarks.
It is a well-managed hotel.
There is a garden where locals live nearby, so you can feel the local atmosphere when you go out to the cathedral.
Some of the finishes are a little dated, and the color scheme in some of the hallways is "1970s Last Vegas."
But don't let that worry you, the beds are comfortable, there was a big tub in the bathroom, and the wifi was fast.
More importantly everyone there was friendly and helpful. Really amazing service, they elevated the entire experience.
