Radisson Blu Hotel Milan

The personnel of the hotel were exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful. They all were amazing and made our experience extremely good.

The hotel is big, with all amenities and has a tram station, supermarket and train station nearby making transportation less difficult.

To be fair there were 3 things we did not like about the property.

1. The hotel is located 30minutes from the city center. As i mentioned above it has good transportation communication but still, it is a bit inconvenient.

2. The cleaning of rooms was not the best. When we first got into our room, we noticed that there was dust on the surfaces (room lamps, telephone and other surfaces such as the office etc). Until we checked out, the dust remained there suggesting that it was never cleaned!
Aside from these, we noticed that the bedsheets were never changed during our stay and if we had any glasses in the room, they were not removed nor cleaned.

3. The dinner at the restaurant.
You would expect better quality of the food. We ordered some pizzas which seemed to be frozen and re-heated with no taste at all. They also brought us some bread which was really really stale. So if you have the choice, don’t eat at the restaurant.

I am not a fan of bad reviews, because I believe you should focus on the positives and not the negatives. That being said, I am quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I choose the hotel based on the reputation the name carries and having a family, the fact that it has a pool.

We booked trough Booking.com like we always book our stays, and unfortunately the hotel did not update that their pool was out of order due to maintenance on this platform. This was our first disappointment.

Then we received a hotel room with a broken fridge and very old amenities. The fixtures were falling off the wall, the toilet seat was stained yellow. Second disappointment.

Since we arrived there was a room service cart left out the whole day outside our corridor with leftover food and drinks. Not really appealing when walking into your room, having to pass by old, left over food.

The breakfast was a disaster. We came down at 9:45 and the buffet it’s until 10:00, we received a message that they will not be filling up the buffet anymore, that is totally fine with us. We also don’t like to waste food, but then again there is a certain standard you like to keep up.
so we decided to start with just a coffee. My husbands coffee was just an instant powder coffee, so bad he could not drink it. And I ordered a latte, but unfortunately a cold one :-/
Ordered second latte with the instruction of double shot coffee since I like my latte to also taste like coffee and not just milk.
Just look at the picture. Need I say more? But at least this one was hot.
Both also ordered espresso, because that is the only save coffee they can make here, I guess. Those where good.
I ordered a eggs Benedict, which was ok.

The hotel is a bit outside of the city, that is ok, we knew that, but it just seems that it’s more catered for there conferences in stead of vacationers. Even their terrass was not Maintained, no cushions, no cozy ness, not tidy and clean.

Expected more from this chain.

I gave it 3 stars because the staff is friendly and overall it works, I guess.
They also have parking facility for a few, which was great for us on our road trip
