What an incredible place to stay! First time in Palermo from NY and we picked the BEST place to stay. Communication was wonderful from start to finish. All staff were very friendly. Rooms were extremely clean. Views of the square and Teatro Massimo were beautiful. We had 3 apartments and each had 2-3 balconies per room. Air conditioning worked great. Cafe for breakfast right outside front door. Elevator was great for my parents and everything was within walking distance. Taxi spot across the street and took us to Mondello Beach 20 minutes away and was beautiful for a beach day. Highly recommend

As for the property itself, I’m left with mixed feelings. The location is excellent, with a direct view of Teatro Massimo, and the staff were friendly and professional. They explained clearly how to park the car and were responsive whenever I had a question.
The room itself was rather standard. Perhaps it was my oversight, but it did not exactly match the presentation of the specific room on Booking – the photos seem to be a mix from different units. The rooftop terrace was unfortunately not accessible during my stay. The balcony overlooked a side street, though you could still see Teatro Massimo from it.
Maybe I’m being a bit picky, but after traveling across Italy (and Sicily in particular), I find some of the additional charges unnecessary. A supplement for a small dog and another one for a late check-in at 8:00 pm (which I was informed about and paid) felt a little excessive.
Overall, the place has potential. With this price range, however, I think there’s room to refine the atmosphere and make the experience more in line with the expectations that the location and presentation naturally create.

Perfect location and better value
What a perfect location at an amazing price and value. The room had plenty of room and was exactly what we needed after a long days road trip. Would definitely stay here again! Soo many good restaurants close by.

Great spot - very close to everything in the old town, spacious, and quiet in the rooms. The staff was a little obnoxious during check in - messaging me several times a day to ask the exact time I was getting in despite me telling them over and over again that I didn't know an exact time. I would've appreciated more flexibility here, as it made traveling feel stressful and I had already told them that I didn't know an exact time. Room could have used an iron and a bigger space to put away my luggage and items. Other than that, the stay was comfortable and nice.

Amazing location, next to all the sights and restaurants and shopping. The staff were super helpful and very responsive the whole weekend. We loved our stay, and also felt the room/view was perfect. The only regret was not knowing about the restaurant on the roof! Looks like we have to come back 😂

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and spacious. The hotel is decorated very tastefully. Restaurant on the rooftop is very nice and convenient. Paula is very kind and helpful.

This is a 10 out of 10!! Fantastic spot; sparkling clean, a view not to be believed, extremely kind hosts, close to everything and a phenomenal roof top restaurant. Cannot wait to go back; a phenomenal experience.

Best place to stay in Palermo, especially if you happen to be a foodie!! Large rooms with a kitchenette area and balcony overlooking Via Maqueda.A pedestrian only street that's dotted with restaurants, cafés, bakery, and gelato shops along a strings of street food.
Filippo at Palazzo Sovrana was extremely helpful and always available to provide assistance and suggestions from restaurants to what to see while in Palermo. The location was fantastic,right across the way from Teatro Massimo, a major landmark in Palermo. The best place i have stayed while visiting various locations in Sicily.
