Hotel Valentino Palace in Rome

First off, stay away from this place. It shouldn't be called a hotel with such reception services and quality of the room.

Also, as other bad reviews warned about the attitudes of the staff and quality of the services. It's all real and I know what to avoid for my return to Rome next time.

The reservation was made through booking.com and it clearly stated mini bar, air condition, a safe and etc are available but these are all broke down and missing. Broken switch for air condition on wall, no safe and no fridge.

Also, Ive received feedback from them through my booking.com review stated that air condition can be turned on manually through reception and mini bar is available upon request. Which is beyond my understanding. What does it mean by minibar available upon request. You cracked? A joke indeed. The minimum service requirement is to have those stated facilities on booking.com to be ready instead of “to be available upon request”.

Booking.com needs to manage their review better and also the real services of the room. We choose this hotel due to its close location to the Roma Termini station and with basic services but damn how wrong we were of the room.

Overall, if shitty experience is what you have a thing for. Go for it. For me, I will go somewhere else and raw review should be a negative -5 star.

You really must be a tolerant person to stay at this hotel.
First of all the only two good things about it, location and price.
Here are the things that you must endure for said location and price..
Misrepresentation.. all the pictures on the booking sites are of premium rooms, but if you book standard rooms you get the one in my pictures, and when you are booking the room it shows the premium ones.
The location is great because of proximity of the center and the transportation hub, but that's also a negative thing, because of the proximity to the transport hub it noisy all day and all night, so if you're a light sleeper it's best to avoid it, not just because of the outdoor noise, but the whole night somebody is coming and leaving the hotel and making a noise in the hotel.
The metal cage gate on the entrance of the hotel says a lot about the location.
The third thing is that the receptionist is very rude if you have any questions about the misleading pictures on the booking sites.
So if you can sleep thru anything, and don't mind a deteriorating room, and don't complain about, it it not bad.

Location to Termini was great, which is why we booked it. We also booked it due to the description, unfortunately the description was not accurate. Our room did not contain air conditioning and when mentioned to the front desk, they said they could turn it on manually, great! Unfortunately manually meant that the hallway air conditioning could be turned on. The individual room did not contain air conditioning and when we returned to the front desk to remedy the situation we were told to open a window, we were being dramatic and it was plenty cold at 25°C+. We were able to switch rooms after much insistence and said we were being upgraded. Our upgrade was a handicapped accessible room, which we appreciated due to a functioning air conditioning unit, but would not consider that an "upgrade".
The shower was also clogged. The rooms were relatively small, but the "upgraded" room was much nicer. If you're in room 502, run

The shower was broken and I was getting burned by the water because cold water didn't work. Also, there were no lights so I couldn't see ND the blinds were defective so I couldn't open them to get sunlight. As I complained,Luca, a young man who was working 12 hours at the reception started screaming at me out of control saying that they didn't have another room and I was invited to get out after having traveled 16 hours in total from the US. I asked to speak to the owner, a mature woman, and asked her to make the shower work and show me how to do it. She couldn't make the shower work and said it was because she had shoulder pain but changed my room threatening that if I didn't like the new room either, I'd have to get out. The new room had light but the shower water was so hot that I washed using a wet towel. It was so hot in Rome in July that I NEEDED to take several showers a day so I was afraid to ask, but I did. The uncle came in to check, this being a family business, and found out that this shower was also defective so the asked me to go out for a few hours so they could call the plumber. It took the whole day, but in the end I was able to take a good shower. They left a trail of dirt from their shoes in the water on the floor. The toilet was broken too and the seat made me fall every time I used it, but I was afraid to complain.
Totally chaotic, abusive people. I suffered the entire stay..
There was only one nice young man called Andrea who wa behaving normally. The rest were were stressed out of control and overwhelmed by their broken down hotel that they were yelling out of control at each other and at the clients.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS.

WiFi didn't work in my room. Room so small and toilet wouldnt flush. Bathroom sink plug got stuck and wouldnt drain. Hospitality was good though
