Please.dont stay if you plane to stay with your kids and family
During my stay, I observed suspicious activity that made me feel very uncomfortable. There seemed to be a ************ business is going on.people coming and going at odd hours, and the atmosphere didn’t feel family-friendly or secure. Management appeared to ignore these issues. I would strongly advise travelers, especially families or solo visitors, to avoid this place if you’re looking for a safe and peaceful stay.
1) friendly staff.
2) Room was clean.
3) daily cleaning was done.
4) Amenities were timely provided.
Cons:
1) Neighborhood looked shady. While we were arriving from airport to hotel at night, people were sitting on the street and drinking. We feared a little but the area overall looked safe. Infact all singapore is safe.
2) Room size was quite small although it may not be applicable for all rooms.
3) dont take room near to the lift. Noise will be there at night.
As you can see, for example, the bathroom area is completely open and the flats opposite, albeit at a significant distance, have a direct view on the open area.
Having said that, the open air bath, which can be filled up and stays full overnight, contrary to what other reviewers have stated, and and the open air terrace, which stretches along the full width of the building, makes this a unique experience.
The living room and bedroom can be made totally private, but you have to cross the open air space in between.
The fittings and decor of the place is old, outdated, and damaged. Mostly functional though, but it spoils the experience somewhat. If only the hotel owners would spend a bit of money on bringing the room up to standard, this would be my favourite mid range priced room in Singapore
Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and are willing to assist (within their limits)
The area in which the hotel is located is somewhat dodgy with quite open ************ going on. Having said that, this is Singapore and it’s still safe.
In summary, if you are able to see through the issues mentioned and have a slightly exhibitionist streak then I certainly recommend this room for the unique outdoor experience at an afffordable price.
