Rak Elegant Hotel Patong in Patong

The hotel is quite new and modern, with a nice design. Rooms are spacious, the pool has a great city view, and the gym is very good. Breakfast is okay — a basic selection, nothing special.

I want to genuinely thank the bar/pool team and housekeeping. They were the best part of the stay: always polite, friendly, and helpful. Drinks were always available at the bar, cocktails were good and reasonably priced, and the room was cleaned very well every day. The housekeeping team was welcoming and happy to assist, and they truly created a relaxing holiday atmosphere.

Please be aware that there is a 1,000 THB fee for bringing a guest, which was not mentioned anywhere on Booking.com. This lack of transparency was disappointing. When I asked for the manager’s name, the reception staff were reluctant to provide it. The manager was also not very helpful and did not demonstrate a guest-friendly approach. After I raised a complaint, the attitude toward me changed noticeably and the previously friendly approach disappeared.

The location is also something to consider: the hotel is a bit far from both the beach and the city center. Considering the price and overall service level, you can likely find a better option in a more convenient location
