Grand Palazzo Hotel - SHA Extra Plus

1. No proper amenities. Even tissues and toilet paper were not replaced.
2. Pathetic room service. The bedsheets and towels were not changed even after placing the card for room service.
3. Unhygienic bathroom.
4. Unfriendly reception staff.
5. Clogged washbasin.
6. False 5-star hotel claim. Should be a 2-star hotel maximum.
7. Bath mat not replaced for 4 days.
8. Only 1 shower cap provided for 2 people. No toothbrush or toothpaste provided despite claiming to be a 5-star hotel. Coffee kettle appeared unclean. Paper scandals were not replaced.
9. Dust everywhere.
10. No remote control for the AC.
11. Poor bathroom design causing water leakage into the dressing area and toilet space.
12. Broken tile in the toilet.
13. Noisy government tourism development department events in the open area disturbed sleep and caused inconvenience to tourists.

Horrible service. We came in as 5, immediately got told we only booked for 4 and we were rudely explained that there are no exceptions, we have to pay for the extra person. They were rude because when we went to the receptionist to talk this over, they just handed us their terms and conditions paper and told us to read it.

Of course after this horrible gesture, we did not want to pay for the extra person, hence we complied and the extra person immediately packed his/her things and booked another hotel. Moments later, their security came in and checked every corner of our room and opened our luggage to check if we had complied which made us very uncomfortable because our privacy as guests are not valued at all. These efforts by the hotel security was useless because as I have said, WE COMPLIED WITH THEIR RULES, we did not even think and intend to breach any rules.

The food was also terrible. Other than the generic salad, eggs, sausage and ham, the main course they served were mostly Thai and Indian food. As a 5 star Thai hotel, the Thai food was disappointing, it did not look appetizing and not delicious at all. The Indian food was there but I did not consume that.

The room also had no noise cancellation, I got awaken multiple times due to night life music running near the hotel.

Overall 1/5 stay, our stay might increase a bit if the receptionist was polite and if the hotel valued our privacy. But maybe only up to 3.5/5. The facility was top though, I can be sure about this.

the hotel is old and the furniture is old. The most important thing there is no noise cancellation the windows are not soundproof we hear the music and noise from the street which start at the beginning of evening till 7:00AM also the receptionist gave as a wrong room and they want as to pay more to give as the room that we booked their is no direct elevator to the parking area The bed is not clean we feel itchiness while laying on it.AC is set in Auto mood which we can’t change it. The good thing is the location is near to big C and terminal 21.
