La Finca Hotel

Oh La Finca… I have so much to say about you. Let me start with the good things first:

PROS
+great view!! We got the room with the balcony and sea view and it was honestly so amazing. It was very nice to wake up to the view of the sea as well as the banana garden.

+beautiful and cozy hotel. I really liked the coziness of the hotel, and the variety of the plants/flowers and specially those around the pool.

+friendly staff in the restaurant and the bar. Most of the people that worked there would treat us with respect and a good manner. When I wasn’t feeling well (which we will get into further below) the person that worked at the restaurant offered to make me a mint lemon chai which made me feel a lot better.

+they had free shuttle buses to the beach 3 times a day which was great. I couldn’t go to the beach much because I was sick but it was still a useful service which should be taken into consideration.

+the location itself was great. It was only a 5 minutes drive to Alanya’s downtown.

CONS
-upon our arrival, we did not feel welcomed AT ALL!!! The receptionist (the middle-aged lady with blue/grey eyes) did not make us feel welcomed or even greeted us! She also could not speak English properly and I kept having to ask her questions to understand what’s going on. She would not make any effort to communicate with us. Also, the bathroom besides the reception area was very dirty and you could not even flush. The light was also not working so you had to use it in the complete dark. Really not a good impression upon our arrival… also, we felt like “outsiders” because the receptionist would speak Dutch, German, and Turkish to other guests and she would greet them with more respect.

-I got really sick after a couple of days and I was throwing up and having a diarrhea. I had read reviews prior to our visit that a lot of people also got sick there and unfortunately it happened to me as well. I could not eat their food anymore as it would make my stomach worse and honestly what a shame… I paid for an all inclusive hotel but ended up not eating their food… they should increase their food quality because it looks like it’s making people sick A LOT!!! (I’m still sick to this day even though a week has passed…)

-the bathroom was really not the greatest. The shower space was very small and the shower head would make an annoying squeaky sound. Also the toilet water was leaking and the floor was always wet which was very inconvenient.. the bathroom definitely needs renovation.

-there was a huge rain in Alanya for a whole day and there was not a single sitting area for when it was raining (other than the restaurant). We had to stay in our room the whole day, but it would have been nice if they had a nice sitting area for when people are cold or when it’s raining.

-I injured my toe on the first day when I was by the pool and my nail was bleeding really bad. Can you believe that there was no bandage????? No first aid kit?? Honestly unbelievable… I had to close the wound with napkins and when asked the receptionist for help, she said I will have to go to the city and purchase bandage myself… very disappointed

-it really would have been nice if they had at least one elevator in the property. Our room was on the highest level and it was very tiring to take those stairs every time. Also it’s not possible for people with disabilities to go there because there’s only stairs there!

-the staff only knew minimal English which was very inconvenient. I remember upon booking the hotel, it was mentioned that they would speak English but when we got there, no one could really speak English and I had to use google translate to communicate.

I would have gone to this hotel because of its beautiful nature and view if there were not so many red flags and specially because I got sick! I wish they would pay more attention to these reviews and take things into serious consideration. Their food quality needs immediate improvement as well as getting a first aid kit ASAP! Overall it was an okay stay, I just wish things were better…

Worst hotel I ever seen , not clean , poor services , dealing with people not good, hot roomes, I had just breakfast but was not good not delicious the menu doesn’t contain large and variety of plates, so services was so bad .

Worst experience ever they tried to steal our money and when I confronted him about it he started to get aggressive when I asked for the manager by name they lied and told me she quit but I could stil call her worst experience ever and you had to pay for everything even doe I had all including pass and had to what 5 hours in the reception to get my room I ran out of the hotel and saw others run out the hotel
