Kybele Hotel

We just stopped for brunch here. Great service. Menemen and eggs with Turkish sausage were delicious. Make sure you get the yogurt and pita to eat with everything. Comfy seats outside too. Very very nice. Would recommend.

We were guests of the kybele hotel in May 2024. We really enjoyed our stay, and when we return to Istanbul we will definitely stay there again. It is located in an area full of cute little shops and lively restaurants, close to all the tourist sites (Ayasofya, Sultanahmet Camii, Topkapı Sarayı, Yerebatan Sarnıcı)✨. The hotel can be easily reached by tram and also has a hammam in front, where you can regenerate. A lively, colorful place, full of wonderful objects and historical relics, which make it a fantastic hotel-museum. But above all, we were impressed by the friendliness and kindness of the staff. They are hospitable and altruistic people, who welcomed us with warmth, courtesy and professionalism, but not only that. They advised us, made us laugh, and even accompanied us to the post office to send postcards💌. A month later, the memory is still alive in our hearts❤️, and we are truly grateful for having met these wonderful people! Çok Teşekkür ederim arkadaşlar!

We just had our lunch here, didn’t stay. We took a table on the road (outdoor) and had 2 pasta and a kebab platter for lunch. It was enough for 4 of us.

Staffs were cordial and attentive. Food was good too.

We had such a great time staying here. The highlight was the lovely people who run it and work there. The location was so great. It was the perfect start to our trip in Türkiye. I definitely recommend staying here for a beautiful Turkish vibe with great service.

The Kybele Hotel is a very unique and eclectic hotel located in the heart of the Sultan Hammet district. The Hagia Sophia is a 5 minute walk.

I'd recommend staying on the top floor. The private balcony provided a view of the Hagia Sophia and surrounding sights. We had to move to a smaller room for our last night and it was very cramped and not nearly as nice as the top floor. Pay the extra for the fourth floor!

There are multiple restaurants in front of the Kybele. We had dinner at the Kybele restaurant on the first night. The food was ok but compared to other options nearby it was overpriced and just so so taste wise. I'd also skip the champagne. A bottle was $80 US and we found the same bottle up the street for $18 US.

Overall a great spot and we plan to return.

You HAVE to stay here!! Get a room on the top floor, they have balconies. The staff is amazing and entertaining. This is in a great area, everything is nearby, a short walking distance from the grand and spice bizarre. Note: if you want Champagne, buy it from a local bottle shop. At Kybele they charge $80 USD for a $20 bottle of Champagne, lol...my husband and I thought we were having Top Shelve Mimosas and we got finessed 🤣 This place is absolutely amazing though. We would totally stay again!!!

Pros: Great staff and service. The location is wonderful. You're within walking distance of Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, Grand Bazar, Basilica Cistern and many other Ottoman architecture. The price was very competitive. Breakfast was pretty good.

Cons: The bathroom was strangely designed. Good luck getting a towel if you're shorter than 5'8". Shower door was very finicky, it felt like you'd break it unless you're super careful when sliding it. The room wasn't the cleanest. I dropped something under the bed and I could tell that it wasn't cleaned underneath in months or even years. The mini fridge door would come off entirely if you tried to open it.

It wasn't really a bad experience but small things that can easily make it a 5 star rating. The staff were super helpful and friendly. That really makes up for a lot of issues there.
