Sultan Palace Hotel

Although I fully paid for a double room with seaview for 6 days, I was charged an extra US$100 by the unkempt lousy manager "to keep my seaview reservation" or he would move me to a "TV" room. Unprofessional, dishonest and unethical. Only gave me a temporary receipt when I insisted on getting a receipt for the extra charge. Unfortunately my reservation was non-cancellable. Avoid at all cost.

The bathroom is smelly. Lift gets struck up quite often & you have to press the buttons repeatedly to open the door. No provision of kettle in the room. The owner & staff uncooperative. All in all will never come back & stay at this hotel.

Worst hotel ever, they posted pretty nice pictures to deceive you into thinking you are getting a cheap hotel + breakfast, more on the breakfast, so keep reading. It was a cold winter in istanbul, the room had no heat, I went downstairs to complain, and the front desk guy threw another blanket at me and told me to go back to my room. An extra blanket was not helpful, I was shivering on the bed. Finally, morning came, I made up my mind to leave the hotel with two nights of my stay left, but I didn't care. I told myself before I leave, let me at least go enjoy the breakfast, I walk downstairs to the front desk guy, now it was a different guy, he was sitting there scrolling on his phone, asked him where the breakfast area was, he pointed left without even looking at me or taking his eyes off his smart phone, I was like alright I will figure it out myself, I found the breakfast place, I was the only person there, there was nothing laid out, I am used to hotels serving buffet style breakfast, I thought I missed breakfast, the lone lady sitting behind a desk gestured at me to sit at one of the tables, I sat down as told, she brought me two slices of white bread and two packets of butter, and a cup of tea, she said qoute " breakfast, eat" I was like oh well, fool me once. I drank the tea anyway, but two slices of white bread weren't very appetizing, so I left it untouched. I used their Wifi to book another hotel, and on the way to my other hotel, I got scammed by the taxi guy, 🚕.
