I recently stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional always friendly, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the hospitality truly made me feel at home. The facilities were well-maintained, and my room was clean and comfortable though it looked bigger in the pictures but quite small. The location was also convenient, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Great location, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The host was very friendly and had the best tasting coffee for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

The owners/runners of the hotel are very hospitable and kind. They made us Turkish coffee after we came back from exploring. They also assisted organizing us a taxi at 4am when we flew out.
We had the larger room (queen + 2 singles) and it was so comfortable.
Everything works, everything's very clean, multiple sets of towels, great WIFI.
The terrace is a beautiful spot to hang out.

Mr Ibrahim very helpful when we reached at night. Ms suna too cheerful .

Room was spacious overlooking the Marmara sea. Location was pretty close to blue mosque and Sultan Ahmet district. The best part was the host, Ms. Suna had been awesome and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here

We're from Malaysia, and visited Istanbul in Dec 2023. The room was a decent stay for a short period of time. Suna and Hassan are very hospitable. The breakfast prepared by Suna was fantastic as compared to the 4 star hotel. The sea view from the rooftop during our breakfast was splendid.

We had a very great and pleasant experience during our stay in the hotel..Ma’am and Mr Ibrahim sir took care of everything so nicely ..Helped us to navigate places around also which was of great help.. Highly recommend

A nice hotel, near the hagia Sophia and blue mosque. It's clean, close to the sultanahmet square and the staff is really friendly.

***Mold and Bed Bug Alert***
During our month-long honeymoon, we stayed at three hotels in Dubai and four hotels in Turkey (Antalya, Cappadocia, and Istanbul). Unfortunately, our experience at the Sur Hotel was nothing short of a disaster. We had chosen this hotel solely for its location.
Upon arrival, we noticed several concerning issues. The hotel's ceilings were covered in mold, which posed a significant health hazard. Additionally, cabinet doors were broken, and we encountered bed bugs in our room.
Since it was late at night when we checked in, changing hotels immediately wasn't possible. My wife started experiencing difficulty breathing and severe coughing during the night.
The following morning, I attempted to cancel our nine-night booking early due to the unacceptable conditions. However, the owner or manager refused any refunds and simply told us, "Take it or leave it with no refunds," adding, "Do whatever you guys want to do. I don't care."
We intend to contact the booking website and our credit card company for assistance, but we strongly advise others to steer clear of this hotel for the sake of their health and safety. It was undoubtedly the worst night of our honeymoon.
I'm not typically one to write reviews, as I'm an easy-going person, but this experience was beyond anything I could have imagined. If I could give a negative rating, it would be -100. Please, do not stay at this hotel.

Really bad service, construction outside our room all day all night . They never warned us about construction. Room is hot and AC doesn’t work sometimes. Bathroom pipes smell like death. Cleaning service doesn’t come you have to ask. Customer service doesn’t exist , demanding and rude receptionist. You have to beg for things to be done which are normally done because it’s normal but this hotel doesn’t think that way. Wouldn’t stay there ever again
