I was there for Solana Breakpoint. Nestled on Yas Island's vibrant waterfront, this hotel delivers prime access to Etihad Arena's electric events and the bustling Yas Bay Promenade, alive with diverse dining gems

As for the hotel itself, the rooms were spacious, spotless, and well organized. The pool area was clean and well maintained, with excellent service from the pool staff

A quick stroll lands you at Cafe del Mar, iconic for its Ibiza-style sunsets, infinity pool, and fresh Mediterranean bites—just cross the pool deck from your room

If you're visiting Abu Dhabi, especially Yas Island, I highly recommend staying at this Hilton and stopping by the bar to see Nahom. He’s a true star of the hotel and elevates the entire guest experience

A special mention goes to Nahom, the bartender—he truly made the stay unforgettable. His warm personality, professionalism, and incredible mixology skills added so much to the experience

One of my favorite hotels in Abu Dhabi for inexpensive but decent hospitality. The buffet breakfast is, in my view, top 5 in Abu Dhabi. An excellent salad station as well as the usual egg and bread dishes

When we were in the hotel, we spent most of our time on the Wet Deck (rooftop bar & pool on Floor 9) and the attentiveness, the friendliness and the professionalism meant we could not ask for more

I took a promotional upgrade to suite and it was a great deal. The staff arranged treats my child to make the experience memorable. The view from the room and balcony is amazing , overlooking the f1 race course

The breakfast was amazing spread , indian , continental,chinese etc. The options for kids are great. We also had a private beach entry , a well maintained and cozy space limited to guests only

The real highlight for me, however, was the spectacular view of the Formula 1 race track—watching cars zip by from the comfort of the balcony was something truly special, even during non-race events and practice sessions

Also a shout out to Saiful, one of the waiters at breakfast and the team in the W Lounge - Jo, Sanjan, Levie, Nan, Mimi, Martina, Daniel, Nikki, Jaimie and Dheeraj who also all went out of their way for us

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate during my holiday. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable experience

The bed was incredibly cozy, and the view from the window was delightful. The staff's service was exceptional, as they were friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any requests

We stayed here twice and both the time the service was excellent. Mr Waleed at front desk helped us check in with the best efficiency and he was very polite

We enjoyed our stay and would return but there were some issues. This is more of a family hotel. On the plus side the beach area and pools were lovely with great poolside bars with excellent food and waiting staff

However the water in the pools was too cold for it to be pleasant. We are all water lovers but none of us really went in. The Hemingway bar was good and open very late

Addressing Disparities in Service at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi I am writing to express my observations regarding the service at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, which I have frequented during my travels as an African professional in international sectors

On two separate occasions, I felt a marked reluctance from the porter to assist with parking my vehicle or to allocate a driver, a stark contrast to the prompt and proactive assistance offered to a European guest who arrived just before me

I asked for an iron and ironing board and it was brought right to my room. The gym was great and had a lot of useful equipment compared to other hotels. Thanks to Alice and Asad for being very helpful

Specifically, I've perceived a difference in how staff, including those of African descent, engage with and assist African guests compared to those of European backgrounds

Addressing these perceptions will not only enhance the guest experience for African professionals but also reinforce the hotel's commitment to inclusive hospitality

While my second visit offered a satisfactory experience, I've noted a concerning disparity in the level of service provided during my first and most recent stays

The hotel’s location is another big plus – right in the heart of Yas Island, making it very convenient to visit Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, and other attractions

The staff were very helpful in solving any issues, especially Mr. Mirza, who always does his best to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. A wonderful stay that I would definitely love to repeat again very soon

The Choices Restaurant is absolutely amazing — the buffet offers an impressive variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented

2 disadvantages of the hotel: it is big and long, if you get a room far from the elevator, there is a bit of a walk. The pool tries to cool the water but fails, so the water is warm (month of August)

What an exceptional member of staff Kalindu was who cleans the rooms. He was so helpful and had such lovely manner. Rooms were always super clean. Hotel staff were lovely and hotel was central

Drinking coffee (there is a coffee machine in the room), sitting on the veranda and watching the giraffes, this is real relaxation The bed is comfortable

The bathroom has shower accessories The children's pool with an artificial surface is very well thought out for children so that they do not slip. There is a small slide in the water. Towels are given at the entrance

My baby loved being in a room in front of the deer and gazelles. We also enjoyed cooling off at the pool during the hot afternoon before visiting the animals in the evening

Cons: Little information about where to eat, what hours and what is open (pool, zoo) There is no hair dryer in the room! This is a huge minus

We recently stayed at Staybridge Suites at Yas Island. We arrived at 3am after many hours travelling. We had some trouble with our taxi driver and the IHG staff did everything possible to fix the problem
