The hotel is an architectural masterpiece located in the heart of Yas island over the race track of Formula 1. The hotel consists of two buildings – the main building, located on the island part, and the wing Marina Tower, located over the water. Body are connected by a bridge.

Location: on Yas island (Yas Island), 160 km from the airport Dubai, in 10 km from the airport of Abu Dhabi, 15 km from the centre of Abu Dhabi.
Consists of two 8-x housings Marina Tower and Main Tower, made in the original form and connected by a bridge. The building is located so that the housing Marina Tower is over water and the Main Tower on the island part of the island. The hotel overlooks the harbour and part of the Formula 1 racing circuit "The Yas Marina Circuit".

Beach: public, sandy beach 1 km from the hotel (3 coastline). The entrance to the sea sand. Shuttle bus to the beach (beach Yas Beach entrance to the beach is free). Umbrellas, chairs, towels – free of charge. The beach is 600 m.

The location speaks for itself - if you’re a car lover and car noises are like the sound of music to you, you’ll love it!
The room was spacious with a great view of the track, and the cleaning was to a high standard.
But, what made it all the more special, was the service. When we were in the hotel, we spent most of our time on the Wet Deck (rooftop bar & pool on Floor 9) and the attentiveness, the friendliness and the professionalism meant we could not ask for more. A very special shout out to the Wet Deck Team: Roshan, Animesh, Eric, Chie, Joshua, Neeyas, Neha, Brandon & Otymane. An outstanding team, who went the extra mile to make our stay so wonderful. Also a shout out to Saiful, one of the waiters at breakfast and the team in the W Lounge - Jo, Sanjan, Levie, Nan, Mimi, Martina, Daniel, Nikki, Jaimie and Dheeraj who also all went out of their way for us.
W - you should be proud of your entire team. There were so many others we didn’t get names of. A huge thank you to you all. We’d highly recommend staying with you to all our family and friends.x
One minus as for me I hear the noise from racing tracks . I assume there is some training going on as we are pass F1.
Anyhow highly recommending this hotel especially if you plan to join the concert in Etihad arena .
The room itself was spacious, however our balcony view was obstructed, which was disappointing for the price point. Throughout the stay, I had to call Whenever/Whatever multiple times for very basic items, and either the delivery took forever or it was completely forgotten. I had to request a simple dental kit three separate times before receiving it.
Breakfast was also not the experience I anticipated for a hotel of this level guests were coming in wearing hotel room slippers, which felt out of place.
As a Gold member, I received an email before check-in asking whether I wanted chocolate, red velvet cake, or a fruit platter as a welcome amenity. I requested the fruit platter, but was given chocolate instead (which I couldn’t even eat). When I called to correct it, I was told they can only send an amenity “one time,” even though I wasn’t asking for anything additional just the item I had originally selected.
Overall, the service and attention to detail didn’t match the luxury branding of the hotel, and I left feeling quite disappointed.
The breakfast was amazing spread , indian , continental,chinese etc. The options for kids are great.
We also had a private beach entry , a well maintained and cozy space limited to guests only.
All in all a great place to stay if you are visiting Yas island for theme parks. The hotel provides a very convenient shuttle service every 15 mins to various theme parks and malls nearby.

What truly impressed me was how thoughtful they were when it came to my pet cat — we came back to find the room fully set up with everything he needed without even asking. There was a cat tree, litter box, a cozy bed, cat food, and even food bowls ready for him. I really appreciated this level of care and attention to detail. It made the stay feel even more special. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was exceptional—easily one of the best I’ve had at any hotel. There was a wide variety of options, from freshly baked pastries to international dishes, healthy choices, and a fantastic live cooking station. It was a great way to start each day.
The rooms were stylish, clean, and very comfortable, though they are starting to show some signs of wear and tear in certain areas. It’s nothing major, but a few corners could use some refreshing to match the otherwise upscale vibe of the hotel.
If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the service, which at times felt a bit inconsistent. While most staff were friendly, there were moments when requests took longer than expected or felt less attentive than you'd hope from a five-star property.
All in all, W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is a fantastic choice—especially for motorsport fans or anyone looking for a bold and luxurious stay in Abu Dhabi. I’d gladly return!
