Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi

I was so disappointed to see how this hotel has downgraded! We went to the pool, it is not clean. The kids pool is BROWN, it looks like kids peed in it and no one ever cleaned it! There is also a very intense smell coming out from the kitchen into the Pool area! It smells reaaaally bad. We couldn’t handle it and we left from the pool. There is also a very bad smell in the lobby when we were waiting for our car. It smelled like the products they use to clean the floor are NOT clean.

I must say, I've had some pretty great experiences here...until recently.

So, here's the deal. This was my 3rd visit I think in the past 4 weeks, and boy, oh boy, the reception staff here have absolutely no manners. I’m only referring at the evening reception staff. And don't even get me started on the night shift manager who seems to have zero power. I come back after a long, exhausting day at work, only to find that my key isn't working. Now, at a classy place like Marriott, you usually get a polite apology and a quick fix. But here? Nope. I had to wait in a queue for over 10 minutes just to validate a key. Like, seriously? That's not acceptable, my friend. I even asked if there was another staff member available to help, but they completely ignored me. And when the staff member finally became available, they couldn't care less about the people waiting and just threw me a half-hearted "Can I help you?" Well, I asked for a manager, and guess who shows up? Yep, the same Indian lady I met before. And let me tell you, she was as slow as a snail in solving an issue during my last visit too. I told her to get someone to fix the key situation and teach the staff some manners, but she didn't seem impressed at all.
Marriott Al Forsan, I'm begging you not to go down this road. This place was fantastic just a month ago. Please, replace those guys at the reception with some competent ladies. Both of them struggled to help customers, and it's clear that no one on the evening shift knows what they're doing. And to the management, please consider replacing or retraining the night shift manager. She has zero skills to solve anything, and she should be at the front, dealing with customers and issues that arise, instead of showing up only when someone requests her. It's this kind of carelessness and incompetence that will make loyal customers like myself never come back. Such a shame, really. I won't be returning, and sadly, I can't recommend this place anymore until some serious changes are made. Such a great shame indeed.
