Cozy hotel located on the beach. Good food, friendly staff and great SPA centre with a wide range of procedures. One of the few hotels in Sunny Beach, which has free parasols and sun loungers on the beach. A high level of service for which the hotel was several times awarded the prestigious international award Golden Medal by Thomson Holidays and the TUI Holly.

1st time in Sunny Beach. Selected this hotel because of previous reviews and we were not disappointed. Half board. Great selection for both breakfast and dinner. Room was immaculate. View from balcony is exactly as pictured on hotel site. No outside noise at night. Pool was usually quiet and no music ( if thats what you like) and had a gentleman who was a lifeguard also. Gave great comfort as we have a 10year old. Space between sunbeds and pool towel provided. Never had a problem getting sunbed irrespect of the time of day. Free beds on the beach. we spent most of our time at the pool. A special mention to the animation team of Tsetso, Tsanko, Dima, Rona, Sonya & Delisiya....they did an amazing job. My son was reluctant to go to the kids club the first day, however, after meeting Delisiya, he requested that we were back in time to go to the club as he didn't want to miss it... Overall, we all loved it so much we have booked for this year again, The first time we have stayed and travelled to the same place twice!!

Second time to stay at this hotel. This is a first rate hotel at the quiet end of the resort. Facilities are excellent as is the food. Probably the rooms could do with updating. The best thing about the hotel is the access to the beach five steps from the entrance and superb quality. Sun beds for the hotel are free. You can stroll into the more busy part of the resort easily with plenty of food and drink premises. Drink is very cheap in the resort. Go to Nessebar during you stay about twenty five minutes by bus and only 3 lev. In all a very good holiday with guanteed hot weather right into mid late September.

Spent 7 nights tail end of September into October with a small group of friends. Place wasn’t too busy and we enjoyed every aspect of this hotel - from the spacious and clean bedrooms, the wide and sparkling clean corridors, the sculptures/art virtually everywhere, great food options, the private beach etc. Perhaps one thing that stood out for me was the extra touch we received the night we arrived. We got to the hotel long after dinner but the hotel had setup tables for us to have a seat down sandwich meal from assorted cold meats, cheese, salads, bread etc … topped up with a cuppa … a very pleasant surprise that set the tone of our stay. A hotel worth all it’s five 🌟

Very clean hotel with staff on reception and cleaning duties polite and helpful. Hotel situated at quieter end of resort which suited us as a couple although as this was near to end of season lacked a bit of atmosphere no real holiday buzz. We stayed bed and breakfast only, plenty of choice both hot and cold dishes although hot stuff could have been warmer. Hotel rooms big with plenty of space and nice balcony, shower was very powerful which was great what was not as great it was over a deep bath which was a bit tricky getting in and out Good outdoor pool but quite cold, plenty of sunbeds but did not use beach facility associated with hotel. Not really impressed with the restaurants in Sunny Beach area but did find a couple in nearby Nessbar which were good, Nessbar old town well worth visiting always take the local bus for 2 lev Overall a fairly satisfied stay with prices for food and drink very good but would we comeback, probably not

This is a real gem of a hotel, staff are all very helpful, and the hotel is spotlessly clean, breakfast was excellent,with loads of fresh fruit, beautiful pastries, or freshly cooked eggs, could not fault it. Our only problem with Bulgaria was eating out, most of the places to eat locally, were all either burgers, steaks or pizzas, we had 4 dinners in the hotel fish restaurant, which were excellent, and we had the buffet dinner in the hotel one evening,,, which had a great choice of dishes, I will definitely be back, but I will book half board next time. The pool area had enough sun beds, as did the lovely clean beach, I would recommend this hotel 100%,,,,

I recommend the hotel, the rooms are large and clean, the food is fresh, diverse and very tasty, the yard is large and it has a lot of plants and trees. The only thing the bothered me were two waiters at the a la carte restaurant who were really rude. I would only suggest to install a small playground (some swings, a slide etc) which would be helpful for parents to keep children busy.

Aged and worn out. Definitely not a 5 star. That's probably the best description I can provide. They don't let you reserve without their "all inclusive" option, and the food is not great. Plus it is always the same, except for the main protein and a couple of the sides. Lunch restaurant has terrible service, with no one in charge of seating or cleaning tables. Wi-Fi is HORRIBLE and their IT support is via phone only (must have - an adapter for connect network cables to your computers). They have a small sliver of chairs on the beach that are "included for free", but most of the chairs you have to pay a lot for, and a really big amount for the beds. No service at the chairs, unless you buy a bed.
If you are looking at this place, my suggestion is to go north to Varna. This place is a couple of steps below Atlantic City / old Miami. Think of it as a Holiday Inn or a Residence Inn. Pictures don't tell the true story. It's a 3 star for Western European or US customers (at best)

Helena Sands is the best hotel I've ever stayed in and believe me, that's many. The location is superb and the seaview rooms are fantastic. The spa is incredible and I've always enjoyed my stays. And don't forget - the food is like a 5 star Michelin restaurant. If you're wondering where to stay in Sunny Beach - this is the place for you.

me and my wife had a week at this hotel in june what can i say it was excellent check in was very good every one of the staff was brill clean all through the hotel and grounds we went h/b not a problem with the food just some times it was not as hot as i like it but plenty to go at. rooms very clean bed was very comfortable and the maids where excellent the bathroom was clean but the shower was over the bath and the bath was very deep so trying to get in and out was a struggle. Sunny beach its self is a brill resort its got every thing you need for a top holiday plenty of bars and restaurants at good prices the weather in june was around 28 degree rain once during the day with a good thunder storm to watch we had 7 nights but going next year for 14 nights wont be staying at helena sands not that there is anything with the hotel far from it just we like trying other places.

Absolute rubbish service from many of the hotel staff! The hotel looks nice, but when the staff makes you feel unwelcome it ruins your holiday. Trying to talk to staff, they just walk by you like you dont exist. The towel/pool guy was the absolute worst, shouting at customer, waving his arms and rotating his eyes to the back of his skull. At the restaurant the staff, a whole bunch of them, walk by you like you are a ghost! Every table was reserved there the entire week, no chance of ever getting any food there. I have never felt this unwanted at any hotel in any country anywhere. Will never return to this place.
