Cozy hotel located on the beach. Good food, friendly staff and great SPA centre with a wide range of procedures. One of the few hotels in Sunny Beach, which has free parasols and sun loungers on the beach. A high level of service for which the hotel was several times awarded the prestigious international award Golden Medal by Thomson Holidays and the TUI Holly.

I recommend the hotel, the rooms are large and clean, the food is fresh, diverse and very tasty, the yard is large and it has a lot of plants and trees. The only thing the bothered me were two waiters at the a la carte restaurant who were really rude. I would only suggest to install a small playground (some swings, a slide etc) which would be helpful for parents to keep children busy.

Aged and worn out. Definitely not a 5 star. That's probably the best description I can provide. They don't let you reserve without their "all inclusive" option, and the food is not great. Plus it is always the same, except for the main protein and a couple of the sides. Lunch restaurant has terrible service, with no one in charge of seating or cleaning tables. Wi-Fi is HORRIBLE and their IT support is via phone only (must have - an adapter for connect network cables to your computers). They have a small sliver of chairs on the beach that are "included for free", but most of the chairs you have to pay a lot for, and a really big amount for the beds. No service at the chairs, unless you buy a bed.
If you are looking at this place, my suggestion is to go north to Varna. This place is a couple of steps below Atlantic City / old Miami. Think of it as a Holiday Inn or a Residence Inn. Pictures don't tell the true story. It's a 3 star for Western European or US customers (at best)

Helena Sands is the best hotel I've ever stayed in and believe me, that's many. The location is superb and the seaview rooms are fantastic. The spa is incredible and I've always enjoyed my stays. And don't forget - the food is like a 5 star Michelin restaurant. If you're wondering where to stay in Sunny Beach - this is the place for you.

Absolute rubbish service from many of the hotel staff! The hotel looks nice, but when the staff makes you feel unwelcome it ruins your holiday. Trying to talk to staff, they just walk by you like you dont exist. The towel/pool guy was the absolute worst, shouting at customer, waving his arms and rotating his eyes to the back of his skull. At the restaurant the staff, a whole bunch of them, walk by you like you are a ghost! Every table was reserved there the entire week, no chance of ever getting any food there. I have never felt this unwanted at any hotel in any country anywhere. Will never return to this place.

I recently completed a 5-day mini-vacation at the Helena Sands Hotel. Upon arriving home and unpacking, I discovered that two pairs of shoes were missing. Both pairs were in a bag that remained packed throughout my stay.
It appears someone intentionally took them, likely because they were new. This incident is troubling, especially in a hotel with a 5-star reputation. Because it is a 5-star hotel, cleaning is done every day, meaning that at least two strangers enter your room daily. Additionally, they check the minibar and, apparently, your luggage as well. So, be careful if you decide to stay there; check your belongings before you leave.
During my stay, I also incurred extra charges for amenities that should be included in a 5-star experience (e.g., water at dinner, deckchair, drinks on the beach). I don't recommend the hotel for family vacations with small children, as there is almost nothing for them. The small pools dedicated to them have a single slide that was nonfunctional. Also, the pavement around the main pool was very slippery. An old man fell, and I saw nobody from the staff show concern or take any action.

The staff makes all the difference. I was pleased with them. They are very attentive and are alaways ready to help.
The food and locations are great. The only thing that could use an upgrade is the rooms. They are starting to show their age.
Overall, this is an amazing place and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in the area.

Arrived back home from here today 29/8/23 after spending a fantastic week.The hotel is absolutely perfect,away from the noise and hustle and bustle of flower street.The staff are amazing and couldn't do enough for you.The rooms are clean and tidy and kept that way every day by the great cleaners.The food is 5*****!! If I was to go to this area again then I wouldn't hesitate to book Helena sands hotel.The hotel it situated literally a couple of steps from the beach.Thankyou for a grrrrreat stay 👍🤟👌🖐❤️

It is an ideally located hotel, at the beach, with a nice design. What amazed me the most and made me have an excellent time is the good quality of staff. From the room maids to the manager,, who by the way it is present all day long around the reception, all people are very dedicated and this reflects in all services. It is well maintained, very clean as the room cleaning is done daily, good beds and excellent choice of food. The only aspect that can be a bother is the beach seating. Maybe it should be better managed by rotating the sunbeds allocation so at least once in 7 days you have a seat by the sea. For me it was not a problem as I wake up at 6 and by 6:15 you can still get places in the second row to the sea, but people coming at 9am might in some days not get a seat at all. However further along towards Sveti Vlas is a nice beach with wooden furniture and blue matresses that costs 30leva/day for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella.
