Novum Hotel Aldea Berlin Centrum

185€/night for 1 day stay in this room is an overkill. 5star rates with no amenities. Stained carpets, rooms not sound proof. Housekeeping doesn't bother to refill shower gel. Bathroom was smaller than my closet. Reception lady wasn't friendly either. Poor experience

We stayed in hotel aldea for 4 nights this August. Upon arrival the bald receptionist with glasses greated us in the most rude and disrespectful manner I've ever come across whilst checking in anywhere. When signing out our form I was not handed a pen it was flung on the desk for me to pick up. He also had no interest in telling us what direction the elevators were in, anything about the internet access or breakfast details. We were told '215' for our room number and that was all. My two friends I travelled with also went down to ask the reception if they could fill their water bottles up, instead of simply answering the question (as Irish tap water is not always drinkable) they gave my friends a dirty look and did not help them. No air conditioning in the rooms, the internet is awful and disconnects every 5 minutes. You're probably better off going anywhere else if you're expecting to be treated with some respect after spending money on your trip to Berlin!
