Hotels on first line in Punta Cana

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The Food was surprisingly good. I will say go to dinner early because after 6pm the lines grow fast. Event staff was very friendly and inviting

The hotel is of a very good standard. But swimming in the sea is problematic, all the time there is a wave

I enjoyed myself at the resort. The food was better than I've had in DR before. This property is simply too big. There are trolleys, but they don't come frequently enough or were full

There is always something to do with many events and activities occurring throughout the day and also plenty of places to relax. The beach was beautiful and blue

If you want to have a great time, spend your days at the guitar pool and ask for Hector as your bartender. Amazing service and even better drinks!

My room was a 30-minute walk from the beach. I got in around 10k steps each day. That's not what I want on a relaxing vacation

Super nice resort, regarding some of the drama reviews it's what you make of it. The food is so-so, you can't beat the location as the beach is spectacular. The rooms are nice, staff is great

The Michael Jackson show was a highlight & being able to be on the beach day or night was amazing! Cons: The building with #1200's had several issues with water leaking unfortunately

Stay with the buffet to avoid the wait in the other restaurants. Avoid the free shuttle from the airport, you will loose an hour of vacation time

Some were being looked into/dealt with. Another Big con is there is not a private shower area. The shower is only half enclosed in glass & opens up into the main area of the room

These are hard working men and women who deserved to be recognized! Also the front desk service people did their best to be helpful when needed

On a Great Note: The service we received at each restaurant & buffet was wonderful

The rooms are huge, with private pools and patios. The views, architecture, and grounds are pristine. And to be fair, we had a great time

There are oddities in this hotel: the car cleans the seaweed on the beach, mixes it with the sand, so it is the dirtiest on the beach line. Old sun loungers need to be changed

We were amazed at how well maintained the grounds are. The staff are nice and helpful. You need to download the Melia app to know what activities are happening around the resort. There's a lot of fresh seafood as well

We should have just stuck with Sandals or Beaches

This hotel is for those who have decided to rest their souls, it is quiet, calm, the service is of the highest class !!! It's like a park, there are live flamingos! The rooms are gorgeous !!!

From the time I got to the hotel to the time I left I felt welcomed and appreciated. Pool bar/Pool is great love the bartenders there. The beach is fabulous and they have people that will bring you drinks

It was great to be able to walk straight to the beach from my room and there is a shuttle bus to go to the other end of the resort that comes every few minutes. I cannot wait to come back next again!

The resort is amazing! The beach was amazing g. I loved the variety of restaurants available. Cindy and Adrian were wonderful at helping us. I will be definitely coming back for another visit

There are amazing beach views from the rooftop bar and Rumba restaurant. There are multiple restaurants and so much variety to choose from for each meal

Alexander Perez in guest services was exceptional in helping me make reservations for all the things I wanted to do while I was in Punta Cana! The resort is absolutely beautiful with so many plants and every aspect of the resort is picturesque! The rooms were very clean and well maintained

The only downside to this place may be, the gift shop can be expensive especially for sunscreen, there are vendors that try and sell you things on the beach, a simple no thank you works

A few misses at the buffet but good overall. Cool restaurants and and touristy shops. Really big and spacious pools

Highly worth the upgrade for the private beach, exclusive restaurants with advance reservations and coffee bar. The resort has its pluses and minuses, but the customer service was outstanding along the way

This hotel is by far one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. Everything is just perfect and screams luxury. The stuff is friendly and helpful

Animals walking around the territory will boost your mood each time you pass by them. The beach is just breathtaking! Clean, well kept and beautiful. Food is very delicious, as well as the drinks

The beach… is the cream and butter, absolutely beautiful, we would get there at 7-8am and they would be cleaning the sand and the sargasm off the beach bright and early

We argued with her for half an hour, trying to tell her that we were not leaving until she cancelled it. She finally told us to come back at 1:00 and she would be able to help us then, we would have her full attention

They pushed us off, first telling us that no one was there yet to help us, to come back around 9:30. When we arrived at 9:30, we did meet briefly with the woman who walked us through signing the contract

At 1:20, she finally showed up to They told us that under the Arizona law that the contract is under, there is no law stating that there is a timeline in which we can cancel

She did draw up a letter stating that we wanted to cancel and had us sign it, and she signed it as well. She sated that we would not be getting a refund

And even with the letter stating that we wanted to cancel, a decision would not be made for 15 days!!!! Now, the resort itself was very enjoyable. Lots of activities, lovely staff, great beach, pools, bars

The food at the buffet is incredibly good and the service is amazing, not so much for the restaurants there that aren't operated by the same company

I would prefer a more lively pool area with music and more activity options, rather than the entire resort taking an ‘anti-music’ approach in both the beach and pool areas

The rooms were beautiful and the beach is right there with wonderful seating and a bar close by

The grounds are amazing!! Beautifully kept up to 5 star standards. The rooms a little dated, yet still very nice. Worth every penny to upgrade to beach rooms. Our family of 8 loved every minute

It may have been due to the offseason, but the overall level of service fell far below what I’m used to at other resorts. I will not return and recommend keep looking

This was our honeymoon and we were here for 11 nights! This place is absolutely AMAZING! Ana Munoz at the Jigger bar was the BEST, she was very personal and very hard working! All of the workers were so amazing, Jenfry was our concierge and it was so kind and friendly, helped us with all! Claudia Rodriguez did a great job whipping up drinks for everyone and being so kind! :) 10/10 recommend

Additionally, the concept of a ‘silent pool’ feels impractical, given the noise from the nearby pool bar and party boats

I stayed in this hotel back in 2017. The pool is amazing and they keep you entertained with fun activities during the day. The buffet is great and we specially enjoyed the restaurants we could book for no extra cost

Resort was fun! They had foam parties, large pools, servers and bartenders were great! I enjoyed the a la carte restaurants a lot, the buffet was okay! I did get food poisoning pretty badly for two days - I think from the burger/wing shack

There are people selling stuff in the beach which affects your calm and enjoyment. Front desk could improve as we payed for a service that was not provided. Fortunately this was resolved

Amazing staff so kind and ready to help in whichever way. The food and drinks were awesome ! The entertainment was spectacular. Went on a trip with friends and we had such a wonderful time and will be going back soon!!!!

This resort had the best customer service I have ever experienced. We arrived and the door man escorted us to the desk to check in. They offered us refreshments while we waited. The staff is so friendly and helpful

The animation is very good, prizes are given for participating in competitions. Friendly, funny and kind animators, I especially liked Keila. Night show is worthy and interesting

Wendy the waiter came over and ask us what we would like to eat. I told him that I would like the shrimp bisque, shrimp cocktail and I was told that they were out of shrimp cocktail, I continue with my order and he left

After having a body massage at the spa we spent all morning and early afternoon by the jacuzzi. We decided to have lunch a little after 2:00pm. We walked in the restaurant and we noticed no one greeted us by the door

After 48 hours of being here at the royal club, things are not quite looking good. We are royal club members of nearly 18 years. Today was an experience that I would never forget

We have a great time at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Sheila, our housekeeper, was very sweet, kind and very hard worker. She keep the room clean, tidy and stock up everyday

The resort was not too busy in September which was nice because we always found a spot on the beach, by the pool, water park and best of all they always had towels

The bar man (with the lips tattoo on his neck) at the beach bar is fantastic Tobias and La vanilla on the entertainment team are great, they are really friendly and welcoming and try to get people involved in activities, The location is stunning, right by the beach, and they try really hard to keep it clean and tidy

Very accessible, pool is lovely and great temperature. Room is spacious and the whole resort is clean. Beautiful beach and friendly staff. The animation team are brilliant

The hotel is good! the main attraction is the pool which is huge! The food is good, but needs to improve the varieties. The show was awesome! Overall 4/5 taking in account the price. Enjoy Punta Cana!

We had a great stay here at the Barcelo Occidental Caribe. The rooms were clean, we were able to get into all of the restaurant which was a great experience

The games were fun, and Valentin put on a good show for the group, with an appreciated variety of languages for the multi-lingual crowd. Looking forward to visiting again when the cold weather hits next year

You can get around well with the shuttles. The main restaurant choice is not bad at all. The beach is pretty but a lot of waves and watch out for touts on the beach

The massage was very good but they are very expensive. 110$, 50min 99$ (actual there is an offer for 75$). I booked the 50min but the massage was actual only 40min. That‘s the Reading whu they lost 2stars

Big negative point the isolation of the hotel which made it impossible to really go for a walk in contact with the Dominicans etc. We had to take excursions to the hotel which were very expensive

It was my first trip on the road. If it was in do it again I wouldn't go to Punta Cana

When asked they usually say “it was moved to tomorrow” but if that’s the worst thing about this place pff We went to the spa and it was lovely make sure you try the hydrotherapy it’s pretty different and great experience

The Steakhouse was really good and again great service. The Mexican was a little bland and lacked in service. The cocktails around the pool were first class and the entertainment was really enjoyable

Housekeeping were excellent and left our room smelling lovely and fresh. The pool areas are great and there are always plenty of sun loungers available

Hot coffee pulled me onto the dance floor to teach me how to dance several times this week and help me face my fear of dancing. He was so kind and such a great staff to have around

Food is good, hotel is clean, a little old but in good shape. My wife and believe if you are of a darker shade you wont get the same treatment as If you had blue eyes
