We had a wonderful time during our stay. The Food was surprisingly good. I will say go to dinner early because after 6pm the lines grow fast. Event staff was very friendly and inviting

Just stayed here in a suite for the past week and had an amazing time. The food, drinks, and service were all wonderful and the property was beautiful

They have free kayaks and paddle boats. They have water activities at reasonable prices. But the bikini contest at the pool with the host Juan was amazing

We booked through Costco and really enjoyed our stay. The beach is really close to the rooms and so is the food. For such a large resort room service is timely. The whole resort is well kept

Every morning seaweed is removed from the beach. The staff is hardworking and professional. I stayed on the family side and visited the adult only side and there is more on the family side

Like paradise! Room services are very good. I love the train which is really helpful when you are tired. They will give you ride around the resort. Sometimes was great sometimes wasn’t

Alexander Perez in guest services was exceptional in helping me make reservations for all the things I wanted to do while I was in Punta Cana! The resort is absolutely beautiful with so many plants and every aspect of the resort is picturesque! The rooms were very clean and well maintained

WILLIAM and JUAN give the BEST SERVICE! of all the resorts on the island i have been coming here for years and have stayed at most of them! They are quick, attentive, always have a smile on their face! If they were not working i rather not drink! they are major assets to this company! I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THEM! The staff were awesome, especially Adrian and Cindy. Accommodations were beautiful. The restaurants were great and the atmosphere was relaxing. We are definitely coming back soon, maybe every anniversary

It was great to be able to walk straight to the beach from my room and there is a shuttle bus to go to the other end of the resort that comes every few minutes. I cannot wait to come back next again!

The resort is amazing! The beach was amazing g. I loved the variety of restaurants available. Cindy and Adrian were wonderful at helping us. I will be definitely coming back for another visit

On our last day she made a special towel deco for the kids. Pedro at Expedia counter desk was always friendly and kind. He was so helpful that he upgraded our rooms to family suites for privacy and extra space

The resort was not too busy in September which was nice because we always found a spot on the beach, by the pool, water park and best of all they always had towels

I would prefer a more lively pool area with music and more activity options, rather than the entire resort taking an ‘anti-music’ approach in both the beach and pool areas

This was our honeymoon and we were here for 11 nights! This place is absolutely AMAZING! Ana Munoz at the Jigger bar was the BEST, she was very personal and very hard working! All of the workers were so amazing, Jenfry was our concierge and it was so kind and friendly, helped us with all! Claudia Rodriguez did a great job whipping up drinks for everyone and being so kind! :) 10/10 recommend

Don’t do levelZ because you will waste your money on nothing. Adults only is worth it! Is located it everything, and you get great service. The breakfast is amazing and you’re located to restaurants too! And it’s cheaper

Wander, Rooftop staff and Juan were amazing, providing excellent service as bartenders and servers. Beautiful landscaping and view on roof top is nice. However, Edwin did not make us feel welcome or valued

We had a great stay here at the Barcelo Occidental Caribe. The rooms were clean, we were able to get into all of the restaurant which was a great experience

The games were fun, and Valentin put on a good show for the group, with an appreciated variety of languages for the multi-lingual crowd. Looking forward to visiting again when the cold weather hits next year

This was a great experience! The resort itself was gorgeous, with great restaurants (French and Italian were our favourite), the buffet was great- there was always something we found to eat

We argued with her for half an hour, trying to tell her that we were not leaving until she cancelled it. She finally told us to come back at 1:00 and she would be able to help us then, we would have her full attention

They pushed us off, first telling us that no one was there yet to help us, to come back around 9:30. When we arrived at 9:30, we did meet briefly with the woman who walked us through signing the contract

At 1:20, she finally showed up to They told us that under the Arizona law that the contract is under, there is no law stating that there is a timeline in which we can cancel

She did draw up a letter stating that we wanted to cancel and had us sign it, and she signed it as well. She sated that we would not be getting a refund

And even with the letter stating that we wanted to cancel, a decision would not be made for 15 days!!!! Now, the resort itself was very enjoyable. Lots of activities, lovely staff, great beach, pools, bars

The food at the buffet is incredibly good and the service is amazing, not so much for the restaurants there that aren't operated by the same company

I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't regret it. We loved our vacation here! Everything was wonderful. The staff are so nice and friendly

Gorgeous facility, amazing service from Alexander The Great, amazing service from Esteban, but that front desk really made for some frustrating times when you’re shelling out that much money for vacation

The resort itself is gorgeous and has everything you need right there in one spot. The biggest downfall here is the front desk. They would never answer the phone when you would call down to the desk

This place had excellent service, the girls were very attentive and an excellent massage.... I recommend the girl named Ana 😃

The massage was very good but they are very expensive. 110$, 50min 99$ (actual there is an offer for 75$). I booked the 50min but the massage was actual only 40min. That‘s the Reading whu they lost 2stars

Big negative point the isolation of the hotel which made it impossible to really go for a walk in contact with the Dominicans etc. We had to take excursions to the hotel which were very expensive

You can get around well with the shuttles. The main restaurant choice is not bad at all. The beach is pretty but a lot of waves and watch out for touts on the beach

It was my first trip on the road. If it was in do it again I wouldn't go to Punta Cana

Food is better quality compared to other resorts, but the entertainment here is the best! I went down to the pool area and the guy there named Ruddy is awesome and very friendly! He was very entertaining, and I also had the pleasure of seeing him perform on the nightly shows

We had a great time, had a room with the swim up pool, the bartender was amazing! Cristina of the team of animation was fantastic! Definitely will be going back! This was a trip to remember, my butler was incredible and arranged everything we needed

I would give this resort 4 star! The food in the restaurants wasn’t really good! The buffet had a lot of variety! And you could find some good stuff in there! The breakfast is amazing in the buffet! They only do breakfast and dinner! Lunch is only served at the Italian restaurant that they have! The appetizers are pretty good but the main dish eh! The hotel room they gave us 0034! I would say it was...

The beach is beautiful and we did not have trouble finding beach chairs, though overall the resort was much more crowded than we expected (including the swim up bar). It can be difficult to get drinks on the beach

Avoid the La Bodega restaurant. All in all, it was a really wonderful vacation. The property is beautiful and you can’t beat the location on the beach

I recommend doing the free kayaking that the resort offers it was amazing to kayak on the ocean

The rooms are very nice and big, and the minibar and housekeeping staff are attentive and come every day. Joel in reception was the most helpful

The beach area was nice with the palm trees, but there was tons of seaweed washed a shore for days and no one cleaned it. The water had lots of seaweed as well. All in all a nice place, but most likely not going back

Fabulous experience! The beach is beautiful! The rooms were spacious and the entire property is very clean! The staff was attentive and super friendly! The pools were refreshing! Note-the swim up bar had kids in it

and while there was a bar, there were no bartenders (there were on the walk up side. but servers come right to the pool, too)

However, the reason my rating is not 5 stars is because my family and I contracted a stomach virus due to the consumption of contaminated food/water

The best advice I can give is DO NOT drink the water the waiters/waitresses serve you unless it is from a bottle (this applies to ice as well)

I have no complaints, the people that serve are as usual, cordial, kind and ready to serve us. The Dominican Republic is one of my favorite nations to visit, because of the reasons I mentioned.

Our initial room had some minor issues and the staff immediately fixed the problem. Other than that, the service was stellar, food absolutely amazing, and the most beautiful beach
