Hygiene: OK
Environment: The interior of the hotel is OK, but the exterior is really hard to describe

Joe, bartender in Lounge was amazing and helped me so much by speaking English and even bringing me room service with a warm smile. Dining room on rooftop was ok and the ambience of the hotel felt very 1920's Egypt.
Would go again and get room facing Giza pyramids, so magical.
It is an old hotel, however it is well kept and clean.
Room is clean and serviced daily.
We spend sometime around the pool and enjoyed some drinks. They no longer serve Shisha.
We ate breakfast at the hotel daily- well presented, continental breakfast, good.
We did not eat at the restaurant, just enjoyed the rooftop view.
Consider location as traffic from Cairo is a nightmare and Uber drivers were not always keen to take us back in the late evening as it was a 45mintue drive from Cairo downtown.
