Where to stay with kids in Ixia

The sea bed becomes sandy when you swim out a way and even further out, it becomes more interesting with rocks below which makes for some good snorkelling (big crabs, eels and all sorts of fish) Main restaurant was very busy and food generally of average quality and often luke warm For us, the resort was a happy compromise because it suited our 7 and 10 year old kids and gave my wife and I some late...

We had a great short stay at Blue Bay in October. We booked a family room which had a view of the waterpark and balcony to relax on in the evening

I dread to think what it would be like in peak season! On the plus side, there are several swimming pools on the resort, a couple of which were on the outer perimeter and more tranquil

The resort is right on the beach, so you can opt for either the pools or the sea

The drinks were OK, cocktails could have been tastie, but they were definitely not weak! And the beachside pizza was so tasty. Recommend getting the bus into the old town for €8 per person return and exploring

The room was comfortable but dates and the bathroom could have bee cleaner. Every member of staff were friendly and polite. The food options were varied however did get repetitive after a few nights

Great place, energetic entertainment team although the current show we are watching maybe in the twilight zone. Lovely pool with plenty of padded loungers and a good food selection on an evening

My first vacation with my family wasn't that great. We arrived after 1:00 AM, checked in, and went up to our room. We entered the room and I immediately went to the bathroom to check everything

Has everything you need nice and close. (Kids pool, kids club within sight of main pools, beach). The food was incredible! Nice touch being greeted to the restaurant without fail

I expected more fish, but that wasn't the case. The children's area was truly lacking; the swing was about to come apart. For a 4-star hotel, they still need to work hard on cleanliness, friendliness, and food

One important issue is the lack of supervision at the pool — unfortunately, some guests ignored the rules, jumping dangerously into the water near small children and rinsing sandy feet directly in the pool

Areas for Improvement: While the facilities were generally good, we did notice that the pool area could use more frequent cleaning, especially during busy times

It gave us a chance to relax, knowing he was having fun and in good hands. I also want to give a special mention to Angela. She went out of her way to make sure our family had everything we needed

We arrived for a family holiday and l can say with certainty that it was exactly what we were looking for

Excellent food wherever we ate and a big thumbs up to all the people in the main restaurant who really provide an excellent food and service experience even though there are many customers who do not respect the staff and their work

From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and provided impeccable service throughout my stay

Great hotel, excellent choice of foods, drinks, restaurants. Kids will love the slide pool, as will parents who can sun bathe whilst keeping an eye on them in the not too deep water

The view from the main pool was amazing. The a la carte restaurants were of a great standard with lots of choices. The staff were wonderful and very attentive

My only criticism was the main large pool was salt water, which I really don't like but I got used to this after a few days

Hotel is right on the beach so easy access to water sports and sun beds. 4 pools in total, great evening entertainment for kids. 10 min taxi ride from Old Town and New Town

Overall, I would definitely go back to the hotel for a 2nd visit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a touch of luxury and friendly staff to attend to your needs and wants

Here for a 2 week holiday including a wedding. Lots to do and about 10 minutes by taxi into Rhodes Old Town. Haven't tried all the restaurant yet, but so far so good

We loved the aqua fitness classes, the live music on Sunday night, and the magic show in the theater. There was also a fun acrobatic entertainment for children on July 21

The hotel was absolutely amazing, I can’t thank the staff enough and how family friendly everything is! Best holiday I have been on!

Hotel is clean and spacious and definitely one of the best ones in Rhodes, main issue is that there is no separation from the adult only and family parties and therefore can be very noisy around the pools and buffet dining

This can be easily rectified by the management by having separate areas in the restaurant dedicated to only adults and families with young children

By the end of the trip, we felt like part of the family. Lastly, the private beach and the spa are both beautiful clean and relaxing. We will definitely be returning to the Mitsis Alila Resort in the future

There is an adults only pool but in the six days we were there it was packed and no space available (despite getting up at 6am). The al la carte restaurants are definitely worth a visit as well as the Champagne bar

They were the same around the pool, it's frosted glass with no lock but you can see through and around the edges, I've never been anywhere that has this before so found it strange but not the end of the world, Sharing a room with 3 boys was interesting but we managed and The view was beautiful from the balcony

All in all, it's a nice resort but we, as a family with kids aged 14 and 10 needed more entertainment, more open slides and better sunbed availability as getting up so early was irritating but there really was no other option! we wouldn't book here again but it was very enjoyable and we still had a great time bar these niggles! X

Kids slides are only open one at a time at different slots throughout the day which resulted in long wait times, the largest slide has a height restriction, which I understand but with a 10 year old was upsetting when the others were all closed

Hotel is beautiful and clean! We had a family room with sliding door which was great for us, the only issue is the no door on the bathroom and glass door on the actual toilet, which is bizarre

My children didn't find them interesting and we found lots of people at night were sat playing cards to entertain themselves

Staff are lovely, but there are not enough staff at the pool bars causing long waits at times

Just incredible! Best family holiday we had. Food was stunning for an all inclusive and kids were more than happy work the mocktail list and ice cream and doughnuts readily available

Lovely hotel, very clean and staff very friendly. A wide choice of food which caters for everyone, you will never go hungry. If you have a sunbed in the garden area, you have plenty of room to spread out

Room was clean and tidy however next time we would need to book a superior room as the headspace on the top bunk bed was too low and our son had to be mindful not to hit his head

Have tried booking with JET2 for next year but it says 2026 not yet available so will keep checking. If you choose to stay at this resort you will not be disappointed :)

Loved the cushioned sun loungers by the 3 pools. Theres more that i have probably missed. The staff were always happy and smiling and would great you where ever you went

Staff are mostly fine, but don’t really care about guests, at least that’s how we felt when we approached them. Beach is nice, water is clear, pools are fine, sun loungers are very comfortable

1st class service from check in/out, bus times, late check out info. Not one bad thing to say about the food. Breakfast had everything you could ask for even onion rings !! Lunch and dinner catered for all foodies

Lager was Vap and mythros and they were just right during the hot days. Great view from the 7th floor although a little nervous sitting on the balcony as its a long way down when you look over the edge

Rooms cleaned everyday and to a high standard. Beach towels were provided, shower rooms available after check out. Something on offer all day -aqua aerobics etc. The small water park is a great idea

Great place for family with wonderful water park and short walk to Faliraki beach which is ideal for children as it is quite shallow enjoyed our stay very much

Had a very nice holiday in this simple but lovely hotel. The rooms are clean, tidy and have a nice bed. A view of the pool is a must! The owners are incredibly friendly. We rented a car and everything was fine

Sun beds are hard to secure, unless you are out at dawn and the pool areas can be very loud. The flumes are fabby for the kids though. Theres also a tennis court, beach volleyball court, boules and outdoor chess

The main two big pools (together) with bars have daytime activities which are loud but look fun if you like this type of thing. Aqua aerobics, water polo, silly cooking class, yoga, staff dressed as kids characters etc

You get your hot food, but are waiting 10 minutes for them to restock forks. You have a dish for your cereal, but then the milk runs out and by the time they refill, you have had enough of waiting

Food options ok but it is like being in a school canteen, you have to grab for your life and many people have little manners. You end up doing the same after a few days, and it’s exhausting

Air con not working, had it fixed and walked in to a dripping air con that had saturated a whole case full of clothes. Staff are pleasant, but I would say ineffectual

If it’s busy at night, there are not enough chairs in the bar areas and you can’t always get a seat for the show, as this is often in the open air amphitheatre

Pros + Very large territory + landscape + very close to the beach + grocery store, souvenirs and me. etc on site + a huge number of cafes and restaurants nearby. Cons - not quite new, some parts are worn out

Recently returned from 10 days at Rodos Palace. Hotel looked good upon arrival but rooms very disappointing, old and worn. Our room was fairly clean, but my brothers was not

Cleaners accidentally left our room door open 2 days running, I reported to reception, giving them a chance to improve. Restaurant was a nightmare !! So chaotic and noisy, not a pleasant experience

The pool area is huge, perfect for chilling after the beach, and the hotel’s private beach strip made it super easy to go for a swim without fighting crowds

Some staff were very rude to guests, thankfully not us, but could be overheard at the pool bar being very nasty. Unfortunately, We will not return to this hotel, and couldn't honestly recommend

The location offers proximity to the city centre w/o all the noise of one, and a plethora of amazing restaurants in walkable distance (it is quite a walk to the city centre though so a car/cab/etc is preferable in that case)

From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was outstanding. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely committed to making sure everything was just right

The pool was freezing and unless you get a certain sunbed which is in the sun all day you end up having to move beds so you get sun. The sunbeds are quite packed in so you can't really move them around

5€p\p) from there to town and taxi per 10 €. Restaurants around but better to have a dinner in town or hotel. They have many activities so if you don’t want to get out of the hotel you don’t get bored

We went bed and breakfast and I'd recommend that as the quality of the nearby restaurants was good, with reasonable prices. Breakfast was nice in the hotel

All Inclusive hotel with very nice pool area, close to everywhere, the beach, the airport and Rhodes town. Close to the hotel is a lot of gift shops and a good, cheap car rental (Sky Rent a Car)

Some rooms are a bit outdated. The buffet restaurant (Dionyssos) has very good rotating menu

If the pool feels too loud or crowded, you can simply step onto the beach, which is conveniently located next to it. The food overall was a highlight

Breakfast was standard—similar to what you'd find in many hotels—but I would have loved to see more local fruits included. However, lunch and dinner were exceptional

Hotel Sunshine Rhodes We recently stayed at Hotel Sunshine Rhodes and had a lovely experience, which I would rate as 4 stars

Our family of five is currently on our fourth day of a seven-day stay at the Sheraton Rhodes Resort, and it has far exceeded our expectations in every way (room 1124)

The hotel offers fantastic pool areas, comfortable and well-maintained rooms, and quality restaurants. While the hotel shows some signs of use, the overall standard remains high

The hotel is conveniently located near the ocean, with a short tunnel that allows easy access to the beach from the pool area, another great feature

Lovely private beach and a selection of pristine pools

Unlike many hotels, where gyms are small and often tucked away in the basement, Sheraton’s fitness center is spacious, well-equipped, and climate-controlled—definitely a major plus for those who want to keep up their fitness routines

The only minor downside has been the slow elevators, but since we're on holiday, we're in no rush, so it hasn’t been a big issue. Overall, Sheraton Rhodes Resort has earned our highest recommendation

The animation team and in particular Emma and Mathias made the stay much more enjoyable with their energy and enthusiasm, they were very friendly from the start of our stay and we’re a lot of fun to have around, persuading me and my group to get involved with the activity’s that are on offer at the hotel and cannot fault them one bit throughout our stay and are definitely a highlight from the whole...

The hotel was fabulous clean tidy well looked after, all the staff very helpful room was cleaned everyday towels including beach towel where changed every day , the food was average but you won’t starve, loads to eat and drink, more sun beds than you could wave a stick at , entertainment was ok 2 decent acts out of 7 the only down side was everything stopped at 11pm bars stayed open till 1am but nothing...

People do get to the pool beds and cabanas first but there are lots of other seating options for sun bathing

The themed a la carte restaurant were a mixed bag with Greek and the bakery being amazing! Very good quality, freshly prepared. Italian restaurant was very basic and rushed and nothing about it felt Italian

There are 4 bars in this all inclusive hotel. The busiest one was at the pool area. Overall pool was very well set up! There were plenty of sun loungers and beds so you didn’t have to run and get a bed early

Our stay at Electra Palace was fantastic from start to finish. The staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home

Breakfast was good, for dinner as a vegan, the overall experience was good, the manager showed me around the buffet on the first night, showed me what was suitable and said they could cook me something fresh if I didn't have enough options

The food was fresh and tasty, however protein was lacking, it would have been nice to see more plant based protein options, even just legumes without added fish, cheese, etc

Overall clean, but there were some details that could be improved such as the rusty mirror, mould in the shower and the mattress was quite soft

Great hotel, right on the beach depending on which block you are staying in. We stayed in a superior garden suite, sleeps 4. Room cleaned every day, breakfast and lunches great, no queues or shortage of food

I enjoyed my 7 night stay in October on half board basis. On arrival I was kindly upgraded to one of the rooms in the beachfront wing

The location is brilliant, next to the coastline and such warm weather. The staff are absolutely amazing throughout the whole resort, and the spa is excellent, so soothing and calming, do recommend it here

Unfortunately the evening entertainment is very quiet and lacking atmosphere unlike the first time we stayed here, (it really used to buzz) there is no Karaoke now and we have noticed the bar is less busy, when the acts are on you can hardly hear them and it just sounds like background music which doesn't seem to draw the guests the way it used to

We love where the Hotel is positioned as it's easy to walk into lalysos and just a short taxi ride to town. The beach opposite is really good with toilets and a great beach cafe

Lots of sunloungers available on the beach or by the pool and there is a beach bar, so you can get drinks and snacks on the beach. I'm not so into hotel entertainment but the team seemed really nice

An amazing 5 star hotel with room for improvement. We have been 14 days in this hotel, and we absolutely loved the staff, the room, the beach and swimming pools

The key feature to this hotel personally I believe was the ability to order drinks to the sun beds which gave the holiday a very luxurious feel and the empty cups were always collected before they have any chance of building up

The most relaxing, wonderful family holiday

All inclusive is definitely the way to go at this hotel! Food choice is amazing, cocktails are great, entertainment each night is really good, staff are friendly and helpful, everything is lovely and clean

We had a room at the front of the hotel beds comfortable rooms clean. being at the front of the hotel there was a lot of noise in the morning around 6am onwards. Breakfast is good alot of choice

Best hotel I’ve been to in Greece, William, Maria, Pedro all were outstanding in their customer service. Great food from the kitchen, breakfast and dinner. Then cafe on the beach was fantastic

The pool bar added to the selection of food available and had a relaxed vibe in the evening. Although the road to the front is busy, it was not an issue for us

Overall, it was an amazing experience. We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, always kind, and ready to help with anything, which made us feel completely relaxed and worry-free

The view from the room was absolutely stunning — whether in the morning at sunrise, during the day, or in the evening. All rooms have a balcony, which makes it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery

We preferred the superior sea view room, which had been renovated. The only minor downside was that it had two single beds instead of one large bed for couples, but it wasn’t a big issue for us

We had the all-inclusive option, which offered a wide variety of dishes: beef, pork, chicken, fish, seafood, vegetables, cheese, fruits, desserts, pastries, drinks, and even ice cream

Beach towels were provided by the hotel; they were a bit worn but still perfectly usable. The standard rooms are on the smaller side but include a bathtub

Stil a fantastic place I really can recommend. The staff is amazing making this place even better than last time. Stayed here late summer 2014. Absolutely lovely, quiet and exclusive hotel to stay at

This is a wonderful hotel on the beach. It us quiet , relaxing with lovely staff. The bungalows are light and spacious with a lovely terrace to sit in the evening to enjoy some Rodos wine.

It seems to be not bad, but what are cockroaches! His wife and children were afraid to go into the bathroom while I examined her for their absence

Strong 3ka, but overall a pleasant experience

The place is good. Would come again. Staff great and helpful. Food plentiful and varied. Only thing that holds it back from a good 5 star is that our room was tired and dated although perfectly serviceable.

Came here by chance, our hotel was not for us. When started vparivat what that five was not that funny. Main disadvantages: food very well like dvoichnyi the hotel, the front Desk staff is quite adequate and good

The beach area is for resort guests so the sunbeds are free. The main pool area is beautiful especially at night with the different lights. The location of the resort is the main attraction

Brilliant holiday for the last week of the season the entertainment staff were brilliant with a big shout out for Ida who was always smiling and making sure we all had a great time!! We made some great friends too which was a bonus! The bar staff were fast and made us feel welcome with a great selection of all inclusive cocktails

Old/New Town Rhodes was very beautiful and only a 15minute bus ride from hotel. Entertainment was excellent for both adults and children, the staff are very engaging with the audience

The balcony was stunning with the sea view. Food was very nice, warm and a good variety. They also did different traditional foods which was interesting

I will start off by praising Maria (waitress) and Carlos(waiter) These two I observed and they were the best out of any of the waiters or waitresses they was both very attentive and kind and always had a smile on their face

Carlos is always smiling and is making sure that the guests are okay. He takes very good initiative with cleaning tables and keeping the process move and lovely in the restaurant. Overall, I loved my room and the food

We were staying in the executive rooms, so it was quite a walk to get to our room: into reception, up a flight of stairs, walk past the pool, into the hotel block, and up another two flights of stairs for the floor we were staying on

30pm and the food is delicious- best we had all week! Would I go back??? Probably not, but that’s down to me and my food preferences. Pool area always clean, in fact the whole place was always spotless

You then have to go up a set of stairs to access the pool, and up a separate set of stairs to access the restaurant. The evening bar is on the same floor as reception

Except for some reason they also water the paths, effectively turning the entire path into a slip and slide

The rooms were cleaned daily and the maids were pleasant but if you’re looking for a bed around the pool where the daytime activities are then you’ll need to be down there by 6/7 am even though there are signs up telling you not to reserve beds by placing towels on them or they’ll be removed

There is a smaller more quiet pool which is better for getting a bed but again it can get quite busy especially in the afternoons

Pleasant and warm staff, from the welcome to the restaurant service. A rental service available at the reception with -10% for people who reside in the hotel, a very nice man. Swimming pool, deckchair, calm and rest

The hotel has an excellent location, close to the sea. Charming and serviceminded staff. The outdoor area was in good condition and so was the pool area

Lovely hotel - clean rooms, gorgeous pool area and bar, staff were all so friendly and helpful. Located 30 mins max from Rhodes centre, and lots of other attractions near by. We had a lovely stay and would come again

This is the absolute definition of Greek hospitality. Excellent services, delicious food, artisan cocktails by the pool and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped

Would highly recommend heading into the resort centre, where there are so many lovely places to eat and drink. Food in the restaurant was lovely and I’d recommend that also. Lots of alcohol-free cocktail options

Not a child friendly resort - aimed at young couples and friends. Wouldn’t recommend Prestige Travel transfers into old town, go with the local buses as they are a lot cheaper and more reliable

Incredible room w a hot-tub (sea view). Staff were very polite and friendly, especially the receptionist! Pool area was GORGEOUS. Reception were also great help with any issues

It’s not very private from neighbour but that wasn’t an issue for us. The pool and bar is very relaxing and chilled they do have pool parties on weekend but we were not there for them

Great Hotel, good value and excellent service!

Large Rooms for a small Price and very friendly owner, definitely worth a stay! But AirCon on the opposite side of the sleeping room, so it's hot inside.

Pretty good hotel, bar drinks are strong, but doesn't taste good, beach is stoney. Entertainment is good, restaurant is good.
