Where to stay with kids in Ixia

Loved it! Nice clean rooms, pools and seating the restaurants are nice and when they are not open there are giros chips and pizza available by the pool lovely view of the sea whilst at the bar you can sit on the beach some great cocktails and mocktails a lovey Spa, lovely staff and shops have just what you need perfect t holiday

That's lovely hotel, room was nice and clean (thanks to cleaning team),just a few meters away from beech ,plenty of swimming pools and entertainment,make that hotel great for families

The Mediterranean à la carte was a personal favorite — every bite felt like a fine dining experience. Equally impressive was the service throughout the hotel. The staff were consistently warm, polite, and attentive

Nice food on the main restaurant, plenty of choice and very tasty 😋. Stuff is amazing, thank to all waitress🍽,receptionist, cleaners, really nice and warm people

The animation team are amazing, the energy levels from them throughout the whole day is very impressive and always smiling and engaging with everyone

I recently stayed at this hotel and was truly impressed, especially by the culinary experience and the exceptional service. The main restaurant offers a fantastic variety of dishes with something new every day

My first vacation with my family wasn't that great. We arrived after 1:00 AM, checked in, and went up to our room. We entered the room and I immediately went to the bathroom to check everything

Has everything you need nice and close. (Kids pool, kids club within sight of main pools, beach). The food was incredible! Nice touch being greeted to the restaurant without fail

I expected more fish, but that wasn't the case. The children's area was truly lacking; the swing was about to come apart. For a 4-star hotel, they still need to work hard on cleanliness, friendliness, and food

One important issue is the lack of supervision at the pool — unfortunately, some guests ignored the rules, jumping dangerously into the water near small children and rinsing sandy feet directly in the pool

Areas for Improvement: While the facilities were generally good, we did notice that the pool area could use more frequent cleaning, especially during busy times

It gave us a chance to relax, knowing he was having fun and in good hands. I also want to give a special mention to Angela. She went out of her way to make sure our family had everything we needed

We arrived for a family holiday and l can say with certainty that it was exactly what we were looking for

Great hotel, excellent choice of foods, drinks, restaurants. Kids will love the slide pool, as will parents who can sun bathe whilst keeping an eye on them in the not too deep water

The view from the main pool was amazing. The a la carte restaurants were of a great standard with lots of choices. The staff were wonderful and very attentive

My only criticism was the main large pool was salt water, which I really don't like but I got used to this after a few days

Hotel is right on the beach so easy access to water sports and sun beds. 4 pools in total, great evening entertainment for kids. 10 min taxi ride from Old Town and New Town

Overall, I would definitely go back to the hotel for a 2nd visit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a touch of luxury and friendly staff to attend to your needs and wants

Here for a 2 week holiday including a wedding. Lots to do and about 10 minutes by taxi into Rhodes Old Town. Haven't tried all the restaurant yet, but so far so good

We loved the aqua fitness classes, the live music on Sunday night, and the magic show in the theater. There was also a fun acrobatic entertainment for children on July 21

The hotel was absolutely amazing, I can’t thank the staff enough and how family friendly everything is! Best holiday I have been on!

Hotel is clean and spacious and definitely one of the best ones in Rhodes, main issue is that there is no separation from the adult only and family parties and therefore can be very noisy around the pools and buffet dining

This can be easily rectified by the management by having separate areas in the restaurant dedicated to only adults and families with young children

By the end of the trip, we felt like part of the family. Lastly, the private beach and the spa are both beautiful clean and relaxing. We will definitely be returning to the Mitsis Alila Resort in the future

There is an adults only pool but in the six days we were there it was packed and no space available (despite getting up at 6am). The al la carte restaurants are definitely worth a visit as well as the Champagne bar

They were the same around the pool, it's frosted glass with no lock but you can see through and around the edges, I've never been anywhere that has this before so found it strange but not the end of the world, Sharing a room with 3 boys was interesting but we managed and The view was beautiful from the balcony

All in all, it's a nice resort but we, as a family with kids aged 14 and 10 needed more entertainment, more open slides and better sunbed availability as getting up so early was irritating but there really was no other option! we wouldn't book here again but it was very enjoyable and we still had a great time bar these niggles! X

Kids slides are only open one at a time at different slots throughout the day which resulted in long wait times, the largest slide has a height restriction, which I understand but with a 10 year old was upsetting when the others were all closed

Hotel is beautiful and clean! We had a family room with sliding door which was great for us, the only issue is the no door on the bathroom and glass door on the actual toilet, which is bizarre

My children didn't find them interesting and we found lots of people at night were sat playing cards to entertain themselves

Staff are lovely, but there are not enough staff at the pool bars causing long waits at times

Just incredible! Best family holiday we had. Food was stunning for an all inclusive and kids were more than happy work the mocktail list and ice cream and doughnuts readily available

Lovely hotel, very clean and staff very friendly. A wide choice of food which caters for everyone, you will never go hungry. If you have a sunbed in the garden area, you have plenty of room to spread out

Room was clean and tidy however next time we would need to book a superior room as the headspace on the top bunk bed was too low and our son had to be mindful not to hit his head

Have tried booking with JET2 for next year but it says 2026 not yet available so will keep checking. If you choose to stay at this resort you will not be disappointed :)

The hotel needs some love in a lot of areas, but I guess they are working on it as some changes are seen compared with last year. I love the fact that this year the entertainment is different every evening

Lovely hotel with good location, Faliraky is within walking distance and there is a bus station right in front of the hotel

No coffee in the room and not allowed to bring drinks to the room, the funny bit is, the room has a fridge but with only one bottle of water and like I said, not allowed to bring any drinks to the room

The all inclusive drinks is what expected for an average hotel, not very special and got to pay for them after 11pm. Loads of families with kids so not a good place for couples

The room for 3, a double bed and a single sofa that converts into a small kids bed. The shower/bath is quite small, I’m 5”6 or 1. 68 and I feel a bit tight in the shower

Great place for family with wonderful water park and short walk to Faliraki beach which is ideal for children as it is quite shallow enjoyed our stay very much

Delightful small family run hotel. Located on a private road 15mins from the centre by foot 5 min by taxi. Quiet area at night away from the hussle & bustle. Charming and friendly staff, with 24h reception service

Had a very nice holiday in this simple but lovely hotel. The rooms are clean, tidy and have a nice bed. A view of the pool is a must! The owners are incredibly friendly. We rented a car and everything was fine

Magnificent experience, the hotel is very quiet. The staff was very friendly, always available for any need. The swimming pool and the space available are excellent for a little relaxation

Pool and Splashworld are fantastic - so good for families and kids. The food was really varied and fun to try but it did leave me desperate for familiar food when I returned

Excellent hotel - full five stars, but at a reasonable price without show-offs and excesses. Like all hotels of the Mitsis system. Good entertainment program in the evening (they invite artists of different genres)

The location couldn’t be better, right next to the beach, and the hotel’s private pool was clean and perfect for relaxing. Our room was spotless and kept tidy every day, which we really appreciated

Sun beds are hard to secure, unless you are out at dawn and the pool areas can be very loud. The flumes are fabby for the kids though. Theres also a tennis court, beach volleyball court, boules and outdoor chess

The main two big pools (together) with bars have daytime activities which are loud but look fun if you like this type of thing. Aqua aerobics, water polo, silly cooking class, yoga, staff dressed as kids characters etc

You get your hot food, but are waiting 10 minutes for them to restock forks. You have a dish for your cereal, but then the milk runs out and by the time they refill, you have had enough of waiting

Food options ok but it is like being in a school canteen, you have to grab for your life and many people have little manners. You end up doing the same after a few days, and it’s exhausting

Air con not working, had it fixed and walked in to a dripping air con that had saturated a whole case full of clothes. Staff are pleasant, but I would say ineffectual

If it’s busy at night, there are not enough chairs in the bar areas and you can’t always get a seat for the show, as this is often in the open air amphitheatre

We did not get a renovated room but it was still nice and honestly I would have preferred it with the beautiful dark hardwood furniture, large space, and balcony with gorgeous views! It’s a relaxed hotel and has tons of space for conventions/ competitions

We stayed at this hotel for the Martial Arts World Tournament and this hotel did an amazing job! We had thousands of people (filled the hotel plus another hotel) and wow! The hospitality manager (Nicholas) is fantastic

The food on the buffet was fresh and full of recipes to try that are local specialities. Then they have your classic pizza, fries, nuggets that kids love

Restaurants, bars, lounging area and convention rooms. I highly recommend this place for large groups that need space and top notch hospitality. The hospitality manager makes it 5 stars with just him alone

Our family of five is currently on our fourth day of a seven-day stay at the Sheraton Rhodes Resort, and it has far exceeded our expectations in every way (room 1124)

The hotel offers fantastic pool areas, comfortable and well-maintained rooms, and quality restaurants. While the hotel shows some signs of use, the overall standard remains high

The hotel is conveniently located near the ocean, with a short tunnel that allows easy access to the beach from the pool area, another great feature

Lovely private beach and a selection of pristine pools

Unlike many hotels, where gyms are small and often tucked away in the basement, Sheraton’s fitness center is spacious, well-equipped, and climate-controlled—definitely a major plus for those who want to keep up their fitness routines

The only minor downside has been the slow elevators, but since we're on holiday, we're in no rush, so it hasn’t been a big issue. Overall, Sheraton Rhodes Resort has earned our highest recommendation

The location is brilliant, next to the coastline and such warm weather. The staff are absolutely amazing throughout the whole resort, and the spa is excellent, so soothing and calming, do recommend it here

The buffet provides both Greek and international options, with good quality ingredients. I would definitely recommend this hotel

I love this hotel, This was my favourite holiday yet that i’ve ever been on! The rooms are absolutely amazing

The food selection is my favourite bit about this hotel, it tastes so good!! It has so much different varieties of food, and i love how it’s all connected in one building with a rooftop pool and bar, and right next to the private beach

Pools and pool bars and all pool staff👌🏻👌🏻 What they don’t tell you when you’re booking the holiday is if you’re not staying for more than seven days you can’t book any of the other restaurants so its buffet only

to be fair we found the buffet very good with a wide variety of choice (we only had one afternoon where we weren’t 100% satisfied) We stayed All inclusive option mainly because we took our little boy

All Inclusive hotel with very nice pool area, close to everywhere, the beach, the airport and Rhodes town. Close to the hotel is a lot of gift shops and a good, cheap car rental (Sky Rent a Car)

Some rooms are a bit outdated. The buffet restaurant (Dionyssos) has very good rotating menu

If the pool feels too loud or crowded, you can simply step onto the beach, which is conveniently located next to it. The food overall was a highlight

Breakfast was standard—similar to what you'd find in many hotels—but I would have loved to see more local fruits included. However, lunch and dinner were exceptional

Stunning location Right near the strip. Full of beautiful restaurants bars and plenty of shops We had a family room The room was plenty big enough with a sea view. The bathroom needs tidying up

Hotel Sunshine Rhodes We recently stayed at Hotel Sunshine Rhodes and had a lovely experience, which I would rate as 4 stars

Good restaurants, great food. Notice that there are no towels for the pool and the beach, so bring or buy them. Great gardens, really give a serene feeling

We preferred the superior sea view room, which had been renovated. The only minor downside was that it had two single beds instead of one large bed for couples, but it wasn’t a big issue for us

Beach towels were provided by the hotel; they were a bit worn but still perfectly usable. The standard rooms are on the smaller side but include a bathtub

The animation team and in particular Emma and Mathias made the stay much more enjoyable with their energy and enthusiasm, they were very friendly from the start of our stay and we’re a lot of fun to have around, persuading me and my group to get involved with the activity’s that are on offer at the hotel and cannot fault them one bit throughout our stay and are definitely a highlight from the whole...

The hotel was fabulous clean tidy well looked after, all the staff very helpful room was cleaned everyday towels including beach towel where changed every day , the food was average but you won’t starve, loads to eat and drink, more sun beds than you could wave a stick at , entertainment was ok 2 decent acts out of 7 the only down side was everything stopped at 11pm bars stayed open till 1am but nothing...

People do get to the pool beds and cabanas first but there are lots of other seating options for sun bathing

The themed a la carte restaurant were a mixed bag with Greek and the bakery being amazing! Very good quality, freshly prepared. Italian restaurant was very basic and rushed and nothing about it felt Italian

There are 4 bars in this all inclusive hotel. The busiest one was at the pool area. Overall pool was very well set up! There were plenty of sun loungers and beds so you didn’t have to run and get a bed early

Our stay at Electra Palace was fantastic from start to finish. The staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home

Resort is brilliantly located: private, quiet beach and different pools for adults and children. We went with two teenagers (15 and 18) and they loved the sea and the pool

The entertainment is aimed more at younger children but was fun and high energy. We were all inclusive and the food was excellent

The Azure pool was the most relaxing pool imaginable, beautiful seating areas and pool patio overlooking the sea, truly beautiful. Hotel is well situated for trips into Rhodes Old Town, there is an easy shuttle bus

We had a thoroughly relaxing family holiday. A very spacious family apartment in the garden wing, beautifully cleaned by housekeeping, a real treat to return to each day. Very comfortable room and facilities

Indoor pool was quiet and warm open from 10 till 6 if I remember correctly. This truly is an amazing hotel and we will definitely return

Have to add that as a smoker we didn't feel at all segregated like we usually do on holidays, nice comfy seats on the outside area ,with a great view of the sea and the pool

Rooms cleaned daily ,large comfy bed ,lovely walk in shower. Fridge stocked once woth soft drinks and beers Arrived later than expected, were directed to the bar for a drink before the all inclusive stopped at 11

30 ,but you could purchase after that which was great. Were shown to our room ,and they had left us chicken wraps. and pastries ,which we needed after our long trip

This hotel is close to Kalithea Springs ,which is in my opinion a must visit. Evening entertainment was exceptional, Opera and a band whilst we were there

Just come back from the best girls holiday at avra beach! It had a bit of everything to suit all, family's, girls trip, couples ect. The staff was very nice and catered for our every need

But the people that make it are the animation team they are sooo lovely and easy to talk to and definitely entertaining but I have to give a special mention to SAM he just went above and beyond for our party of 12 ladies and nothing was to much trouble

The beach was mostly quiet, which meant getting a sun lounger was easy. The hotel also offered a semi-private taxi to Rhodes town and only cost €3 for a return ticket. Thank you Avra Beach for a perfect holiday 🥰

The best thing about the hotel is the food and beverage. All aspects are excellent: food quality, variety, service, staff, authentic food, kids food, bars, timeliness, hygiene, etc

Nice to listen to sea whilst sunbathing and restaurant location is beautiful for sunsets next to the beach. Different food theme each night. Great pool and OK entertainment

The most relaxing, wonderful family holiday

All inclusive is definitely the way to go at this hotel! Food choice is amazing, cocktails are great, entertainment each night is really good, staff are friendly and helpful, everything is lovely and clean

We had a room at the front of the hotel beds comfortable rooms clean. being at the front of the hotel there was a lot of noise in the morning around 6am onwards. Breakfast is good alot of choice

Best hotel I’ve been to in Greece, William, Maria, Pedro all were outstanding in their customer service. Great food from the kitchen, breakfast and dinner. Then cafe on the beach was fantastic

As a family of four we went to Kalithea Horizon Hotel last year which was more of a resort and kept us all entertained. We have found ourselves bored and going to bed early in the evenings

The hotel was lovely, right across from the beach. Our room was great we had a mountain view overlooking the pool. The food and drinks were good lots to choose from

If you have kids, there is not a lot here for them to do at the hotel, other than the pool and a ping pong table

Plenty of sun loungers around the pool but like every holiday you need to get out early (8am) to get a good spot

We were staying in the executive rooms, so it was quite a walk to get to our room: into reception, up a flight of stairs, walk past the pool, into the hotel block, and up another two flights of stairs for the floor we were staying on

30pm and the food is delicious- best we had all week! Would I go back??? Probably not, but that’s down to me and my food preferences. Pool area always clean, in fact the whole place was always spotless

You then have to go up a set of stairs to access the pool, and up a separate set of stairs to access the restaurant. The evening bar is on the same floor as reception

Except for some reason they also water the paths, effectively turning the entire path into a slip and slide

The rooms were cleaned daily and the maids were pleasant but if you’re looking for a bed around the pool where the daytime activities are then you’ll need to be down there by 6/7 am even though there are signs up telling you not to reserve beds by placing towels on them or they’ll be removed

There is a smaller more quiet pool which is better for getting a bed but again it can get quite busy especially in the afternoons

Stil a fantastic place I really can recommend. The staff is amazing making this place even better than last time. Stayed here late summer 2014. Absolutely lovely, quiet and exclusive hotel to stay at

This is a wonderful hotel on the beach. It us quiet , relaxing with lovely staff. The bungalows are light and spacious with a lovely terrace to sit in the evening to enjoy some Rodos wine.

It seems to be not bad, but what are cockroaches! His wife and children were afraid to go into the bathroom while I examined her for their absence

The place is good. Would come again. Staff great and helpful. Food plentiful and varied. Only thing that holds it back from a good 5 star is that our room was tired and dated although perfectly serviceable.

Came here by chance, our hotel was not for us. When started vparivat what that five was not that funny. Main disadvantages: food very well like dvoichnyi the hotel, the front Desk staff is quite adequate and good

Pleasant and warm staff, from the welcome to the restaurant service. A rental service available at the reception with -10% for people who reside in the hotel, a very nice man. Swimming pool, deckchair, calm and rest

There was a terrace overlooking the main pool you literally walk down 3 steps and you are at the pool. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to chill and relax but I have a feeling in high season it’s a party one

It’s not very private from neighbour but that wasn’t an issue for us. The pool and bar is very relaxing and chilled they do have pool parties on weekend but we were not there for them

We went to reception at check out to be moved and the room they allocated us wasn’t ready so again they moved us to another that was ready. This was pool view room and again it was very spacious and luxury

My husband and I visited for a few days our first holiday without the kids. We upgraded to plunge pool which was lovely. The pool was cold great for morning dip to wake you up

Having to get up super early each morning to reserve sunbeds was quite disappointing. This created an unnecessary stress and ruined the relaxed atmosphere around the pool

The staff and food was great on site we only ate there for lunch. Breakfast great choice of foods only thing lacking was tea, it was hard to find and but you don’t see much tea on the island it’s all coffee

Large Rooms for a small Price and very friendly owner, definitely worth a stay! But AirCon on the opposite side of the sleeping room, so it's hot inside.

Pretty good hotel, bar drinks are strong, but doesn't taste good, beach is stoney. Entertainment is good, restaurant is good.
