I recently stayed at Hotel Monika in Florence and had a mixed experience. The location was convenient, being close to the train station and boasting an amazing Indian restaurant on the ground floor. However, the check-in process was peculiar, as guests are directed to another hotel, Mario, to speak with staff. Upon arrival at Hotel Monika, we found only two staff members, who were difficult to locate within the hotel.Furthermore, the breakfast options were disappointingly limited, prompting us to opt for breakfast outside the hotel. I would advise against booking rooms with breakfast included.Additionally, the entry of the hotel left much to be desired. Its poor condition failed to leave a good impression, contrary to the saying "first impression is last." One thing to add that they don’t have an elevator at hotel.
Overall, while the location and restaurant were highlights, the check-in process, limited breakfast options, and poor entry condition detracted from the overall experience at Hotel Monika.

Satyed for 4days(2023) perfect location +helpful staffs+ clean room especially spacy bathroom everybody knows it is hard to find spacy bathrooms in Italy. Plus you can enjoy the meal at balcony! Value for the money!

Run by 2 brothers and family, very clean and quaint, good breakfast, large room and a patio surrounded by greenery right outside our rooms patio door. The room was 75 euros I think

Close to Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, comfortable rooms. You do have to climb one flight of stairs though.

Quality / price ratio very good. It is not a downtown hotel but the location is very good, 10-15 min walk from everything and 3 min from the train station. If you don't need frills this is a good option.

Old building, owner helpful , grumpy , pissy little sensitive and attentive to the needs of the customers . In a fantastic city where hotels there are lots of, a similar attitude is not tolerable. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PROPERTY

Rooms comfortable,staff friendly and helpful...!it's just a pity there is no elevator to get to the entrance of the hotel.

The location was great right near duomo and the train station. The host was really nice and the rooms and shower were nice. They are a little smaller then American bathrooms but it's more of the italy style. Breakfast was nice but its a traditional Italian breakfast of breads pastries and cereal juice and coffee. The only issue was the air conditioner was loud and was leaking one night. But the host was really great about the leak and fixed it the next day. Nice terrace to eat.
